"I had no idea that human homes were so warm and comfortable." Lyna said with her eyes closed, listening as he walked inside of the room and sat down on the chair across from her. "We didn't. . . They wouldn't give us any luxury until we were paid for. So that we wouldn't expect anything good when they sent us away." Sitting up she shook her head and looked over at the boy who she had been sold, in his hand was a device she had only ever seen once before, in the hands of her handler after getting the call to say that she had been sold. "What's that?" She pointed to it, asking what it was that he was holding.

He looked up at her and chuckled a little. "Well, Humans are warm blooded, and seek comfort at all times." He explained to her, nodding. "Lucky for you, that can only mean the best kind of home for you to be sent to, as a lamia." He added. Lukas was surprised that they didn't give the girls they sold comfort and supposed the reason was ok for doing so...but they at least give them some basic comfort. He looked where she pointed and held it up. "This is a cell phone. I'm sure you know what this does, correct?" He asked.

"I can sleep pretty much anywhere, desert sand is especially warm and comfortable. Why don't you sleep in the sand?" Lyna asked him as she let her long body slid off of the couch and moved toward him, peering over his hands to look at the cell phone in his hands. "I've seen one before but I've never touched it before." Her eyes were big and curious as to what he was doing or how it worked, since the only time she'd seen men with them they had been talking on it for a short amount of time before either getting a girl ready or checking on others. "We were taught to be wives, not how to live in the human world."

"Sand can be very irritating to human skin after a while." He shrugged, watching her come towards him. "We should probably get you one in case I need to contact you." Lukas thought out loud. "We'll go and get you one after lunch. For now, you can look around mine." He handed it to her and patted the seat next to him. Hopefully she didn't mess with anything.

The lamia hadn't expected the boy to ask her to sit next to him and she gentle wove around so that her tail was coiled mostly on the floor and she was sitting next to him where he offered her the strange device. "I'll be here though, or with you." Lyna said as she held onto it with her first finger and thumb, looking at it for a moment. "And I can take care of myself if someone attacks me. I'm almost seven hundred pounds of muscle because of my tail." Thinking back for a moment she looked at him, reaching out with her free hand and touching the skin of his face with the tips of her fingers. "Humans are so strange."

"That wasn't what I meant by contact. I meant like if I'm at work and want to know if you need anything so I can pick it up on the way back, trivial things like that really. Besides, it can kill some time if you play games or something on it. Let me unlock it for you." He put his thumb on the home button and the phone unlocked.

"Like a cloth for me scales?" She asked him, watching as he touched it and almost dropping the device in the process. She hadn't played many games or learned much about human culture, since she wasn't supposed to expect much at all from her new home; even if she was a lamia. "What kind of games? I've only ever played the ones we do with the other girls."

"Exactly." He nodded, preparing to catch the phone if needed if she accidentally dropped it. "Um, puzzle games, silly games, things like that. Here." He swiped on the screen and pulled up Bejeweled. "In this game, you match jewels of the same color and shape to get as many points as you can. If you get enough points in the time limit, you can get to the next round and maybe buy some power ups to help you out as well. You match them like this." He demonstrated how to match some jewels. "You need to make at least 3 touch in order to make a match." He heard the oven beep. "That's the lasagna. I'll be right back." He got up and went to the kitchen. He turned off the oven, put on his oven mitts, and took out the lasagnas. He looked over the 2 pans and nodded when it looked cooked. "Lunch should be ready in a few minutes, after this cools a little.

The girl watched as he pressed a few buttons and slid his finger across the screen of his phone, eye wide in amazement and wonder as she was handed the device again and tried playing the game herself. She stuck her tongue out between her lips, chewing on it slightly while she failed rather miserably at the game. She'd always been a slow learner though she tended to get good at things once she figured out how it worked best for her. When her fiance left the room she watched him go and nodded quietly while trying to play the game again. "I don't mind if it's hot!" Lyna called out to him in the kitchen.

He raised an eyebrow at her response and shrugged. "If you say so." He served hers and brought it to her with a fork and knife. "Here you go, Lyna. How do you like Bejeweled?" He asked, sitting down next to her and watching as she lost the game. She seemed really amazed by the whole concept of phones and touch screens, so he had to make sure to teach her the basics of General technology around their house. He continued to watch her, finding it kinda cute how focused she was getting.

It was strange for the young woman not to notice as food was placed in front of her though the entirety of her focus was on the screen in her hands as she tried to figure out how to win the game though it appeared she wasn't very good at it. Just as she slid a red one into place the timer went off and she was out of time yet again. Her shoulders drooped and she sighed, setting the cell phone down on her lap though it nearly slid off of her smooth scales and she instead caught it and set it down on the arm of the chair beside her so look up at the male who had sat down beside her on the loveseat. "Humans have too much time to spend on silly things." She lifted her chin and crossed her arms beneath her chest, lifting her breasts unintentionally and showing off her flat stomach and soft curves while she did so.

