Personality: Lauren is a stubborn young woman, fighting for things to go her way. Outwardly, she projects an aura of maturity, but as soon as the situation turns against her favor that aura is quickly replaced by childish tantrums. She is used to being in control, so when control is taken away from her she tends to become less energetic and even sometimes depressed. She doesn't have many acquaintances, but she is extremely loyal to anyone she considers her friends. She is honest, sometimes brutally so, which may put some people off. Overall, though, once you can get on her good side, she is a nice, if single-minded person.
History: Lauren has had a fairly average life. She was born to a middle-class family, with one older brother. Lauren's parents pampered her for the first few years of life, leading her to be slightly spoiled. This outlook diminished over the course of her high school days, as she met and interacted with more different types of people. She began to realize how well off she was compared to some of her other classmates and toned down her attitude, although some of her personality remained. When she got to university, she had to make all new friends and up until the time of her transportation to the game world, she didn't have that many.

Lauren has been a gamer all her life. It started with console games, as her brother had a Nintendo 64 that she'd get a few turns in. She often liked to play it by herself, but her brother didn't like that she was hogging the system. So, when the brother moved away to an American college he took the console with him. Lauren, however, was unperturbed, as she simply moved onto computer games. her favorite games are strategy games, although she does play a few MMORPGs.

• Personality: A greatly sarcastic woman. She's the type that just seems to always crack out a joke or two from a serious event. She doesn't like to take many things seriously, and she isn't a forward thinker in any definition of the word. Despite her sarcasm, she can actually think some things through and be strategic about something. Some other things, such as politics, are the things that she's very honest and passionate about.

• History: She was born in a home that was scarred from a war when she was young, ass her mother died from the war. So, she had her father and her sister as the ones left in the house. Surprisingly, her father had great parenting skills, and so he kept her from most things that were really bad.

As for gaming, she was two when her older sister played the first game she saw, Rayman, for the PlayStation. This is how she became a huge PlayStation fan, at first. The first one she played was Earthworm Jim 2, and she had a blast playing it. Fast foward to where the PS2 came out, she got that, and the first RPG she played on that was Kingdom Hearts. That's how she got into JRPGs. So, when games started coming out on a PC, she switched right over. Soon, she was absolutely decked out. She got into games like Runescape, and that's how it all happened.

Personality: Atori is a bit reserved and shy about others until she gets to know them, and then she grows quite a bit more dynamic and informal (actually a lot more), sometimes bordering on genki. She puts quite a bit of emphasis on hard work works and is of a mindset that if one does not succeed at first, then they should try again until they do. She also has a rather interesting imagination and can come up with the weirdest scenarios in her head. She is rather talented in teasing her friends and saying the strangest things to throw them for a loop. She's also pragmatic enough to use her youthful appearance to get discounts in movies and bus fare, as well as to cosplay.

History: Atori is a third generation Japanese-American that grew up in California, her parents being rather strict as was the common conception of such parental units associated with her background. As a result, she was rather studious throughout her non-college school days and was rather stiff and formal to all but the closest of friends and family. When she finally moved out though, she became much more laidback and took things as they came, working in the IT department and joining the art club with all the new friends she made. It was on one ordinary seeming day of trawling through webpages that a certain link appeared...

As for her gaming preferences, Atori is interested the most in Japanese RPGs of any genre whether it be action or strategic. She also loves fighting games in general. Her worst genres are shooting and racing.

Personality: Simon is a good-natured, level-headed young man. Calm and mild-mannered, Simon tends to be laid-back and polite. He’s a bit of a slacker, and tends to be a bit lazy. Simon doesn’t lose his temper easily, and has a good sense of humor. He’s very loyal as well, and one of the few things that can make him lose his temper is a betrayal of trust.
History: Simon’s life has been normal for the most part. He and his twin sister Kiera grew up in a middle-class home. His father was a teacher and his mom was a stay-at-home mom; the two were in a stable, healthy relationship. His sister Kiera was always a bit shy and nervous, leading Simon to be more protective of her, having to deal with those who’d pick on her. He used to be much more hot-headed, but as he’s grown up he’s mellowed out quite a bit, and grown much more mature with age. Simon’s relatively new to gaming; Kiera introduced him to the JRPG genre and he’s become more and more fascinated with gaming ever since. He still favors JRPGs but also enjoys MMOs and the occasional fighting game.

Personality: A rather easy going guy, he tends to be a bit lazier than others. He can get along well with
other people and usually cracks a jokes and is also very sarcastic. He also is very loyal and caring to his
friends and tends to over-worry about them.
History: Born and raised by a normal family, he had an older brother who showed him many games, from then on
he got hooked. At school he had a good amount of friends but was usually bullied by people who seemingly had no reason to do so
only doing it because they thought it was fun. He ignored these people and retained his attitude. Moving to university, he got
along well with many people and alot of them played games too and he was suprised, but happy.

He liked most of the game types but preferred Co-Op games with his friends as he had a distaste for Competitive games, but still had quite alot of fun with them.

