@Absolis I think you can post, the universe where Cyano is from doesn't seem any worse than the universes already accepted and Conablum labs are likely not at the same tier as Ethereal labs (or are on par) which were accepted.

In terms of genetics and robotics and weapon development they are far more advanced then the ethereals. But the ethereals have better multiversal travel and can connect their minions to a hive mind. So that does out them on pad actually.

@Absolis Upon re-reading Conablum Labs I wouldn't argue regarding robotics, but how are they superior in genetics? I mean Meld kind of sets the standard very high along with their many spliced species they mass produce as weapons.

For one they can actually make a human (looking at you thin men)

For two, they have live genetic restructuring mastered. Which I don't believe that the ethereals have. Tthough the bureau does make me wonder whether they have it or not.

Pretty sure they can create humans with human DNA .w. They have cloning mastered. Grab human, clone it, voila. They didn't do it in Xcom 1 for reasons. They have them everywhere in XCOM 2 though. Guess they wanted EXALT to be the only human characters during the campaign.

Gene mods? Pretty sure Gene mods do just that. I won't take the Bureau as reference, sticking to the EU and probably XCOM 2 when it comes out.
