Solomon could not help but feel that the principle did not act like a principle. He acted quite immature in fact, and did not count as an authority figure. If he was the pointy-haired boss, the vice-principle was constantly heckled but more competent enforcer. There was, however, the possibility that he was more incompetent. He remained quiet. No one had spoken to him, unlike in the other times.

Fenris looked over at the principle as he lead a group of students towards himself and Imarir. Calling them 'Summons McGee and Ice Wolf', that made Fenris cringe a bit. He tried to not show others his wolf form. It was like a privacy thing, like changing forms in front of others was like getting naked... So naturally, unless he told anyone himself, no one really knew he was a shifter. Which is just another reason why he preferred to be alone.

"Just out here doing some lessons, sir," Fenris said in quick response to the principal's question. Shortly before FM started conversations with a couple of the other students. One of which ended in him blowing a whistle so loud Fenris had to cover his ears. The sound was like fire shooting through his head and he had to close his eyes against the pain. When the principal finally stopped whistling it took a few moments before Fenris could open his eyes and uncover his ears again. He looked around at everyone else who seemed to not even notice that there had been a whistle at all. Then it hit him, FM had whistled at a pitch that only Fenris could hear. His eyes narrowed at the principal.

Fenris waited patiently though while FM finished his conversation with another student, and when they were done he opened his mouth to say something. Unfortunately it was at that time that the Vice Principal decided to show up. Fenris just closed his mouth and had a look like a dog who had just lowered his ears.

With the showing of the principal and the new transfer students, Imarir took his attention away from Fenris and hear the principal call out HM? Hey there FM how are ya!? And...well sorry but I was a little caught up this morning and met this ice mage. You know how I get when something piques my interests. scanning through the crowd, he caught sight of a boy who made two copies of himself while he started at Imarir Looks like someones ready for some action this morning. smiling at the man while talking was going on with the other students. When the vice principal showed up, Imarir shot his eyes over to him yo John....wait you came to school today? Anyways...what are you guys going to start on this morning?

"EVERYONE TO THE THUNDER DOME!" FM turns and walks away,"Why is it called the thunder dome? Well because all of our electricity based students practice there, and it's also the place where we field test new recruits in fighting monsters. Don't worry John will be there to make sure you don't die."

John walks past the group and motions them to follow him."Come on mates, lets go field test the newbies." He brings them to a gigantic arena that looks like the roman coliseum but is ten times the size."This is the Thunder Dome. And yet there isn't an actually dome on it. So lets go inside at test out your abilities. But not you Fenris or Imarir, you don't have to join in if you don't want to."

With a few quick words they were off to the "THUNDER DOME!" to test themselves. Fenris followed the group, staying towards the back so others would be less included to talk to him. He was a little edgy about going to place where lightning wizards trained as he thought that his ice would only make him get zapped. Though he was also sure he could find a way around that if he had to.

It wasn't long until they reached the "THUNDER DOME!" and Fenris was actually quite amazed by the sheer size of the place. Living in the woods most of his life he had never really seen big buildings, and even though he's been at the school for years now he still gets amazed by big buildings. Though he'd still rather be in the woods.

Then they were off again, following John this time into the "THUNDER DOME!". "Doesn't bother me. I think it'd be nice to let loose for once instead of all this 'learn to control' stuff you guys have had me doing for the past month..." Fenris said in reply to John saying he didn't have to join them if he didn't want to. Remembering how easy it is to fight with ice, but how hard it is not to freeze things unintentionally.

Hearing that they were going to the Thunder Dome, it made Imarir smile since it brought back memories when he went through his training and actually challenged one of the electricity based students which...nearly at the time, got him killed but it gave him the real experience that he needed to grow.

Walking near the front with the group, they made it to the place and smiled upon seeing it. Folding his arms he looked over at the mention of him not needing to join in Well I will watch for now but....if I get the motivation or am called in to join the fun, I wouldn't mind pulling a couple summoned creatures out to show off my abilities. he smiled as he walked over to the side with his hands in hs pocket.

He steps back from the doom and looks at FM saying. "Well ill just sit back here because fist off my magic is all about Illusions." Looks to the Thunder doom and adds "i'm not much of a fighter, I get others to do that for me" He did not look happy about the situation he is.

This structure Solomon was going to now was superbly gigantic. He had never seen a coliseum of such size. Not even during the reign of the 19th dynasty, when the emperors were vain, had such a structure been built. He followed FM from behind, and looked at this incredulous, gigantic structure.

"Principal FM, I never fought in my life and have no idea how to fight. I am a pacifist and plan on never fighting anyone. I want to be a healer." Avalon protested.
"And why is Fenris or Imarir allowed not to test out? I do not think that is fair to allow some not to test out. Everyone should test out in everything even if they are good in whatever testing. It will demonstrate to those of us who do not fight how fighting is done."

