I love the Pokemon games conceptually but I've never been grabbed by one since Yellow, really. Any time I play them now I put in a handful of hours and then fall off. Something about the pacing of the game doesn't vibe with me, although maybe it'd be better if I just mainlined everything instead of getting distracted. I think in the last one I played half of my time was wasted on feeding my starter cupcakes and touching his face so that he'd like me more.

...how's the fashion?

@AtrophyIt's okay, mostly tropical given the setting. The thing is, this game has an actually decent story, with character development(not you, of course, but those around you) and over all I think the games pretty fun for fans of the game both new and old. Also, they replaced the cupcakes with Beans.

In sheer horror I realized that Christmas is a thing and right around the corner.

So, uh. Gonna work on ramming this first arc through, so we won't be blindsided by the holidays and actually have the perfect time for a small break for me to prepare for the second arc, and figure out how I want to set it up. Going back and forth between starting a new thread or just keeping this one, and updating the title as we go along.

Why not keep this thread and start up a recruitment thread instead? Only because its going to turn into a hassle down the line for the other acrs as well as potential new people going through various threads to find out backstory and all that jazz.

@PetiteAmbivertThe plan is, no matter what, is to give as complete of a summary as I can for the previous parts of the story when we begin a new arc, so that people don't have to read back. If we kept it to one thread I'd provide page numbers for the beginning of each arc, and if we do a new thread for each arc it would just contain links to the previous threads, if people want to read all we've done. I just don't know what would be better for others, multiple threads of 200 or so (just using what we've got now for an example) posts or one thread that starts at 200, then reaches 400, etc.

Edit: To be fair, I should fully disclose that I am leaning towards keeping it in one thread, but that's just to lazily fulfill my own ego I think, because I want to see how long it is by the time we're done without having to add. So, that's why I'm trying to lean away from it without input from others.

@The Darklight ProjectI'd say go with a new thread and have this old one linked to it. This one's near a thousand posts, so it'd be pretty daunting for new bloods who just clicked on a recruitment thread to join in. Likewise, I think having the arcs broken into different ICs would make it a lot easier for us to navigate. I don't know about the rest of you, but I often go back through the RP to freshen up on what's happened or to look up something someone said earlier. It'd get cumbersome the longer we play.

Also, I figure we should all update our character sheets come the new arc?
