[IC] Doctor Who: Lost Sister & Missing Memories

The Doctor was sitting outside his TARDIS, which was parked in CARDIFF. he was eating a bowl of fish fingers and custard thinking. He figured it was time to go and see Captain Jack. He often thought about his sister though, the one he had spent years looking for. But He had come to realize he couldn't search for ever. He knew that she was probably dead, he really didn't know that she was still alive.
Sighing the Doctor pulled himself out of his thoughts. He had tried to not want to remember the bad things in this incarnation, or at least not focus on them. Which was reasons he often acted like he didn't remember much of the time war.
Remembering too much in his past incarnations had hurt, He didn't want to go to bed having nightmares and wake in tears, No it was better to be happy or he would end up a wreck.

Finishing off what he was eating, he gets up and started to head to Torchwood base, he was quite prepared for Jack to try flirt with him. He knew Jack hadn't seen him in this incarnation either. He wasn't sure what he was going to do if Jack flirted with him, He got quite awkward about things a lot of the time. He smiled and knocked on the door. He knew what Captian Jack was like.

Jack was sitting at his desk talking on his cell as he was reading some reports. He seemed happy while he was talking to who ever he was talking to. "It will be fine, you'll see. I'll be there and you'll have the time of your life I promise." Jack looked up to hear a knock that seemed a little odd to hear but no one was here but him and so he decided to answer. Getting up, Jack headed for the main entrance to the base and continued onward. "Hey. You try to get over your nervous nerves and I'll pick you up tomorrow at noon tomorrow. Okay? I have company." Jack laughed at whatever was said on the other line. "Okay. Bye." He turned off the phone and answered the door. Upon opening the door, Jack looked at the man before him with a bit of confusion. Oddly enough, he looked hot. Really hot. The hair was wild yet somewhat neat, a bow tie, button up shirt, red suspenders, brown suit jacket, black slacks, dress shoes. Kinda like Jack himself but more tall and skinny. "May I help you?" He asked curiously. Unsure as to what to say to this man or why he was here.

The Doctor looked up at the tall man that he knew to be his friend. " I'm The Doctor, Miss me?" he really didn't know what to say, he pulled out his sonic screwdriver. Knowing what Jack was like, he just blushed deeply. "Thought Id come visit you, " he grinned a little. There wasn't the deep masks of emotional pain like when he had last seen Jack, regeneration had made it easier to bury that pain deep. He knew Jack wouldn't have recognized him right away. He really didn't seem to know how to react around Jack, he was almost thinking Jack was going to hug or kiss him soon as he knew.
He really had missed Jack though, he was alone at the moment, but he seemed to try his best to stay happy.

Jack looked at the male standing before him in awe and shock. Looking at the Sonic Screwdriver that he had, surprised that he was here. The blush on the Doctor's face was certainly cute to Jack but he said nothing about it. All he could do was hug the Time Lord. "Ohh Its good to see you again!" He pulled away from the Doctor and smiled. "How are have you been? By the way. Love the looks." He said as his smile turned into a grin. He was really glad with seeing the Doctor again. It had been so long but no matter the looks, it was the same Doctor.

The Doctor was looking at him, he smiled, but he was blushing more when Jack hugged him, he though hugged his friend back. "Its good to see you two Jack." he didn't know if the immortal still had feelings for him.
"MMM ok I suppose, I mean I wasn't a few months ago, two of my companions died... and I sulked in the clouds for awhile, Fine now though." he looked at Jack more "Ah yeah regeneration, took in too much radiation... did it so Donna's grandfather could escape."

"Ah. Im sorry, Doctor." The Immortal looked at the male with some sadness in his voice. He felt sad for his doctor. He knew what is was like to feel loss. Harkness hugged and kissed the Time Lord on the cheek, not realizing that he had forgotten. "Come on in. No one else is here but me. Everyone's out for a few days. Last mission scraped them up a bit." He told the Time Lord as he walked over toward the main entrance to the base.

The Doctor was looking at him, he blushed even deeper when the immortal kissed his cheek. He didn't remember his relationship with Jack " Yeah... I was ready to give up helping people and retire, " he knew that he had been so hurt from that loss. "Ah I see," he walked in with him and looked around.
"Seems not much has changed. How have you been?"

Once in the base, Jack headed toward his office before walking in where the door was already open. He stopped at his desk when he said that when he said something about retiring. "Now that's new. I honestly can't see you retiring. You love the adventure, the excitement. Why give up on that and doing so much good?" He asked. surprised that he would just give up on that. He heard the Doctor's question but was ignoring it for this needed solving.

The Doctor was looking at him "I don;t know... got low I suppose after Amy and Rory died... felt like the universe didn't ever care what I did, and I never got anything in return, I was conflicted whether to help again and I did because of a girl called Clara,." He leaned on the wall "Shes gone now, least that version of her. Anyways suppose least I didn't retire permanently."
He sits down by Jack and is thinking.

