Heyo, id like to join as well, but there are some questions that bother me, and it would be great if you could answer them. What interests me most is how combat happens: are those auto-hits i see actualy legit, or simply the result of collaborative posting, with the outcome of those attacks coulcluded by PMs? Also, for the sake of fairness, what side should i join to keep the balance, and what kind of power level is acceptable?

This isn't a game buddy, it's a role play. Battles are a mixture of collaborative efforts, and on-the-spot discussion. You know how when you read a story, and a character close to the plot suddenly cops it? The author didn't roll a dice, it either happened in a spur of the moment thought-train, or it was planned.

That's how we've been operating so far anyway, and it's working well.

As for fairness, who cares? Barbarians bringing down a castle, powerful warriors engaged in epic battle, trying to further their causes, and an Imperial Legion arriving on the scene to murder them all. The outcome of all is down to the chaotic democracy of freeform :D

I would say, there have been many small liberties taken as far as auto-hits, however, this keeps the story rolling. I figure, if you really have an issue with something hitting your character, you can post an alternative event, such as, "X's attack almost hits, but misses," etc. Try to keep events within reason however. Nobody is untouchable.

I've been trying to keep my posts as open as possible and giving the other player the option of getting hit or not, and so far they have been rolling with them pretty well.

Just to clarify, Antonius is going to try and fill Rinack's skull with pure magical energy, thus exploding it. I've had it so Imperial Wizards can't use offensive spells, but mind control is still allowed. Rather than control Rinack, he wants to bridge a connection, and then let his power fill the warlock's brain to the point it ruptures and explodes.

Brutal.

But, the Imperial Wizard is Rinack's inferior, if the two went head to head at full strength, then Antonius would lose by a long mile. So you know, play it how you want.

Hmm, I see. Well, I want to show maybe some motive for Rinack's actions. Maybe inspire some pity, or more likely, inspire more fear........

I'ma still here, sorry for leaving Rinack hanging. A GM of another RP decided they were busy IRL, and the other players were like "Hey, SyrianHamster will take over, he's a good man" and I am a sucker for praise, so I had to go off and do it. Required me to rewrite the whole thing pretty much, but it's filling up with players so that's a rewarding point.

Now it's operational, and in the character accepting phase, I am no longer over burdened. Like this, the other RP doesn't require much GM involvement as far as the running of the thing goes. Freeform FTW.

How are Canadians even a problem? I only met a few in my lifetime, but all had one weakness in common: a piece of wood with a nail through it. Super effective and cheap to make.

How come your characters become so much more interesting moments before death? Ima give him a chance, let's see how this works out. To me, this is how I think Broding would react, cuz that's how I imagine he thinks about the world.

I say they're invading my home, but it's actually my grans, and I've been seeing them pretty often, and getting home late (right now it's 11:50). I'll try and get something up tomorrow morning, but I don't want to make any promises.
