Zhang looked over his workshop's window with a mix of great conercn and shock, a touch of confusion garnishing his thoughts. Seconds ago, everything was normal down there, people were walking about, shopping bags in hand, off to buy whatever they wanted as he tinkered with an old plasma cutter. Next thing he knew, blood splattered the floor with entrails and body parts thrown about like toys as... things... dashed out of vents and hallways, cutting down the shocked shoppers where they stood.

"Mark, you seeing this? What the hell is going on down there?" Zhang tried to contact on of his work buddies that lived nearby, Mark was well connected an probably would know what was going, if he responded, "Mark. Mark! Respond! Can you hear me Mark?"

As the engineer fumbled to try and raise Mark, an unnerving banging sounds dropped from the rooms air vent as he fearfully turned his head to meet the sound. Time seemed to slow as he stopped what he was doing and instinctively reached for the first weapon he could find, his hammer. Breath fogging the air, he waited as the sound finally stopped. He sighed as he lowered his hammer, breathing fresh relief into his lungs.

"That wasn't so ba- ARHGHAHRA!" Zhang screamed as the vent suddenly burst open, revealing a fleshy monstrosity with huge blade-like arms. He held back the urge to vomit as he saw what looked like to be human arms meshed into its abdomen and various internal organs now seeing the light of day as it charged at him. With just enough time to dive out of the way, he held his hammer like a Native American warrior with a tomahawk, his stance low as the monster seemed to only get more repulsive with each passing second. His adrenaline rising fast, he tried to stare down the thing, only to throw up a little bit in his mouth.

"C'mon you bastard!" He spat out his bile on to the floor as it charged him again, yelling in pain as it grazed his arm as he once again tried to dodge. Bring down his hammer hard, he pounded its head with the blunt metal as its once-human(?) jaw dropped down, revealing another disgusting mess of tendrils. With the Stasis Module of his Hazard Engineer RIG, he forced the beast to slow, Zhang disgusted at face it had as he backed off and slammed his hammer down hard enough to bring it to the ground. With that, he quickly jumped up and stomped the monster. He stomped its head, its arms, its other arms, and its peg legs as he finally lost it and threw up over his window as the thing now laid in a bloodied mess of guts and rotting flesh, the shops below him now in complete terror and disarray as so of the more unlucky ones had their heads bit off or ripped in half.

Hearing more sounds from the vent, he grabbed his nail gun and bolted for the exit, another monster already sprint at him. He blindly fired at it as he reached for the door. Half diving, half stumbling out of it, he face the thing, not less horrifying than the last and fired straight at it, hoping that industrial rivets would kill it. When he saw the sword-armed monster only stumble from his rivets, he panicked and shut the door, shooting the controls to permanently lock it for good.

Catching his breath, the hall wasn't any better; easily worse if anything compared to his room. Dashing over to a pair of security guards as Director Tiedemann's voice crackled over the speakers, he yelled over the violence and noise while shooting a few rivets in the same general direction as the others with guns were, "What the hell is going? What are those things?."

Corporal Veikkaus had been maneuvering through a crowd of unease. The air felt different on the space station, but that was the least of his concerns. It felt like just yesterday the incident with his parents disappearance had occurred, but it wasn't. It was just a week ago that everything felt normal. Something had just hit him, like a sudden shock wave that rushed over Veikkaus and made him feel hot flashes. He stopped for a moment, leaning against the wall with a firm grasp going against the metallic surface of his Pulse Rifle. How did he get here? Oh right, he was laid off the investigation deemed "useless", now made to patrol the station and go back to the grayness of what it had been before.

For a moment all was silent, but then out of the blue the sector he was in began to rock. Violently it shook for a moment, yet the impact sounded so far off. His head shook and for a moment he cracked a smile under that thick helmet of his. A cool grin crept along his mouth, oddly enough, he didn't know why. Following this was a sound; muffled and inaudible.

"Hflmvvp"

A little louder..

"HELP!" Suddenly there was a fully fledged panic, and Veikkaus knew for sure something was wrong this time. Through the crowd he pushed his way into a door frame and burst out the other end to witness nothing more than a sea panic. A few stragglers left in the room were already out, and a fluid painted the walls in the particularly messy corner. Veikkaus squinted his eyes, getting a closer look to find it was blood, but more than that. It was a feast. A creature that could only be sent from the depths of hell was kneels over, a humanoid of such horrific bones that were reshaped, jutting out from the back at science fiction angles. Glass was heard smashing in the distance, various thumps that would shake the ground. This is where things really began to hear up. The Corporal reached down to his radio in attempts to reach a signal with any other Security Personnel in the general area. Through a series of beeps and buzzes, he began.

"This is Corporal Veikkaus, does anyone read? Over." There was a short pause, and that thing started to turn around.

