Being the first week of uni, like everyone else, I am also busy, but Rockette and I are working on a collab. Either way, the meds won’t kick in for awhile (for Kim), so unless you want to read about complete (or symbolic) nonsense that Kim is seeing/hearing (that would most likely add nothing to the story), after whoever is ready to post posts, I think we should find a nice place to end the conversation with Sofia (interrupted by the sudden noise deeper in the facility?) and go meet you know who.

By the way, how do you guys feel about Samuel being the antagonist? — from any kind of perspective, if you feel anything at all about it. I mean, it's a pretty common device in story telling, but if you disregard that.

It didn't surprise me, but it fits. I think Emily will be one of the people who has the least difficulty with it.

Well, actually, I should qualify my return with something more than some trite verse.

I ended up disappearing because I kept putting off posting until I had good news...which never arrived. In fact, it still hasn't.

Unfortunately my schedule is such now that I haven't the free time to post as I'd want, or really as often I would need to in order to adhere to the posting guidelines.

I'll still be around, and I won't just drop off completely, but I cannot promise to post even weekly.

Instead, if at all possible, I'd like to hang around and participate as I can, while giving others more freedom to post as Remi if that is agreeable.

I'll still try to post when I can, as well as intend to return in full should my schedule allow it in the future, but that's the short and skinny of my situation.

@Rockette, alright, thanks for letting us know!

@Ten, that's okay, just tell me these things as soon as possible. The way the story and the characters are set up, I can't really kick anyone and replace them, so everyone just post when they can anyway. A weekly post is the ideal, bi-weekly is more realistic, but anything beyond that is going to require more effort on your part. If you come down to one post a month, you really have to get people in on your post to collaborate, so that there can be some meaningful interactions. Anyway, glad to know that you're still with us!

Expected, but —based on what little we know— seems out of character for Samuel, so hopefully we get to read more about what happened to him to change! I simply hope that Samuel doesn’t turn out to be the whining Shion character from Xenosaga 3 (the one where I had too much fun beating up the protagonist when you have to fight her as a boss right before the last boss, after enduring her unbearable attitude for at least half the entire game).

Oh yes, I had a question considering the Tree of Life bit: Can we improve the spirits the character has (add new and/or improved skills) instead of changing the spirits? If we can, what’s the limit/restrictions (number of skills added and/or how much the improved skill can “level up,” so to speak)?

Since Rockette has the charger adapter problem, it’ll most likely mean our collab post will also be delayed.

I will keep posting the background story for Samuel in my posts until they catch up to the present. Some of it will continue to be cryptic, but you will either figure it for yourself or in second part of the story, where it is two hundred years into the future and the characters are seven years older. Haha, I assure you that Sam will not be like that!

You can definitely revise your current spirits, so that they function better within the stagger system, but they should remain pretty much the same if you don't change them for something else. You'd have to give me an example of how you would like to "level up" your skills, as it would be easier for me to answer the question! Around four skills/spirits is what each character can have that are 'combat oriented.'
