"The New World"
Okay time and again I've seen these RP fade due to the lack of interest or just plain Laziness, this RP might never get off the ground it's self but "What's Life Without Hope?"
Here's the general setting; it has been 15 Years since the Dead became the nightmares they are today. Humanity is reduced around the world to a mere 5 percent of it's previous numbers.
That means that in the U.S. that of the 322,583,006 there once were before the nightmare with only 0.5 percent surviving to this point there are only 806,475 still alive. That means that if they were spread out evenly across all 50 states there would be only 16,000+ people in each state.
Those still alive have fallen into three basic categories
SURVIVORS : These people run the gamut of types just as they do now. Some help those they find needing help to the extreme type that will drive people off who get to close and in between. Careful while these type are the better people in this world they should be approached with caution
WACKS : These are the Nutjobs of the New World; you know Christian Cannibals, Communist Nudists and other weirdos
WARLORDS : I really don't think that these Bullies of the New World see themselves as building a new society that fits their own twisted ideals.
There are a few other types but they are more hybrids of two of the three.
(Hint: there are rumors that the government's hidden facilities contain operational military units and that they are either waiting for something or up to something.)
World Conditions
Forget about Gasoline powered machines the gas still out there has gone flat. Even diesel has lost it's punch but thankfully these machines can run on Bio-diesel.
But that's not where the trouble ends because there is a shortage of parts.
The Horse an Mule are making a comeback along with the use of Steers as heavy haulers.
Towns and outlying Farms are fortified by stockades and manned by Archers and a few Guns. This is because the amount of ammo available is slowly running short.
Sure people are beginning to make their own gunpowder but it lacks the quality of former stocks and it's dirty.
Think of all those things you take for granted and it's in short supply or missing.
Toilet paper, birth control pills, aspirin, disposable lighters and the like are gone or in short supply. (FYI TP an Feminine products can make even an ugly fat man desirable in some places)

This will be the story of a fortified town named New Hope somewhere in the midwest though I haven't found the exact location yet and I don't want to spend much more lines of post until I see if the RP will even get off the ground.
I will say that all those joining the game will be new to New Hope which is a town of around 2,000 people in town and maybe as many outside
