So, with the second season of RWBY going pretty strong, I decided I was in the mood to try a RP in the universe. One or two teams of four people would be preferable, though I might accept expanding it to 3, if there are enough people interested. And if someone has a good idea for a name for the RP, feel free to tell me. Good names bring more people in. We'll start by entering Beacon on our first day, then go through with the entry ceremony and make our teams. We'll have a few posts to get to know each other, then see how things go.

I'm in, needless to say. Though, are we going to stick to canon 100%? 'Cause thinking up color-themed names and team names could make a hard task even harder.

I'd also be interested in maybe expanding the setting past Beacon. With the videos on lore (dust / the kingdoms) out, we do have more to go on than just the combat schools. I could be the only one, though, so I'm happy with whatever.

All right, we have 8 people, so we now have 2 teams. Guess that means I'm closing it for more people. And yes, we won't stay just at Beacon, since that would pretty much just make it a school RP. And with regards to the names, I like the idea, but it should be up to each person. All right, I'll start working on a OOC.

And I'll rewatch volume 1 to refresh my memory. Also, what should be the relics that decide teams this time? Since chess pieces were used in the show, I think we should take something else. Of course, if you all think it should just be chess pieces, we'll go with that.

Hm, well since we will be following the original almost exactly, how about we call it RWBY: The Valean War
Since I'm aiming for the fact that we will go beyond Becon. And something bigger will happen, maybe the White Fang may start war with the kingdoms or something, I don't know.

Or you could call it RWBY:Tale of Fate.
But people will probably have better idea than I.

chess pieces worked well but why not Dust vials (added effect of having to look after it)

Okay, so I'll get a barebones OOC up tomorrow, since I'll be away all weekend. So go ahead and post your Characters, and then we can start after the weekend

I'll be working on an archer who uses arrows with Dust-filled heads. We should establish this sort of stuff early so creating/bringing together teams is easier. I'd also recommend not getting too attached to your initial choice in name because we might have to adjust to get team names to work.

I was thinking of making someone who uses a spear and shield combo with the shield housing explosive charges and the spear using propulsion to increase speed.
