At the offices of the Cleanup Crew, Irwin Schwab looked around. After dropping the wires off at the dead drop Batman had requested, he'd headed back to the office to finish up the paperwork, writing down Batman's opinion on the need for an investigation into Arkham. Over that time, the feeling of being watched had vanished, and yet now it was back. As if dozens of eyes were on him, watching his every move, prying into his every thought. This always sucked. He finished the forms, checking them a few more times, before putting them in his Outbox. Until the paperwork about cleanup in Metropolis got here, they were going to have a slow day. Then again, this feeling of eyes on him often meant that action was about to break out.

"All of the heroes with space-based combat capabilities, including us, should suit up," said Wonder Woman, "We should meet the enemy head on. Everyone who can't fight in space should load up on the Javelins. We throw everything we have at them and have the Javelin teams board the main ship while we deal with the rest."

Superman could sense Wonder Woman's eagerness for battle. Diana was a proud warrior, and it sometimes seemed as though she almost welcomed conflict. Clark knew she was determined to prove her worth on the battlefield, but he did not share the same desire. Combat was often a necessary aspect of heroics, but Clark would never consider himself a warrior. Nevertheless, Diana was a loyal and valuable ally, and one of the Justice League's most powerful members. Superman was glad she was on his side.

“I agree with Diana,” announced Aquaman, a proud warrior in his own right, “I’ll take a team of heroes on a javelin and lead the assault squad myself, though I don’t think we should put all our eggs in one basket. J'onn, appraise the worlds governments of what is happening, we should be ready in case the unthinkable happens and we fail here. And please contact Atlantis and tell them their King orders them to marshal the armies, ready to reinforce the surface world. I would do it myself, but I am out of communication range here."

Aquaman was a born leader, Clark knew he would get the job done.

"Assemble your javelin team Arthur, and prepare to head out immediately. Diana, myself, and Green Lantern will provide you support.”

"You'll have to find Queen," Superman added, "He's too valuable an asset."

Clark knew of the history and animosity between Aquaman and Green Arrow, but in a situation such as this, it was imperative that they put their differences aside and work together. He trusted that they would. The stakes were too high.

“Alright, let's move out.”

It had been said many times, that Superman stood for Truth, Justice and the American Way. Right now, the truth was that Superman was afraid. Not afraid of what harm may befall him in the coming battle, the fear of death had long since left him, but afraid of the battle's consequences and aftermath. The words of Jor-El still resonated strongly in his mind.

Walt couldn't believe what was going on right now, the Watchtower was under attack by an alien threat and they would have to fight the enemy in space. Despite his cheerful personality, the situation made Walt nervous, he was better fighting on the ground and not in the cold vacuum of space. He wasn't sure if he would be very helpful in a space battle. When he heard Superman direct them those who could not fight in space to go to Aquaman, Walt hurried over to the king of Atlantis.

"So what are we suppose to do? none of have powers that will help in space, and what's a Javelin? I'm guessing it is not the weapon right?" he asked Aquamen, curious to hear the Atlantean's answer.

Wonder Woman nodded and said to J'onn, "You also need to inform my mother of this attack. The Amazons must stand with Man's World in this attack." She followed Superman to the Hangar bays. J'onn and Mister Terrific were evacuating all of the non-essential civilian personnel off of the station just as the last of the heroes arrived, Mister Terrific himself left to join the Javelin teams while J'onn flew down to join Superman and Wonder Woman. As the most powerful telepath on the League he could provide command and control capabilities while his formidable powers would lend a massive boon to the fight.

The station was a flurry of activity as the League prepared to defend itself. As the Man of Steel and the Princess of the Amazons walked they were joined by other heroes. Booster Gold, Doctor Light, the Hawks, Starman, STRIPE, Steel, Orion, Icon, Stargirl, Rocket Red, Captain Atom, and many more. All of them had powers and abilities that would be a massive boon in their fight against their enemy. Heroes like Ice, Black Lightning, Fire, Black Canary, or Katana would be on the teams boarding the Javelins. Diana wished Aquaman and the Javelin teams luck. Hopefully Oliver and Arthur could get along long enough to win this battle. Diana hated to think what would happen should they fail to hold the line here.

They reached the hangars and Wonder Woman suited up in a space survival suit along with the other heroes who couldn't breath in space. The Javelin teams readied themselves and boarded their fighters and Wonder Woman gripped her sword in anticipation of the coming fight. Wonder Woman had been in many battles and fought many enemies but she had never before been in a battle of this scale in the cold of space. She donned her survival helmet and drew her sword and shield with her lasso on the belt. She bent to one knee, bowed her head, and prayed for victory in this fight. And that all of her friends and comrades would live to fight another day. Even as she asked this of her gods she knew that she was prepared to die to ensure the safety of her friends.

She rose and stood next to Superman and the other heroes as the hangar doors opened and revealed the massive armada closing in on them. She itched to face the enemy head on but waited for Superman to give the word. Diana would give this battle everything she had.
