It is a time of turmoil in Hyrule. One by one the neighboring kindoms have been swallowed by an unidentifiable darkness.
Now there are no safe havens but Castle Town. Refugees pouring in every day, dwindling resources, and the constant reports from all corners of the land of ancient evils reawakening, Queen Zelda can no longer wait for the fabled Hero of the old stories.

It is clear he is not coming...

And even stranger... among the many incoming refugees are Gerudo's, including their current king, a kind-hearted man who couldn't be anything like Ganondorf's incarnation...
It would seem just as her world had learned to plan for and understand the cycle, the Goddesses have taken it away. Now... Something else is rising...

Now being truly unable to rely upon the cycle of the Goddesses, Zelda uses her own power to call upon the identities of those known as sage. And using the very last of her magic and the legendary four-sword, creates into being a fairy unlike any of her kind. One whose soul can split into many. And so the fairy flew off in many different directions to find the new saviors of the land and bring them to the castle... We can only hope they will make it in time...
Throughout the History of our noble land of Hyrule, there have been hundred's of years during which one of the Hero's incarnations do not arise to meet the challenges presented by the Evil in our land. And this is a story of one of those times. Villains once deep in slumber are being awoken by some dark force, and the only ones capable of stopping it are those bearing the title of "Sage"

This doesnt just mean the famous Sage's of time, though! Oh no! The Sage's could spring from anyone, anywhere, at any time. So who are you, great Sage? Where did you come from? What is your name? And do you possess the wisdom, courage, and strength, to work with the many lesser powers of the world and defeat whatever darkness holds its grip over us?

This story will represent a convergence point after all of the LOZ timelines, meaning that all LOZ characters are possible and permitted, as well as opening the gate for OC's.
I will represent the villains and the world around you, and whoever and whatever you are, whether it is hero, antihero, etc. Is completely up to you.

I am introducing a new idea as well. I will be using hiders to give you options in a way. For instance, If you go into a town, you can see the status of the town and the individuals by means of several hiders, which will be updated as the town changes, Allowing you to simply go to the first page and see the differences in whatever town you are currently in, and write your next post based on what you decided to do.

This will allow for a more open-world rp and one that does not necessarily require linear progression. While I am not opposed to a Link-like character, Link himself cannot be a character. He has a tendency to become the main focus of LOZ rp's and this is more going to be an exploration of the rest of Hyrule's spectaculars instead. If I get enough buzz on this interest check in the next two days, I will spend the next five days writing the first section of the world into existence, allowing you guys to play through that while I write the next few sections.

Welcome to Hyrule. This is your home. Shouldnt you be able to live in it?
Quick note. The NPC's are allowed to be controlled by the players using your best judgement and the following set of rules...
1.The NPC always says what it has to say first.
2. You cannot befriend, trick, or threaten an NPC into giving you a purchasable item.
3. The NPC cannot leave the spot it was found in.
4. You cannot affect the NPC in a way that would change its interactions with another player. You may post an intention to, which I will confirm or deny depending on if you've given them the right item etc. etc. and will update the changes as they happen.

Basically after the NPC's scripted message you may converse with it, within reason, as much as you wish! Solve challenges in creative ways if you like too! Even if its not the answer I was looking for, If it fits, I will award you the success! The idea I'm trying to get across is, you can basically do as you please. Everything you wanted to do in this world but couldn't before is now possible! Have fun with it! Enjoy all your different options! And of course I don't expect you to do everything and write a book on it for every post! You can pick and choose what you do, and read all the options as you see fit! But remember that only interactions you write about will have an effect on the world! feel free to meet up with and talk to the other sages too before your meeting! They should be easy to spot sonce they will have the blue fairy floating around them! Have fun! i will add more locations as I go!

Name: Aline, uses the name Alex unless she really trusts someone (which doesn't happen)

Species: Gerudo

Specific Description: Like many of her people Aline has fiery red hair and sand colored eyes. Her build is slight but powerful and despite being only 5'6" she can jump or climb to most places. Her skin is tanned. Perhaps not quite so much as her brethren as she has not seen the desert since she was sixteen, Is light enough that she can pass for Hylian. She often uses a powder made from ground flowers to dye her hair other colors to avoid being recognized.

Typical Species abilities: Like most Gerudo's Aline was trained in the arts of stealth and precision combat. She is skilled with a curved desert sword called a scimitar as well with smaller knives and hand to hand. Her style of combat relies heavily on speed dexterity. Being able to dodge at the right moment. She doesn't wear Armour because it would slow her down and as such can't take a beating like Gorons or knights could. She's being using lock picks since she was three and all but the most expensive and complex fail before her. She is very good at acrobatics and keeping out of sight. She'd fast and if she feels she cannot win a fight she will not hesitate to run.

