"Well it's true, you really are."

Ele nuzzled Tyler's neck, it was surprising to her just how affectionate she could really be, and how much she loved receiving affection in return,

"I got all four of the tires done, but I didn't start on the car because I wanted to make lunch for us. I hope that's okay."

[Tyler Night]

"Of course that's okay. We can eat lunch first then head out and paint the wheels."

He says with a smile.

"So, how long until its done you think?"

"It's done, its just warming in the oven."

She said, reluctantly disengaging from Tyler's arms and going to get the meal out. Setting the dish on the top of the stove, Ele motioned to it,

"Dig in, honey!"

[Tyler Night]

"You don't have to tell me twice."

He grabs a plate and portions out some for himself and Ele. He grabs a fork and walks to the table, sitting down with his plate.

Grabbing her own plate, Ele joined Tyler at the table,

"I feel like such a domestic goddess right now, making food for my man after he comes home from work while I stayed home and kept house..."

Shaking her head, Ele smiled down at her plate,

"I never imagined that would happen to me!"

[Tyler Night]

"Just needed that special person to bring out the best in you."

He says as he digs in.

"Mmmmm. That is delicious."

"You are pretty special."

Taking a bite of her food, Ele nodded and swallowed,

"Thank you!"

They ate in silence for a bit then Ele asked,

"So I do have to wonder, are you going to tell your family about me? I mean, you know about my mom and that horror show. I just don't want one of your family members to decide to visit and I'm here like, 'Surprise! Tyler and I are currently undefined but we sleep in the same bed and I basically live here! Welcome, nice to meet you!'"

[Tyler Night]

"Of course I am gonna tell them about you. It is just a matter of when I talk to them."

He finishes his lunch, smiling.

"We should go grocery shopping after we take care of the wheels."

He says looking over at her.

"I agree, and we should probably go get some of my stuff from the suite. I'm sure your missing being able to wear all of your shirts."

[Tyler Night]

"I have plenty of shirts to wear but it will definitely be easier on you not having to reuse your clothes."

He stands up and says.

"I am gonna go get some old clothes on and we can get started."

He walks to his bedroom, getting on his old stained clothes.

While he changed, Ele gathered their dishes and cleaned up before they both went out to the Miata. Chuckling, Ele pointed to the tires,

"Keep a house, and work on a car... Get you a girl who can do both."

[Tyler Night]

He smiles and says.

"If she doesn't know how, teach her."

He picks up the wheel and tires 1 by 1 wrapping them up tight with plastic, leaving only the wheel uncovered. He grabs his air compressor, fitting a long nozzle on it. He sprays them down, making sure there is no leftover dust on them before carrying them into the tent. He hangs them up on a hook and begins preparing the paint.

Helping him where she could, Ele decided now was as good a time as any to ask the question that had been on her mind for the last couple of days,

"So I don't know if it matters to you,"

She started, mixing the paints next to Tyler as she spoke,

"But what are we?"

[Tyler Night]

He thinks.

"I would guess we're dating."

He says with a smile. He hooks up the gun to the hose and spritzes it a few times until the paint comes out. He hands the gun over to Ele and says.

"There you go."

"You would guess?"

The words were nonchalant, but Ele was searching for a more clear answer. She needed clarity, no games, no half-truths, especially if she was becoming this attached to Tyler. If they weren't dating, boyfriend and girlfriend, she knew that she would return to the city in a week and not come back for fear of being hurt.

Taking the gun, Ele walked over to the tent and gave a few test sprays before starting the paint. It was a good moment for her to take her mind of Tyler and completely concentrate on the tire.

[Tyler Night]

"Guess is kind of a cop out, I would definitely say we are dating."

He says as he turns around.

"I am gonna go sand down the car, get that prepped."

"Okay..."

The word came out uncertainly, even though Ele should have been excited. Why would Tyler admit to copping out on saying they were dating and then run? Did he not want to have a label on their relationship? Moving on to the next tire, Ele tried to focus, she just had to be overthinking the situation. At least, that's what she hoped.

[Tyler Night]

He starts sanding the car down, starting with the hood. He does the cross hatch pattern, keeping it going for some time until the hood is completely bare. He keeps going, heading next to the fenders. Eventually he gets the entire front end completely sanded to bare metal. Covered in paint he decides to take a break, sitting down against the car.

Finished with the tires, which now had a nice sheen of paint to them, Ele left them hanging and unhooked the gun. Her mind was still turning over Tyler's words, and even though she was trying to tell herself that everything was okay, her deeply ingrained flight response was kicking in. Get out now or be hurt later.

Sighing, she put the supplies away and put her hands in her pockets before going to find Tyler,

"The tires are done."

She said blandly.

[Tyler Night]

He stands up when she walks out.

"Awesome. I am just taking a little break for now."

He takes his shirt off and pulls out the hose from the paint tent. He hooks up the nozzle from earlier and starts spraying the dust from his body. He looks back over to her.

"I think I need to explain why I said what I said earlier about us dating. You see, it has been a long time since I have dated and last time I actually put a label on a relationship, thinking that it was time, the relationship went south on me. I don't want to rush labeling it cuz I don't want this to end."
