Lapis's trail of bubbles as she took off to Homeworld used to be my favourite piece of animation in the series. Now it's this.
God I loved the artstyle for this episode so much, the contrast between Earth and the Sky Arena just...Oh wow I loved it.
And that (presumably) Pearl that belonged to Blue Diamond? I swear there's something important about her since she was drawn in detail, and I just can't wait to find out what. Any ideas? Lots of theories floating around.
I also love how Pearl was feared, that...That was amazing to me, honestly.

I have to say that them dancing was just beautiful. It was so romantic and just the scenery was fantastic. I loved the change in styles from Sky Arena to Earth and the way everything was laid out. I loved that we got a sneak peek at Blue Diamond but don't really know too much about her still. I believe her Pearl is drawn in detail because we will see that Pearl again before we ever see Blue Diamond. That is just my guess or that that Pearl will link in with one of their past somehow.

I'm not big on romance but dear god that scene was just awesome. Animation and art was gorgeous. Love love love it. And the humming of 'Stronger than You'? Good stuff.
I'm always a sucker for learning about gem history and actually getting to see it was great. And Blue Pearl, as everyone's calling her, is gonna keep me on end forever. Also along with being very mysterious and speculation provoking, she was really pretty and damn that's kind of a weird thing but I love her design a lot and when I feel like drawing I'll probably draw her.

She's a Pearl, and she's just witnessed a renegade of her kind and fate being completely warped by Ruby's actions. There's something awfully sad about her prior to these events. Would she be envious? Or would she show disdain? Could she try to change her fate in the future? Who knows what's up with her.

The blue pearl had a very sad appearance about her. That she didn't want to be where she was but understood and respected the position assigned to her. It will all be up to her choice on what happens from here if she ever comes into play. Maybe our Pearl can show Blue Pearl that she can be so much more. It is hard to say. I love her look and it makes me want to know more. I also love that we got to see more of Home Worlds stance on fusion as well as seeing the fusion between the same kind of Gem. I also love that we now know that even if they are the same kind of type, the Gem is placed on different parts still.
I also like the fact they they said some are rare and not really copied very often.
Sapphire is rare and not copied. Where as Ruby has many of her (almost typed him >.< trying to break that habit)

Something else intriguing is the fact that not all multiples of gems seem to share appearances. For example, the two pearls look vastly different, as do the diamonds. And we're told Amethyst is quite the runt. And we have seen that gems can alter their appearance upon reforming; perhaps this unity of appearance is another part of homeworld culture, pushing on the idea that certain gems are all the same and thus disposable.

And if rubies were so disposable simply because there were many...Imagine a gem like Talc or Soapstone, or heck, even Eve if you ignore the fact evenkite is rare. Oh my god. I feel kinda sick thinking about it.

I often thought Home Worlds views were like this where some were the same and disposable where others were not. If you listen to Peridot when talking to Pearl. It sounds like everyone has a servant Pearl but depending on how different or pretty they are is depending on your class. The Pearl looks good to show the owner looks good. All the others sound like they are the same.
It is kind of messed up and kind of makes sense all at the same time :/ makes me sad on how they would view Evenkites, Soapstones, and Talcs.