Personal Skills: A good understanding of the healing arts as well as the effects of a variety of plants.

Starting equipment: She carries two daggers hidden in her clothing, a scimitar strapped to her back and concealed with a cloak the color of the Kikiri woods. She had a lockpick set on her at all times as well as a compass and a waterskin. She carries a small satchel of deku nuts in case she needs to stun someone in order to make a quick getaway.

Home: Aline grew up in the Gerudo valley, the canyon between the desert and the rest of the world. The weather there was not kind and it taught her to never take things at face value.

Backstory: The residents of Gerudo Valley have always had a very unique relationship with the rest of the land. Being a Tribe comprised completely of woman people often say that the Gerudos come to Castle Town looking for boyfriends. This is true in someways but a gross understatement of what actually goes on. In the seedier parts of Castle Town there are certain areas were a Gerudo woman might go if she is looking to conceive a child. In this area a man need only drape a red cloth out his window to let a Gerudo know he is accepting. Publicly this is of course considered a crime and illegal by Hylian law. Privately however there is an unwritten rule among the Castle Town guards that says this area isn't to be policed at night and any Gerudo woman seen entering or leaving the area should not be detained. In the Gerudo Valley once a girl reaches the age of sixteen she is considered a woman and allowed to bear a child from one of these Hylian men.

There was a girl in the Gerudo Valley named Aline. She was raised by the tribe's healer along with her sister Alex and as such both had quite a good understanding of the healing arts as well as the effects of a variety of plants. There was an accident in the desert during Alex's coming of age ceremony. The girl was meant to reach the Spirit Temple and retrieve a sacred object as proof, however on this journey something happened that caused Alex's death. Officially she was overcome by monsters in the desert but Aline knew her sister, she was one of the most skilled combatants the Gerudos had and a master of sand and illusion magic, she would not be killed by simple monsters.

After Alex died Aline felt very alone in the world. She was not close with any of the girls her age. She considered therefore that if she had a child she may be able to fill this pit in her stomach. She was granted permission by the tribe's shaman and was given a horse. She rode to Castle Town arriving in the gates just before night fall. The street she was looking for was not hard to find.

She picked a window at random and climbed the building, slipping quietly into the house. The man she found waiting for her was she supposed not bad looking but he was rude and vulgar and she decided she did not want any child of hers fathered by him. He was not the sort of man to take no for an answer. He attempted to force himself on her and she in self-defense drew a small dagger she'd used to fasten her hair and stabbed him in the stomach three times.

She attempted to wash the blood off her hands as best she could. The body was found earlier than she would have liked. The man it turned out had been a Castle Town solider and she spent the night feverishly dodging patrols that hunted for her. The next day as soon at the gates were open she rode home pushing her horse to its limits. When the shaman of the Gerudo Tribe came to see if Aline was indeed pregnant she found blood encrusted under Aline's nails. She called for the guard and sentence was handed down upon Aline. Murder was the most heinous crime a Gerudo could commit and Aline was sentenced to death without the chance to defend herself. She would be beheaded at dawn.

That night the healer of the tribe came to Aline. She brought with her the key to the cells, a weeks worth of food and smuggled Aline into the horse's stalls. She told her daughter to take a horse and ride as far a she could. Alien with tears in her eyes did as her mother commanded and took refuge in Kakariko Village. After several days she ventured into Faron Woods. to gather herbs she could use to dye her hair. She knew that relations between her people and the Hylians were tenuous. Because of where the death occurred the guard would assume a Gerudo responsible. In order to keep the peace the Gerudos would give them Aline's name and a sketch of her face for the wanted posters.

That was two years ago, now she moves from place to place, stealing what she needs, she uses her sisters name as her own with almost all those she meets. Her heart is always in the right place when it comes to what needs to be done but her methods are often questionable by those with a more ethical viewpoint. She wears the key to the Gerudo Cells around her neck as a reminder of why she can never return home.

Current Location:

Well that's sort of the dark side of the Zelda series. How's it look?

Okay so is Castle Town the only option for locations and by darkness did you mean like a literal darkness like twilight or like a monster or what?

No. Everwhere ancient monsters are taking back temples and casting their shadows over the land. It is not a literal darkness, nor does it have the inter-dimensional qualities of the twilit. Darkness is merely the state of the land. That will become more clear as the story progresses. Also it's not to the point where towns and villages are being abandoned. Just to the point where outside kindoms are flooding into hyrule, which is also starting to see the same signs other kingdoms that were overcome have seen.