Lukas chuckled lightly as she huffed and crossed her arms after losing the game. "Maybe that game wasn't for you yet." He suggested. "I have some that don't require you to move fast like the other one did." He tried to soothe. "So for now, eat the food and maybe try to relax a little." He then realized that she accidentally showing herself off again. His face went red. "You know what? I think my food is cool, so I'll go get it now, ok?" He laughed nervously before speeding off to the kitchen to hide our for about 5 minutes. Well this was going to be harder than he thought initially.

The lamia had been looking the other direction when the male moved away from her though she could sense his discomfort and it made her shoulders sag slightly again. Perhaps she wasn't his type; she knew that her being half snake was intimidating and they had warned her that she may scare her human male for a while before he grows used to it though she'd been taught to charm him and flaunt what was of her that was human. The men had said that few could resist the allure of a lamia's body though it appeared to her now that her potential husband didn't like her and she looked down at the floor for a moment before pulling a thin blanket off of the back of the other couch. She wrapped the fabric aorund herself, hiding her body from view though she knew that it would still pull taught over her breasts. Her skin was hidden from sight and she didn't tear the blanket as she picked up her plate and started eating, suddenly aware of how tasty the human's cooking was. She'd have to learn how to make this, since she had only been taught the finest of cuisine in prospect of going to a rich man.

After a few minutes, a now calm Lukas came back with his food. "Sorry for running off like that, I really hate letting it get cold." He almost paused when he noticed her expression and the wrapped blanket around her. He doubted that she was cold either. He probably caused that. He had always been awkward with girls, especially the ones that had massive sexual appeal like Lyna did. Should he apologize? Should he hint to her that was a nerd who crashed and burned when it came to real life ladies? He should probably say something to her so she didn't get the wrong idea. "Lyna...I don't know if you n-noticed but...I get flustered very easy and usually my general response is to run away before I do anything stupid. I hope you didn't take that response the wrong way..." He explained, a red blush coming over his face. "If you need me to make it up to you, I will in any way I can." He added as well.

The young woman hadn't looked up from where she was slowly munching away at the food he'd brought for her though the delicious tasting food went from card board to real food as he spoke to her again. At least he liked how she looked though it wouldn't do if he was always too afraid to look at her. Had he even decided if he was going to keep her? Best not to dwell on it for too long and as she looked up at him with emerald eyes, brown bangs falling over her face while the girl wondered what it was that he would want from her. "You don't have to be afraid to look at me." Lyna said to him, seemingly sweet and innocent as the end of her tail reached up to touch his leg hesitantly.

The more he thought about the whole thing, the more he wondered what she thought. He looked her in the eye when she spoke and nodded. "Alright. I'll try my best." He took a bite out of his portion of lasagna. "So...how do you feel about this whole situation? What with me not expecting you and kind of slamming the door in your face." He rubbed the back of his neck. Should he try to have a relationship with her and just take things slow? Maybe that would work. The doorbell rang for the 2nd time that day and he paused. It was here. He slowly set the food on the coffee table before sprinting to the door and almost bumping into the delivery man. "Package for a...Lukas Grabb?" "That's me!" He grinned, excitement radiating off of him. He signed and closed the door when he had the package. "It's finally here!!!" He exclaimed.

The young woman hadn't been expecting him to ask her what she had been thinking though he looked worried, at the very least, for his well being or hers, she did not know. "I had expected you to know I was coming, though it would't be the first time a girl was sent as a surprise gift from a friend." She answered his question, just before the doorbell rang and he ran off to see who it was, clearly excited for something. Perhaps it was what he had been waiting for when she had arrived here earlier this morning. She slid off of the couch quietly, leaving her plate behind and following him out toward the foyer where she peered around the corner and looked at him curiously, the blanket draped around her shoulders but not wrapped as tightly as it had been before. "What is it?"

He opened the box as fast as he could. He held the games close and was shaking he was so happy. He looked over at her when she asked what he was holding. "This is a video game set that I have been waiting about a month for. And it's finally here in my arms~." He sighed dreamily. "I have suffered long and hard and now it's finally paid off." Lukas walked over to her. "This is actually what I thought you were when you came earlier today." The human joked lightly.

"Oh." Lyna looked at him from around the corner, one hand wrapped around the trim while the other had settled on the wall where he couldn't see it. She was a little disappointed to hear that, since she had been hoping he would have been excited to see her - from her experience with men (which was very little) men loved to look at and wanted the exotic beauty of the lamia. "It's good it came in then." The emerald eyed girl smiled at him quietly and tried to look happy as she could so she would be able to please him.

Lukas set the box down and went to her. "But how is it going with the phone?" He felt her grow a little uncomfortable. "I'll play the game later after we spend some time together." He mustered up a smile for her. "Would you like to...um, try this relationship out? Or just be friends? You'll set the pace of this." He looked her in the eye, hoping she would get just how serious he was intending to be, should she choose him to be.
