[OOC] Just Before the Dawn. (A zombie survival-horror RP)

On 5 PM, November 5, 2014, a mysterious disease spread all around the western world. The dead were back to life, animated and hungry for human brains and flesh. Survivors in the small town of Cherryville will have to survive the night and reach the church to be extracted into safety by the government and military.

Town Map

This RP will take place in a single night, I'm experimenting with new stuff in RP's. Would love to see how an RP would turn out when it takes place in a single night.
The setting would be a small town. Fictional one that is. The main idea is a group of survivors trying to fight off the herds of the undead and make it to the town's church before dawn.

The plan is to have a couple stages, starting with each survivor getting out of their home or wherever they were at 5 PM, when the entire town turned into an Undead feast. And ends in the final stage where all the survivors meet in the church.

There will be room for solo survival, or a couple survivors banding up together. But for starters each will start alone in a specific location in the town.

So this should be fun and organized. The focus would be on character development and surviving

personality: Richard is quite friendly and kind, he is the usual guy around town to lend free favors and helping. He is loyal to his friends, and easygoing with strangers. His only flaw would be his somewhat conservative mind-set, not saying he is savage, but he has some extreme opinions on certain things. An old fashioned man.

Bio: Richard works at the lumber mill outside of the town, he is married to Nevine, and has a kid in college studying Accounting, in Florida. Richard lives a simple life in Cherryville, one he is quite satisfied with. He was born and raised in the town, same as his wife which he married at an early age. The two met and fell in love when he was 20, married a year later. Richard has a house opposite the town hall, traditional country home.

skills: Strong physical build, he has good endurance and strength in him from all the years he been cutting wood. He is also quite adept with Axes, knows all about them and how to swing them.

Personality: John Is a person you don't wanna be with in a apocalypse. He doesn't go along with others, he isn't a team player, he always looks after himself first. Never sought to help others, even if he could help and be able to do something...he doesn't. But that doesn't mean he is stupid. If he had to go along with others for a while to ensure his survival he will. He will do anything to keep on living, even if it means killing other people.
He is simply a treacherous, evil, selfish person. But hence forth this night he might change...or maybe not!

Bio: John was raised in Cherryville and still lives there at the present moment, unemployed. But with enough money to live on for the next 3-4 years. He hadn't earned that money, it was inherited to him after his father's death. His father was his only family, his mother died giving birth to him. His father owned the only bar in town. Months before his death John's father decided to sell the bar to one of the locals. John used to go camping with his dad. His father had taught him how to use a crossbow and how to survive the wilderness.

Skills: Good with crossbows, knifes, and throwing knife. Agile, able to trace "tracer". High survival skills.
Weapons: Crossbow, a couple dozens of bolts. A hunting knife, and throwing knifes.

Bio: Moved into Cherryville four years ago, and joined the fire department but is very quiet about his past.
skills: Strong,and quick on his feet thanks to his training, some medical training, and is pretty good at picking locks and hotwiring cars but don't ask him elaborate on that.

Personality: Dawn is usually seen as cold, blunt, ignorant, bitchy, quiet and thoughtful. She often thinks things through before making a decision, and when arguments take place she is quite reasonable. She always sees towards what makes the most sense and is the most probable. If one were to get past her icy cold barricade of self interest, they would actually find a sensitive, brave and confused girl who just needs someone to care. She is fiercely protective of her friends but won't give two sh*ts for anyone else (unless her friends wish it).

Bio: Dawn always has been a very lonely girl. No matter how hard she tried in life, she couldn't seem to find anyone who actually cared. She was born as an only child and grew up in Cherryville, with an abusive, drunken father and no mother (she left at an early age). During her childhood, she was pushed around not only at home, but also at school. She was bullied for most of her life, putting her in a deep state of depression and social anxiety. The scar on her stomach is where she stabbed herself during her teenage years in an attempt to kill herself in the most agonising way she could think of...

Before Dawn started work as an assassin, she got a job as a waitress for a restaurant. Needless to say, she wasn't very good at it, but tried as best she could. But a terrible boss and a lack of skill in that area of expertise soon lead to some complications.

As she grew older, she found herself failing at school, work and life in general. Before long, she was homeless and starving on the streets, giving her just a little survival experience... There were two things that she was good at, though. Being sneaky, often stealing things to survive, and hitting 2000+ metre targets with a CheyTac Intervention Sniper Rifle, which she acquired when she began her job as an assassin. These two skills became especially useful when she started her current 'occupation'.