Well that didn't god damn work.. He thought, and chuckled slightly. His humor always seemed to play in at the worst of times. This indescribable beast looked at him, and Veikkaus looked back. A blood stained humanoid figure with a scythe interjecting its flesh where an arm once used to be looked at him with a piercing stare that made his head pound. What..- Just within a seconds reaction, his primal instinct kicked in, and Veikkaus lifted his Triple-Barreled Pulse Rifle. Its plating reflected off the horror of the room, gleaming in what light there still was as a volley of rounds were spat out the end of the rifle. This was always a great feeling for Byron. His attachment for the gun was such an intense feeling it couldn't be described. A barrage of quickly speeding projectiles riddled the torso of the necromorph, causing it to stumble rather oddly and eventually fall backwards like most humans would do. But this thing was wasn't one of us at all. To his surprise, it got back up again as if it was totally unfazed. Now this Swiss cheese blood thirsty maniac charged him, and the short distance was too quick for Veikkaus to react when he was hit, and sent flying to the ground. His body rocked inside his suit, though did absorb more damage than what was dealt to him. Only seconds later he found himself almost impaled by the mutant itself. His predator stood above him and swung down harshly with the scythe hand as Veikkaus brought up his Pulse Rifle and managed to narrowly block the attack. Though he was in great fear, his instinct was fight and he twisted the necromorphs limb to the ground while simultaneously bringing up his boot into the center of its figure, knocking it back, and causing its flesh to tear, nearly where its limb fell off.

I have to get rid of that. A voice kept ringing in the back of his mind. That must be it. From the floor he took aim along the greatly damaged joint of the mutated being. A short burst ran past the handing flesh and ripped the scythe hand off the necromorph. Then another short burst, and the other limb fell. Veikkaus took out the legs of this mutation and finally reloaded to find a gruesome hodge-podge of guts smeared along the ground and walls. For a moment he stopped and looked around before bolting upwards into a standing position. At once he headed for the nearest door to his right, and ran through to the other side.

The hallway was torn, smashed, quite brutal and ripped apart. Something had just come through here, something was here. It had just occurred to Byron that there were others fighting in the distance. It was all over the Space Station, not just in one sector. All life as he knew it up here could be eliminated. He smiled again; the idea in theory was pretty kick ass, eerie as it was right now. Veikkaus attempted to use the radio again.

"Hello?" There was no time for formalities. To his dismay, something did come back in return, but it wasn't from the radio. Out drops another shifted creature from the vents, emitting a clicking sound after its skinny figure hits the ground. Its jaw hung low, revealing something of a dark void. It ejected bile from its gaping orifice, and Byron ducked to avoid it. From behind him he could hear the acidic fluid melting down the walls surface. He didn't have time for this. It seemed anything would have been better than this, but he charged for it standing in front of him. It came to swipe at him, an almost for sure decapitation method, but at the last second, Veikkaus tucked and rolled under the arm, to the other end of the short hallway where he broke through the next door into the shopping area and shut it quickly behind him. It was locked and only a matter of time would go by before it would begin melting through the door. For this reason, he turned around and took a step forward, shouldering the rifle as he did. He stopped for a moment to recollect his thoughts as a few questionable characters stood around him. Who would save us now?

Life was not kind to Daniel Shepherd much these days. Sure, he could have had it worse, but that didn't make current things better. Money was certainly tight, and he was working himself day and night to make ends meet. He had stayed up much of last night working and woke up early in the morning to go back to doing much of the same, and it was taking a toll on his body. He held his head as his migraine refused to relieve itself and gritted his teeth. His skull felt like splitting in half, and at this point he felt he would welcome such a prospect with open arms. Despite all of that, none could say he wasn't a vigilant worker and he made his way through it, no matter what damage it would do to his already damaged body.

In the distance there seemed to be commotion starting up, muffled but clearly excited in an odd way. He made his way in the direction of the commotion, if only to see what the hell was the new cause of annoyance around here. He rubbed at his aching head as he made his way down he halls and it got louder. Soon, a person or two ran past him, than came more and more. What the hell was going on here? He cautiously slowed down until he saw what may very well have been the most disgusting thing he had ever seen. It had odd blade arms and pasty rotted skin that made his gag reflex seem to want to work overtime. It was coated in blood, entrails, and any other indiscriminant piece of human that it had managed to tear off and dive into. Guess everyone's got to eat sometime, huh? You're not you when you're hungry. Daniel thought somewhat morbidly to himself. Before he had time to question why that had come to mind, his instinct to avoid the creature kicked in. He back pedaled away and sprinted off. With no armor or weapons to speak of, he was a sitting duck.