Jack listened to the Doctor, nodding a little as he listened. It was upsetting to hear about what happened to the Time Lord's friends, how they past away. It was sad that they did and wanted to comfort the Doctor. Help him mend from the wounds that were still healing. Sitting down n his chair, he saw the Time Lord sit next to him. Harkness smiled sadly, sliding his hand top of the Doctor's. "And I am sure they all cared for you very Doctor." Jack looked at the Doctor with his smile changing to reassurance. He then had a brilliant idea. "I have an idea. Wanna stay for a couple days? There is someone I would like you to meet."

The Doctor was looking at him, he didn't want to cry anymore. He tried to stay happy and forget the things that hurt. He had already cried as much as he could do. "I tried so hard to keep them safe, take them home give them a chance to live a normal happy life away from the chaos that follows me, but you know my companions in the past, they never want to leave all that, so we traveled again and that was when the weeping angels got them, spent a long time blaming myself." He was looking at Jack, he though piped up grinning very widely when Jack mentioned to stay and that he had a new friend for him to meet, "Oh I love meeting people." he looked quite cheerful at that, He really didn't remeber his relationship with Jack and just thought Jack was being flirty.

Jack thought that was rather quick when he beamed up about meeting someone. "Yep. Tomorrow I'm going to take my sister friend to a party for her birthday tomorrow. She's turning eighteen. Thought maybe you would like to meet her and have a little fun." Jack said with a smile. Deep down though he was feeling a bit sad. He was noticing that this incarnation forgot about their relationship. It was indeed upsetting but he was going to be respectful and back down. He wasn't one for backing down, however he didn't want to lose their friendship.

The Doctor was looking at him. he thought he could sense Jack was deep down sad, but he didn't know why. He grinned more "Ah I see, Birthday parties are cool." he said nodding. "Though I don't celebrate anymore.. 1200 something now I think... unless I'm lying, I can't really remember if I am lying about my age, I'm so old now." He laughed a little though after that. "Sorry its been so long there was a lot to do, Universe nearly ending and cracks in time, more daleks and all the normal stuff."

Jack laughed a little before he started putting some things away. "I can imagine. I haven't celebrated my birthday in so long. But thats alright. If you want, you can park the TARDIS in here. Got plenty of room." He told him as he leaned back in his chair, "I think my friend would love to meet you in all honesty. What do you think?"

The Doctor was grinning and looking at him "Ah of course I'd like to meet your friend." After Amy and Rory had died, he hadn't wanted to meet anybody new, if he hadn't met Clara, he might have still been retired. He smiled softly, He looked exhausted, though he didn't remember, it was almost as if something told him it was ok and he leaned agaisnt Jack in the other chair and closed his eyes, he fell asleep.

Jack was about to get up when he felt a head rest against him. Looking to see what had happened, he saw that the Doctor had fallen asleep, using him as a pillow of some sort. He smiled for he felt a little happy. Though thinking about it, Jack was thinking that just because this happened, doesnt mean that the Doctor had remembered everything or anything at all. Picking up the Doctor slowly, carefully, and quietly. Harkness headed for his room, as before, he lowered him on one side of the bed, covered the Time Lord up and headed for the couch, knowing that since the Doctor wasnt the same Doctor that remembered and loved him, The best thing was to sleep on the couch.

The Doctor slept , he seemed to have less bad dreams these days, But tonight he was having a bad one which left him crying, he woke up and walked out of the room, he was half asleep and though he didn't remember he wanted to curl up by Jack and have the other man comfort him, He ends up laying by him and wrapping his arms around him,
He goes back to sleep, when he wakes the next day, he blushes not realizing he moved, nor knowing why.

Jack has slept on the couch, unaware of what was to happen. Waking up in the middle of the night, Jack woke up to hearing the sound of crying, practically next to him. Looking up, Harkness saw it was the Doctor. He coaxed the Time Lord into his arms while making some room for him. Once the two were settled back down, he stroked the Time Lords hair, humming a small tune as he started falling asleep.
Waking up the following morning, Jack woke, feeling a body next to him. Slowly opening his eyes, the Immportal saw a male cuddled up next to him. Though when he is about to smile, he also saw that the Time Lord was awake. 'oh crap....ooh i hope i can explain' Captain Harkness thought when seeing that look in his eyes. Letting go, Jack felt guilty. Yet feeling that he did no wrong. That the Doctor had come to him in the middle of the night crying and upset from what seemed to be a nightmare.
"Doctor. Please dont get mad..." he sat up but not to where the Time Lord might fall off. "I was sleeping here as you were sleeping on my bed. When i woke up,you were upset and crying as you came to me. My instincts kicked in to where i was trying to help you and you fell asleep while doing so. I thought you were awake enought that you knew what you were doing. Im sorry." He explained as he apologized.

The Doctor looked at Jack, he was red in the face " I did... I don't remember moving from the bed, nor do I know why i came to you like that," while he didn't remember, it was like somewhere in the back of his mind that he did and that he wanted to be with Jack when he was upset. The Time Lord was very confused.
"I haven't had bad dreams in awhile, that one was the first really bad one in awhile." He sighed and sat up rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Why would I go to Jack like that? he wondered. There was a lot going through his mind right now. He had no clue what he had been thinking last night, even if he was blushing all he could say when Jack started apologizing was "Its fine Jack."