One late, cold, winter night, Dawn was abducted by a strange man. The man wanted to make a deal with her. He promised many things, including fresh food and water, a suitable and enjoyable job, a friend, and a new start...but most importantly, revenge and satisfaction, along with redemption. All of this in return for working for him. At hearing this, Dawn couldn't resist, and her training and work began... As of now, she's returned to Cherryville to eliminate a certain "loose end", though the contact might already be dead when she gets there...

She has a natural affinity for weaponry, usually able to name any given weapon or attachment on said weapon as well as giving a detailed account on how it affects the weapon and giving some advice on how to make a weapon better. She is naturally good with guns, mostly with sniper rifles or assault rifles. When not using a gun, her favourite CQC weapon is a KA-BAR Kukri knife. When going out on missions, she will almost always take her knife and her Intervention, and will often wear her ghillie suit that the 'stranger' gave her. Her addiction to alcohol and nicotine is to try and help numb the pain of childhood memories and the nightmares that she occasionally gets of her victims...

personality: Celeste is a very reserved person. She is the thinker type, who seems to have the situation planned out in her head beforehand. Most of the time she is calm and collected, unless something really gets to her. Although Celeste is very introverted, she is willing to help others in their time of need, even if she isn't happy about it. She always stands up for herself and promised herself to always be brave.

Bio: Celeste and her family have moved many places, but for the past few years, they have lived in Cherryville. She has gotten used to keeping quiet and keeping to herself. As a very introverted girl, not many people know her, but she knows most of the names and faces in her school. She barely talks of her family life, keeping it secretive so no one understands her. Ever since she was a kid, she had an affinity for logic and puzzles.

personality: Matt is at most times a fairly laid back person, and his method of thinking is always from a logical point of view, which mean he is not really good with emotional situations. He normally stays to himself and prefers not to be around a large group of people, however if he has to be around a large group he'll cooperate to the best of his ability. He's not too trusting of strangers unless it's a life or death situation and even then he's always wary of others, but even though he says he does not like people or trust them, he cannot help himself when others are in trouble .
Bio: For as long as he could remember Matthew has lived in cherryville with his parents and older sister. When he turned 18 he went away to college in New York and came back to the small town on break.

Personality - Being very straight to the point during choice making situations, Rather aggressive when his idea is rejected despite it being better then another and has the attitude to try and save as many people as he can, He works on keeping everyone as neutral so he doesn't wish to approach those unless its for ideas on how to survive

Bio -
Leon was a rather popular kid in his early days, He was about eight when he first started to meet his true friends in his school, He gained friendships, Best Friends and even a girlfriend before leaving, However this changed him completely when he was sixteen and about when he found that his 'true love forever' was cheating on him with his best friend, Leon didn't say a word and just let it happen not willing to lose two friends because they love each-other and instead sent them a letter saying 'I hope you're happy', As soon as that message was sent Leon signed himself up to the military in hopes of making his life happier from seeing this.
A subtle hint of happiness happened as Leon met some great people during his time in the military who all wanted him to go forward to become one of the best, However because of asthmatic problems he wasn't one for running, But when it came to long range shooting, Leon was at his best being the first in a short while to ace the training course.
Two weeks later Leon was down on the front line as they were low on men, Leon was rushing forward with his allies falling left and right before finally stopping out of breath, Coughing heavily he crawled his way up one of the mounds and laid prone, Shooting all that came near, He killed seven and injured five before then retreating with the rest of his men.
After much more hard work in the army he was finally promoted to Lieutenant where from there he proceeded back to Cherryvile with a few other men to evacuate and take care of a small infection, However it was more then they expected as Leon is now left alone to fend for himself with only his wits, Experience and weaponry to help

@Delta44 your character looks interesting but there is no way I am accepting it into this realistic RP without at least explaining her relation or history to Cherryville. You never mentioned that. Also the character seems a bit too powerful for a zombie survival genre. Dawn seems more suited for action-combat RPs. Please edit it and tone the character down.

As for the rest you are all good to go as soon as I post the first IC.

@Alex your character is also interesting, but edit that last part that says Leon was sent to Cherryville to contain an infection. This RP takes place at the very first day of the zombie apocalypse, there are no military troops in the town yet, or awareness of an infection.