She could now see that she will be going head to head to Principal FM. And she was very determined to find out the why of everything that was presented to her. Not because she was contrary but because she needed the reason behind things.

@Aisling"Hey dude FM aint here man. He like left and what not, but they don't have to test cause they took the test last year." John turns Avalon."So like calm yourself, but if you can heal then do that and keep the others fighting man. That way you can be a pacifist and still help."

"Thank you for telling me that, John. I now understand about Fenris or Imarir not needing the testing. I can do a few things and will do what I can to keep everyone as healthy as possible. Is there any meds around? Bandages or any kind of potions? I need something to work with if I am to heal anyone." She looked around the area for any kind of a medical spot for her to work at.

After hearing the concerns some of the transfers had and yet, hearing his name called, Imarir before getting settled, turned back around, listening to the words of the other students. Imarir thought for a moment and gave a smile. He did say if he had the motivation or was called, he'd join even though it's not mandatory for him to take the test again. He just wanted to be a little help to the group and get their spirits up.

Turning and walking back towards them, he started off with the guy who claimed to use illusions. Hey there....the guy with the illusions. listen, I know you feel that illusions may not be good for combat purposes but every magic out there are useful for something if utilized correctly. You have illusions right? It's basically used for deception and in combat, you always have to keep your opponent guessing. It may not cause collateral damage or anything but I believe you can still survive a fight using it. You just gotta get creative an use a bit of imagination. You're a mind rapist man...use it to your benefit. He said smiling

He then brought his attention to the girl that spoke his name You...pretty girl with the pointy ears. Sorry I don't know your name but... I'm glad you have a better understanding why we don't have to take the test and your purpose. I'm not a healer and know nothing about it so I have no idea where the medical stuff is. But how about this, I'll join in to assist you guys and get some exercise. And as a healer, our lives are in your hands and same with us protecting you. You may not fight but you're right there on that field with us. You'll still be graded but according to what you specialize magically and how you work in action. How does that sound? he asked smiling

@Aisling"Dude like there will be some stuff in the arena when we get there so just like chill and stuff." John walks over to one of the entrances and leans against a pillar."Also there will be some protective gear in case you want it."

Avalon smiled at Imarir as she spoke
"I am not sure if you are Fenris or Imarir but thank you for at least boosting up my moral and respect for you. My name is Avalon. I have a family recipe book and it has some odd things such as skunk bombs and sleeper bombs. I just have not tried any of those yet. I do hope t one day be able to make them.

John, please quit calling me a dude.... It makes feel like you don't know the difference between males and females. Maybe you could at least call me a dudette?" Avalon protested weakly.

@Aisling"Nah man this is just how I speak dude. I call everyone the same thing, mostly cause I smoke weed on the weekends but hey what do I care." John walks through the doorway."Y'all should probably follow me to get your equipment."

"No wonder he is so wacky...... wonder what kind of stuff I will get to work with." Avalon spoke under her breath and t no one in particular. She did follow John into the arena since she needed to figure out what she had and did not have.

After the retort Avalon gave, Imarir grinned a little harder. The name's Imarir....summoner extraordinaire. and you're welcome. Not a problem at all. That's what comrades are for...boosting each other up. he said almost wanting to blush. Skunk bombs and sleeper bombs huh? well...if you don't mind, I'd like to see you make them. he added. John was leading the others to get their equipment while Imarir followed along and waited until the test was to start. He was going to figure out who he would team with in this test. Didn't matter who he was going to work with since he's not being graded for it but it would be nice to check the potential of the transfers first hand in a life like situation and how they react.

"There is a rather a lot of small problems. The book has been recopied with inferior paper and ink, which means that there are holes in the pages
and some of the ink is faded out in a few areas. The binding was taken off for resale since it was said to be gold inlaid with jewels encrusted. All I have left are the pages that my mother had left. There are a number of books that belong to her that I have not read. I am after recipes for healing- not diary entries." Avalon explained in her own way.
"I have recopied what I could read and am now deciphering what I can't read."

With the explanation with the problems Avalon faced, Imarir tried to think for a moment of what could help her. Hmm...have you asked your mother about the part that you cannot read or asked if another healer could help decipher the rest? he asked her curiously

"I guess that mother would have taught me those recipes as she did the ones she did teach me. But I was it was decided that I should come here instead of learning my parents ways. I fear that they died after I left. died of a broken heart...... They feared formal schooling for some reason. But maybe they live still." Avalon spoke softly as she gazed about.
"I guess I will find out one day. Now let's see what is in here......" Avalon spoke to change the subject. She would not admit it but in some ways she was just as superstitious as any other person from her village.
