Well, Treverrow said that he didn't want to keep throwing familiar characters back into familiar situations. I'm happy to see B.D. Wong though. And I recall a poll on JPLegacy about JW's casting... the one that got the highest number of votes was the Cardboard Cutout of Ian Malcolm.
Personally, I can see why a lot of fans dislike the third movie. However, I like it. Maybe not Rexy getting beat by the Spino, but I loved the addition of new animals in the canon. Plus it pretty much confirmed version numbers in the films with the raptors.

EDIT- Just found this on the wiki. Seems legit, but that's just me. We were told about the Mosasaur feeding shows, but this looks cool.

A throw back to the first won't hurt, I wouldn't mind just a cameo or something, Ian Malcolm was totally against recreating the park at all, you think he'd be protesting. Maybe he'll get a mention like in JP3.

I want to be scared in this one, haven't been since Lost World.

I'm excited, I grew up watching Jurassic Park. I can't wait to see what newer technology and movie magic can do for this, and I totally agree that Jeff Goldblum should make a cameo.

Did someone say Jurassic Park? Love that film. Second and third were ... meh (not remarkable, but not bad). Hopefully the new one does well.

Why does the second get so much flak? It had SOME problems, but it's not nearly as bland as people tend to make it, at least in my opinion.

If it's just OFF the island then yeah, when they got off the island the movie kinda took a downward spiral, but back then it was a funny trope to people that when met with situations completely mindblowing, they just stare stupidly and verbally respond in the most dumbfounded of ways.

Amen to that. Despite how much it deviated so much from the novel, it was a very enjoyable film. I noticed that they incorporated a few things from the first novel, namely the beach scene with Kathy.

I kid, I kid. The novels are excellent, like all of Crichton's novels. Despite the fact that I love the films, if I had the choice, I'd make the novels into miniseries with the budget of Terra Nova.

I love jurassic park, but has anyone noticed that remakes or prequels after the series has been dormant for awhile usually suck? I hope for the fans sake they take their time.

Well they've had 14 years. At least we didn't end up with these, which were in a very early script.



A buddy of mine on JPLegacy confirmed these were in a script back in 2003-2004.