Name: Gin
Species: Deku Scrub
Specific Description: Gin is short, as expected for most dekus. His eyes are large and lack pupils, being brilliantly orang. He wears nothing more than a hood cape made of yellow leaves and pantaloons that are made of rust-colored leaves. His skin looks to be made of wood, and his hair is green and is made up of bushes. It is styled into a large pompodaur and near the edge of his head's back is a green flower with red and white tints. His mouth is very brown and wide, his face forming a perpetually angry expression.
Typical Species abilities: Like all dekus, Gin is able to hide into deku flowers. He can use these for storage space, temporary homes, and can spring put of them with propeller-like flowers that will momentarily keep him in the air. He is also able to shoot deku nuts from his mouth, which can cause a blinding flash to appear that will leave anyone in its range stunned. Gin also has great speed, especially when he is frightened. He can also spin to defeat weak enemies, only stunning more powerful foes.
Personal Skills: Gin is skilled at creating potions and possesses an extensive knowledge of the history of the world.
Starting equipment: Gin has a map of hyrule tucked away in one of his pantaloon's pockets. He has a sack with a scarce amount of rupees in it.
Home: Gin lived at the deku swamp, in a wooden log cabin where he was taught by an old witch.
Backstory: Since the day he was born, Gin had always been raised by an eccentric witch who was ridiculously strict. He was said to have been found somewhere in the Woods of Mystery, doing nothing more than serenely playing with a monkey. There were no sign of any parents as far as the eye could see, and in her old age, she needed an apprentice to pass her skills down to.

As multiple years passed, Gin was taught everything the witch knew. But he soon grew frustrated at the witch. He had little sense of freedom other than to study day in and day out, constantly being monitored by the witch. This lead to his personality being crabby, albeit a bit naive due to his lack of experience with the real world. He was never able to explore the world beyond the same swamp he was accustomed to seeing.

After becoming tired of the swamp, he left without a trace. Any world would be better than the monotonous one he was already being forced to live in. But upon leaving the swamp, he was immediately attacked by a dog that had strayed from his owner, which afflicted him with cynophobia. As continued on into Termina itself, he found it to be not much better.

Despite being years older than them, Gin was always picked on by the local children and judged by them. Even though the majority of the adults were able to at least respect him, he felt that they were too condescending because of resemblance to a regular deku child. These inconveniences made him even grumpier than before, his fragile world view has been shattered and he felt a pang of regret for leaving his teacher, but was still too prideful to go back.

He soon left Termina for Hyrule, hoping to become safer from the darkness that began to envelope the land.

Sorry I should have made that more clear. Alex died in the desert, after Aline's crime was discovered by the Gerudos in order to preserve there relations with Hyrule they gave up Aline's name and a sketch of her. Alex is the name Aline started to use after this.

Hey, I was wondering if I could have a demon character. He would be fairly weak in comparison to someone like Demise and would be nice like Batreaux.

Well it's possible she's alive somewhere but I was thinking I'd go the route of someone in the Tribe sabotaged Alex's trip, (put a hallucinogen in her waterskin or something) getting her killed and then there might be some sort of revenge subplot. Something along those lines if its alright.

So in this version of Hyrule Termina is a real place? I'd always just thought that the adventures of Majora's Mask were a hallucination that Link's unconscious brain came up with shortly after being robbed by a Skull Kid wearing a strange mask while he was in the process of turning into the Hero's Shade, a stalfoes.

Yes, that's absolutely fine. Your subplot will be written into one of the towns.

Termina is, in my mind, a real place. The Hero of Time's interactions with the people there were however, not. They were all dead. All of them. My justification for this statement is that eventually you can get a power mask from just about every person and group of people. Something Link can only get from the dead. Also, the different stages of Link's journey into death directly coincide with the stages of greiving. The townspeople are in denial that the moon is going to collapse on them. The Deku king is enraged with his loss and his rage is misplaced. The Yeti Bargains for his wife's health. The Zora think nothing can be done about the situation and want to give up. And finally, Skull kid must accept his loss, and what he's done in his greif in order to move one. The cycle fits. Link was dying and turning to Stalfos, and what's more this also explains that many of the people Link knew in Hyrule had died. And, because Majora's and Ocarins happen on two branches of a timeline, but converge and meet eachother in Twilight Princess, It proves that the timeline can have convergance points. But back to Majora's... this is why he can never change what they do from cycle to cycle. And the Hero's Shade was the result.
Thats the explanation i'm using for this RP.
