Basically, the M1 Astray is the Gundam Ground Type to the Strike Dagger's GM. AKA it's a mass-produced version of the Strike that looks more like a Gundam.

So, I've talked it over extensively with my Co-GM, because we have very different views on the matter of the Astray. We would rather it not be used for reasons pertaining to its aesthetics (Namely its similarity to a Gundam in appearance), more specifically due to a plot point that an Astray would be a little weird to reconcile with.

That said, if it is really important to you, it could be considered. It would, however, require fairly heavy aesthetic modification to be allowable. I'm sorry if that ruins an idea.

EDIT: Well, space probably isn't entirely uninhabited even now. It's just that it's too ravaged to be able to sustain a sizable population. So yes, that'd work.

We discussed that. My Co-GM's objection largely has to do with how Gundamish it looks even without the head. I agree it's a gray area, but I think gray, and he thinks grey. XD We couldn't really agree, so we've elected to say that we'd prefer it not be used.

What are the main model types you'd primarily prefer then?

Well, for the most part, most mass production units are fine. There are certain units that problems have been expressed with (Astrays, Strike Daggers, the Zeta Plus A1s), but they're largely exceptions. Things like GMs (And their many variants), Zakus (And their many variants), Goufs, Flags, Leoses, Jegans, et cetera are all pretty much allowed, barring certain extremely customized variants.

The first few of those actually have bits of backstory for their role in this universe prepared, but little is set in stone.

I have worked out a first draft of my character's biography. Anyone interested can take a look first, and suggestions and comments are always welcomed!

Biography

It was said that blue blood flowed in the veins of Noreille D'amélie. It was believed that among the numerous colonies that declared independence, an ambitious entrepreneur managed to seize a space colony - presumably by the name of Amelia - with his influence and declared himself the hereditary leader of this new country, while citing distant (and dubious) connections to the old nobility from Earth.

As time passed, and the artificial stars extinguished one by one, the growing D'amélie family sworn to protect its homeland to the bitter end. However, fearing that the lineage might be extinguished along with its roots, a daughter of the noble patriarch was sent to one of the last havens of humanity - Mother Earth.

Still an infant in the cradle, little Noreille was escorted by a trusted butler of the family to a relatively stable corner of Earth. As neither the D'amélie family nor its business extended to Earth, and the ongoing war already drained most of its coffer by the time they made planetfall, they were barely able to maintain a somewhat comfortable lifestyle. As such, Noreille soon became familiar with engineering and, in particular, Mobile Suit maintenance, both for a living and for maintaining Étoile Tombante, the MS that carried her to Earth. Despite overwhelming odds, she believed that her family might come to find her some day, and “it would be inappropriate to not return her cradle" by then. The fact that her MS was originally intended for long-range support also helped.

That said, bringing one's own heavily-armed MS proved to be a major advantage when applying for local self-defence unit, and she prompted to do so after her guardian passed away. He had always been against her risking the remaining lineage of the family, but the additional salary, as well as an innate sense of noble obligation, still convinced her despite the butler's reasoning.

After all, it is the duty of nobility to protect its people.

And I did a little reading on the Tallgeese, and it's pretty tough. After talking with my Co-GM, we'd rather you used something else.

So no fun allowed because some arbitrary power level?

@Jerkchicken: No, it's because the Tallgeese is a unit noted for, in its universe, being literally too powerful for most users to handle, and being able to go toe to toe with a Gundam if one ever made it into the hands of a pilot capable of using it. Given that, and given the relative ability of the units intended and selected by the other players, the Tallgeese is just too powerful for a starting game unit.

I apologize if that's not to your liking, but the game's plot does require players to be on a certain general level, and the Tallgeese is above it.
