Well it depends. Exactly what time-period's level of tech are you imagining here? If it's any time after the 1900's (1850's if you REALLY need to fudge history) then powered flight is a definite possibility. Alternatively, human culture could just be more advanced. Or you could pick and choose technological aspects of various time periods and throw them into an anachronism stew.

Also quick edit to CS. If the term 'science' is too modern, I can change it to 'natural philosophy'

Nah, using science as a term still seems fairly reasonable.

As for the time period, it's a bit awkward since I kind of pictured it as a kind of alternate universe where the need to advance technology wasn't quite as great due to the presence of magic. Like I said, it's a "fairy tale-esque" world, so technologies powered by electricity, for example, wouldn't exactly be a common idea. We could have inventors and such trying to advance this world's known technology over the course of the story, but for the most part, there is supposed to be more of a magical presence then a technological one. If anyone has seen MaouYuu or played The Legend of Zelda, that's closer to what I had in mind.

Aww, thanks! Yeah, Ru was cut up and put back together from a somewhat different character I don't use anymore, but Preston's been around since I was twelve, so he's had a lot of time to be in and out of RPS and developed a whole bunch. X) Definitely one of my more sentimental charries.

And that's good... one of my favorite parts of rp is seeing how different charas react and respond to each other naturally; having a well-developed chara in one's mind is pretty important for that to happen steadily...

This sounds like it could get the plane thing to work out as well, at least backstory-wise. So, kind of a place that can be stumbled upon from the "normal world" or whatever, I guess, but only under certain conditions. This place is more magic-oriented than tech-oriented for now, but the presence of people from more tech-savvy worlds can change this over time. Does this sound okay?

I would guess that those in town probably do know each other for the most part. Or at least have seen each other around here and there, like most people in a town probably do. So, they don't all have to know each other, but it is pretty likely that most of them have at least run into each other before. Feel free to make friends with other neko before the IC opens, if you want. It might provide some interesting backstory opportunities that could add to the main story.

Yay! It's really no problem, since it kinda uncovered a slight hole in my planning, anyhow. I don't always have concepts of time or technology solidified in my mind, it seems, so that was probably going to become an issue at some point. I'm just glad it was brought up early on.

Also, with that worked out, all the characters currently up have been accepted. I'll probably start placing accepted characters on the roster in the description tomorrow, so now is a good time to get any edits done if you forgot anything. You can still make edits later, of course, just warn me if you do so I can look them over.

Accepted, but I'm curious about how you categorized the abilities. Telekinesis seems a bit more active than passive, and Victor's abilities seem like they should switch categories...at least in my mind. If you have a good explanation for it, that's fine, I'm just a bit confused is all.
Other than that, I really like how these look.

Let's see...
I'm going to start off the story in the morning of a typical day in Alber, so neko would probably just be going about their normal morning activities to start out with. I did imagine the village with an outdoor market near the center, so that's a perfectly fine place to put people at the beginning if you want.

Humans could start off either entering the town for the first time or starting their mornings after having been in the town for a while. However long they have been there already is up to the players, so how they get through the morning and on their way to their romantic goals is really up to them based on that. (Although technically, anyone of any species could have been there for any length of time, so ultimately how you start off is really up to you.)

Alber uses a coin based currency system in which the coins are known as lindens and are named after a certain past ruler of a kingdom I totally did not just make up.

Yes, magic is naturally present here even outside of the bonds. The magic created by a bond just tends to be more powerful and easier for an individual to use due to its source. There will likely be magical creatures present in the woods, also.