He's not like every regular jock, he doesn't bully people, and he make's sure none of his friends bully anyone when he's around. He loves playing online games, because in them he can be anyone he wants to be, he doesn't have to worry about thinking if someone only likes him, because his parents were famous and had connections in Hollywood. Games are the only way for Cris to have a normal life, which would be weird for regular people but for Cris, gaming was his real life.

Personality: Oscar is a very sweet and mild mannered boy, and sometimes a little too eager to please. However, since he has a high functioning form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome, he rather social awkward. People tend to take thing he says and does the wrong way, and he sometimes doesn't fully understand what others are trying to say, as he is terrible at reading body language and tends to hear what people say, and doesn't read between the lines very well.
History: An only child, Oscar's parents were always busy with work. While he tried to make friends, all the other children his age either made fun of him or got mad at him. All alone, he decided to give video games a try...he was hooked instantly. In video games, he could explore amazing worlds, and making friends suddenly became easy. Sure none of it was real, but it was still a lot more then he got in his own life.

Personality: In real life George is a submissive and nervous man who does whatever he's told. In his gaming life however George is a different person. He's a decisive and assertive leader. Some see him as a villain. Some admire him as a mastermind. In the world of gaming CodeMaster will stop at nothing to get what he desires and what he desires is always more power, influence, and control.
History: George was raised by very strict, abusive parents. If he ever stepped out of line he was beaten. So he survived the only way he could. He obeyed the every command of everyone who had authority. He got straight As in school and went to college. He was too nervous and fearful to ever make any friends. When his schooling was over his parents kicked him out of the house. Left alone George became desperate and got a job at a customer support call center. Day in and day out he answered phones and gives company approved answers to questions. Just a cog in a machine. It was pathetic and he knew it. Still he felt it was impossible for him to do anything else. He believed it was simply his nature to be pathetic. Then one day while using his computer he discovered something very interesting. His first mmo. It was a sandbox game that allowed great freedom. George very much liked the idea of a world where he was free to act without consequence. He played the game and was entranced by it. Before he knew it not only was George successful in the game but he became the leader of a powerful ever expanding kingdom. He was amazed by what he was capable of. In the real world he was nothing but in the game he was great and powerful ruler. Since then gaming was all that mattered to him. He gamed whenever he wasn't sleeping or working. Work was simply a means to keep the internet and electricity on and he only slept because he had to. The game was all that mattered.

- Recluse - Not quite the best at starting a conversation or having the best of hobbies, Eika's solution to spend her time involves solo-gaming throughout games. Being reclusive in her nature, she prefers to merely wander on her own, speak when spoken to, and create the best methods to approaching a situation instead of charging in head-first.
- Determination - Despite her reserved nature, she is rather...so to say...Stubborn, when she needs or wants something done. She's the type that could spend hours grinding on a single quest to get the item she wanted, or arguing a matter until the other party eventually wears down if she truly believes in the cause. In a state like this, only when it borders on messing up any logic and contradicting the concept as a whole would she stop.
- Compassionate - Sure, she is bad at talking to people, but...she won't let those incapable of fending for themselves be harmed. ...It isn't right to hurt those that you can overpower for your own amusement. Whether it's passing off a bit of money without need of thanks, or merely saying a few words of encouragement when she can figure out what can be said...She'll try her best for them.
History:
The new girl always gets bullied in class for how she acts, how she dresses, or...hell...even her name. For Eika, it was no different. The literal meaning of her name -- "Lifeless Singer" -- meant that she had to suffer coming to class with little voodoo dolls on her desk and more than one upsetting note every day. With her father hospitalized in his fight against brain cancer, she was left in her home much of the time with her mother being forced into double, sometimes triple shifts just to cover medical bills and maintaining a decent lifestyle. Terrible, it was. Truly so, that she dove into learning the workings of programming in order to begin creating small projects that she could sell online -- little "indie" games that people would download for small amounts of money that went right into her mother's account. Just little bits here and there, to try and help pay for her father's medication and treatments.

It worked. Much more than expected.

A creative mind like hers made her games breathe life, gave it a bigger fanbase with the unique engines she put in them, made her renowned on the net as a prodigy by the age of seventeen, and set her a job inside of a self-made company of game developers where she was making completed RPGs (mainly within fantasy or horror settings) that bought in, at the least, thousands of dollars from the resulting popularity of all of the work placed into it with each member's work. It allowed her to begin paying for the bills at the cost of her spending more and more time by herself or on Skype to consult with those that she worked with, inside, away from others, than going outside and socializing. A price for success. A...small one at that, to see her mother smiling again and her father slowly beginning to overcome Glioblastoma Multiforme level 4. She could be happy even if she had almost no one to truly talk to -- no one face-to-face to enjoy her time with.

It was in the midst of her biggest project yet -- a solo concept of creating her first co-op server with the help of those more-experienced than her, just setting the bare skeleton of the coding, just creating minimal necessities...And one simple misclick sent her on her way to a literal life-changing link instead of saving the few changes she'd made.
