Welcome to Beacon Academy: A RWBY RP

Teams of four teenaged warriors battling against the monstrous enemies of humanity with crazy custom weapons and superpowers? Sounds ripe for an RP.

This RP will be based on the RWBY webseries, but will be taking place in an alternate universe.

You are a new student at Beacon Academy, the finest institution for training Huntsmen and Huntresses, warriors that protect humanity from the monstrous creatures of Grimm. You will be assigned into a team of four to live, learn, and fight alongside each other.

Character Sheet:

Name: Anything goes here, but the series creator has somesuggestions.
Race: Most students are either human or Faunus, humans with some animalistic traits.
Age: Most students enter Beacon at 17, though you may be a little ahead of or behind the curve.
Gender: Fairly simple.
Bio: A little about your character's personality and past.
Weapon: Students craft their own weapons, most of which have multiple forms and powers of their own.
Semblance: Your unique ability, tied to you rather than your weapon.
Strength/Weakness: Choose up to two strong categories and an equal number of weaknesses from those below.

Weapon: Your weapon may be even stronger than most, or it may come off as a little lame.
Skill: Your general combat ability. You can make up a weakness here with your strengths.
Aura: Your Aura acts as a protective field around you. A strong Aura means you can take more hits than usual.
Semblance: Using your Semblance takes energy in proportion to its power. This trait will give you more or less impact for that energy.
Knowledge: Knowing your enemy and forming a battle plan can be crucial to your survival.
Social: Working with people is crucial both on and off the battlefield.

Name: Rielle Rouge

Race: Phoenix Faunus - She has red wings she keeps hidden under her hood. She can coat them in fire and has the ability to fly.


Age: 17

Gender: Female

Bio: Rielle is nice, outgoing, and fiesty. She can be reckless at times. She is always the chance taker, and it seems to work out for her. Rielle is a proud person, rising up to challenges and always trying to prove herself to others. She looks after her friends, and is easy to get along with. Sometimes shes immature and has a squirrels attenton span. Despite that, she is a well trained fighter and if you make her angry, shes sure to blow something up. She keeps her history mostly hidden due to involvement in the White Fang when she was younger. Both of her parents were members of the White Fang who had left when she was around the age of 12. Having been enrolled in school to become a Huntress, she has always been told by her parents to keep that part of her life a secret. She had been warned by them time and time again that she had to grow strong in order to protect herself and the innocent people of the world. One year before attending Beacon, her parents suddenly went missing and she was taken in by a family friend who works as a teacher at Signal. Now her goal at becoming a Huntress is at the foremost importance in her mind. She wants to get stronger so she can face off against the White Fang since she is convinced they are the ones who took her parents.

She hopes graduation from Beacon will come soon, and that she will not be too late.

Weapon: Crossbow named Seraphine - Transforms into a Boomerang and a Spear; and the arrows are made of Fire


Semblance: Inferno: The ability to create and manipulate fire. She uses this ability as defense by coating her body in it, and as a weapon by creating her arrows out of fire. If she loses her temper, she may accidentally blow something up.

Strengths:
Knowledge: After seeing her enemy fight even once, she is able to quickly adapt and seek out/ exploit their weaknesses. She is a quick thinker, and thinks outside the box, often improvising when things don't seem to go the way she plans.
Skill: She is small and fast on her feet in close range, and has the added ability of flight and expert precision in long range. She often times can leave a match without a single hit being taken to her.

Weaknesses:
Semblance: Though if used properly it can be very powerful, due to Rielle's short temper, she has a hard time being able to use it to her best ability.
Social: Working with people can sometimes be a bit tricky for her. It is mostly because people don't take her seriously, thinks she is weak, and say she is 'too small to do anything significant."

Name: Press Dalton
Race: Human
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Bio: Born into a moderately rich family, Press has a rather high IQ, and hones his skills in creating and perfecting machines. Then a sudden accident occurred, which resulted in the loss of his arms. Fortunately, certain family connections were able to grant Press two robotic arms, one left and one right. After a year in recovery, which mainly involved getting used to his new robotic arms, Press spent his free time thinking of ways to improve his arms. Months passed, and he decided that he should use his arms and his other creations to help others. Of course, that was easier said than done, but he definitely tried. The police, however, refused to accept his handiwork, on account of his age. Stymied, he thought about what to do, and his thoughts wandered to the Hunters and Huntresses. The more he thought about it, the more he was sure. He wanted to be a Hunter. He upgraded his arms, created his own set of weapons, and entered Haven Academy. He gradually improved his fitness as well as his machines, created new arms to replace his outgrown old ones, and transferred to Beacon.

Weapon(s)

His left and right arms, which have become weapons that he personally designed. They are named Ranger and Warrior, respectively. Both are designed to mimic the appearance of regular human arms until they transform.
-His right arm can transform into a long double-sided blade, with the base at the elbow. It can also turn into a mace, with the hand turning into a spherical mace head with spikes and the upper arm capable of extending and retracting to allow extra reach and increased force.
-His left arm can transform into a gun, firing ammo (dust that can act as either bullets or grenades, of course) in either a single-shot or burst-fire setting. His goggles are linked with it, allowing him to lock on to a target for an easier time aiming. At the end of the gun barrel, there is a knife-like blade with a sharp edge, added there for those just-in-case moments.

He also wields a large wrench that acts as a mace as well as a small buckler. They have nothing special about them. Their primary function is to merely hide the fact that his true weapons are his arms.

Semblance: Multi-jump. Essentially he can jump in mid-air in any direction.

Strengths

-His arms are much stronger than an ordinary human's, capable of lifting up to about 400 lbs.
-As mentioned before, he has a rather high IQ, coupled with a normally calm personality, which gives him the ability to strategize very well compared to some of his peers.

Weaknesses

-His arms need routine maintenance at least once every couple days due to their design and use, otherwise they will tend to not respond at times or, in worst-case scenario, cease to function entirely.
-He isn't very durable, and often relies of moving out of the way or blocking with his metal arms, which are more than capable of taking hits.

i believe the name has to have something to do with a color. May i suggest Platinum as the color for Press? not sure how you would want to change the name though.
