Basically the title, your character will be a Jedi Padawan, and ONLY a Jedi Padawan (not 100%). The setting is well, I haven't chosen it yet. But that's where you guys come in, I have a list of possible settings and you guys can choose from them. If you have another one I missed, feel free to point it out.

Potential Settings

- Old Republic, in the setting of the MMORPG.

- During the prequels, basically when the temple on Corusant was the headquarters.

- During the Rebellion, this one is a bit hard to do considering the fact that it is so unlikely and unplausible to happen.

- After the Rebellion, this one is really broad and can span from Luke just starting to rebuild the Order to after he's dead.

This isn't really descriptive and thorough, and I'm not a hyper fan who knows everything. This is more to check how many people would like which setting, if you express interest, please tell me which setting you want. After a few people have signed up, we can discuss details more.

Any restrictions on the type of lightsaber our character can use?

Yes, don't go crazy. You can add customization and make it unique, but no special types of light sabers like a light whip or things like a crystal enhancer that makes the blade 3x stronger. I'll tell you if you get carried away.

To answer your question, let's look at the facts presented by Star Wars itself.

Jedis who became Sith:
Dooku before he joined the Sith had a Curved-hilt Lightsaber.
Pong Krell before he attepmted to join the Sith used two Double-bladed Lightsabers. Also possibly classified as Lightclubs.

Jedis who became Sith and then became Jedi again:
Bastila Shan used a Double-bladed Lightsaber.
Luke Skywalker used a Shoto Lightsaber.

Jedis:
Jedi Master Kazdan Paratus used a Lightsaber Pike.
Jedi Master Yarael Poof used a Long-handled Lightsaber.
Satele Shan used three different Double-bladed lightsabers over her career.
Jedi Master Tera Sinube used a Sabercane.
Yoda used a Shoto Lightsaber.
Ahsoka Tano used a Shoto Lightsaber.
Ezra Bridger created a Lightsaber-blaster hybrid.
Roblio Darté used a Crossguard Lightsaber.
Maris Brood used a pair of Guard Shoto Lightsabers.

To see if its too far off: I was thinking of a jawa jedi Who combines the 'frozen blaster technology' of a lightsaber/protosaber with the jawa 'ion blaster' to make a saber that deals subdue damage to living targets but reeks havoc on electronics/droids. Such as if he were to stick his saber into a pair of doors, it would be more likely to short out the doors to open rather than melting through the dura-steel.