Apparently, none had been spared in this. He sprinted full force down the hall as he could hear the damn thing behind him following as well. The fear of not knowing quite where it was was eating away at his already aching mind. His head pounded painfully with every heavy step he took. He grit his teeth and figured he would get over it, not was not the time to worry about trivial things such as that. It was in this moment of grief and distraction that he made a mistake. He didn't watch his footing and his boot soon found a place in a pool of blood that wasn't so generous in providing traction. His foot slipped and he was sent sprawling onto the ground. He went to crawl forwards and regain footing, but soon fell onto his face yet again. He winced as his head felt none better for the incident, but that was wiped from his mind as he heard a noise behind him. He rolled to the right and a scythed arm crashed down into the floor beside him. He was now far closer to the horrible creature he had seen earlier. The face was horrible, with a jaw that seemed to mix a humans and a spiders, but mostly just made him want to lose his lunch. The eyes had a blank stare to them, not seeming to really focus on him, despite the head being turned to face him. It reminded him of a fever dream, or some stereotypical children's nightmare. It was certainly enough to make him want to curl up in bed with his parents again.

Daniel scrambled backwards as its blade was momentarily stuck and pushed himself up. He got to his feet and took off again, looking for any destination that seemed more desirable than littered corpses, if one existed. With a bit of luck, he spotted a couple of what appeared to be Security Personnel and perhaps an engineer? They all seemed far more well equipped to fight than Daniel was. As a result, Daniel took off running into the direction of them, not thinking what drawing the creature in tow of them might do. His breath quickened alongside his pace as his feet swiftly carried him to his planned destination.

"Shit, shit, SHIT!" He called out as he ran there, not knowing where the grotesque creature was at this point, but remained terrified of it none the less as he ran to avoid it and make it to safety. He attempted to stop, but the blood on the bottom of his shoe caused him to slide slightly into a wall with a soft noise. "If you guys could help, I would appreciate it a lot."

Taylor was extremely stressed out,and maybe it was her fault. The security job wasn't hard to get into. Of course she would need a little more training for the things her father couldn't get into, but it was her ex-friends, her co-workers, that she was supposed to impress. They said 'oh it's old Taylors girl, a chip off the old block!' and when she fell short it was obvious they were displeased. It might have been the sole reason she opted in to transfer to shopping patrol. Babysitting the kids, the others called it. But at least it wasn't some desk job or door guard. She was off her a-game today, probably getting sick from the stress, still trying to hold it together.

It was then her attention was taken away from her stress, somewhat waking her up from her daze. The lights flickered and there was like... some loud scurrying sound...but it was coming from all around. The ceiling, floor and walls. Just then, the main lighting cut out in the hallway, still lit from the shopping places and outside, and the moment where Taylor didn't feel safe anymore. There was a scream and Taylor jerked up, looking in the way of the scream. Before she could aim her weapon or realize what the other shoppers were doing, it all changed in that second. They were everywhere. Behind her, in front of her, above her. They were killing everyone, and before Taylor could open fire one had attempted to drop down on her. She rolled back with the best of her reflexes, hitting the wall where the window is. Not worrying about if she hurt herself, her adrenaline forced her into overdrive and activated her fight motive. She opened fire, continuously pulling the trigger to release shot after shot of her rifle. Everyone was dying, or ripped a part, all that was standing were those... things! And she had to kill them before they all came after her!

"HEY this is Sergeant Taylor someone respond NOW I need back up to my location, Shopping District!!" She kept firing and they kept coming, she thought she'd run out of ammo eventually until she saw an Engineer burst from the workshop nearby, realizing they were under attack, but the Engineer killed it with their tool. 'What the hell is going on!?' "I-" before she could speak up another Security personnel came through the main door and locked it. They looked totally out of it and not realizing the situation. "HEY WAKE UP!" She yelled, and started firing again, there were so many, but it seems like they weren't coming out of nowhere in droves anymore... maybe they can be defeated? At least here?

Just then a civilian came out, being chased by one of the creatures and she aimed her weapon, "Security open fire!" she yelled, hoping to get the other persons attention as she tried to get precise shots off, not hitting the civilian, and make sure to kill whatever it is, fast.

Zhang stasis'd one of the things that got too close to him, attempting to kick it only for it to latch on to his boot. Adrenaline rushing to his head, he wildly shook his foot foot as it crawled up his leg. Finally he whacked his foot against the ground hard, causing the thing to weaken its grasp, a few more rounds of this and it laid motionless on the ground (hopefully).

Picking himself up, he realized how badly the situation was getting, tapping the security officer's armor, he turned to her, "I have a suspicion that this place isn't going to last. Shouldn't we try to get to the escape pods?"

Soon after saying that he stood up and tried to shoot at the thing rushing in. He though he got at least a few hits in but due to a combination of their speed, the confusion and the inexplicable will to not die, he wasn't sure how much good he was doing. Reloading the rivet gun, he turned to the officer, in theory she had the greatest power over everyone here.
