@Guilty Spark well in my mind all the brown in the north (basically whats inside wild territory) is high plains, so that area is a big sea of grasslands. These things would probably lumber around there to make sure no one is trying to sneak into the territory.

It's super crude, but hey I read maps not make them for my living. Also anyone who wants to fudge the lines a bit is welcome to if they want to make it nicer of had some overlap. The white is basically the tundra line all of it north being snow and ice and well tundra. Light green is modern wilds territory. Dark green is the original kinglessland. The gray circle is the are where I'll be putting Haven Grove and most of the major settlements.

@jasonwolf Tundra? the ice is to the right man, north of the maps looks to be more arid plains. You see the white of ice going down the whole right side of the map right?'

It may not make geographic sense, but if we're going to ignore the map we might as well not have one.

@Guilty SparkI assumed that was just a mountain range and that's why it has snow. I'm not ignoring the map. I'm simply adding a detail that makes sense and fits with the part I've been working on. This has been in my character submission from the start that the north would be icy tundra, and if that got approved I don't see why I can't mark that icy tundra. If I have to put it as off the map fine, but this was my current thoughts on it.

@jasonwolf Alright, but the snow on the left is clearly not confined to the mountains, it stretches well beyond them indicating that it's some sort of snow-covered lowland, and none of the other mountains on the map have a similar indication of snow at all.

@jasonwolf: But it's also been the consensus that the north is full of desert land. Dragons roam in very small numbers the northeastern mountain ranges, and the Plains of Dust occupy the entire flat, sandy expanse stretching from the top of the map into the middle of it. I'll correct you and say that the northern part of the map is not icy tundra, but the eastern part including the mountains and beyond are tundra.

Also, nobody should get the notion that a character's status as accepted is the same thing as being off the hook. If other players take clear issue with something or there is dispute over something in a character sheet, that character sheet is not immune to correction just because it was accepted. Characters are open game for critique and corrections, as I've said in the past.

@ravenDivinity Alright so this'll take some working with then. Originally I had the Kinglessland (the colony sort of area Mark grew up in) in the NE. I've also made numerous references to the sourthern kingdoms which I hope to keep (putting the Wilds more north than most groups. Bit of norse/celtic influence going on here)

I can work with just the north west corner though I liked the concept of it being almost always winter in the kingless land, so thats why I had it on the east by the snow.

Edit: can i at least have the classic dire wolf, boar, and bear? Not too out there but fantastic and dangerous.

@Dawnscroll: Like I said before, I was going to read your post and write your response after I replied to everyone else. That's literally starting now.

Considering THIS was the last post I got from you regarding a response, I've been patiently waiting. There's been no further mention, no PM, no ANY THING past that message regarding me to move along.

I'm curious did anyone see this coming with Mark? Cause I knew this would happen as soon as the elder said they were allied with the southern kingdoms.

SO! Hey guys, I'm writing my post right now, and coming upon the decision of where exactly I'm going. Is there anyone near me right now? Here's my current location

I'm currently in the middle of a frozen ocean, but heading for land. So I need to know if there's any settlements that people are currently near along the southern coast.

It seems to me like that area shouldn't be frozen at all.

@DeltaV agreed not even an iceberg would get there. unless currents are reversed from our world. in which case ice could have been pulled by the east west current to make the ocean spotted with icebergs at best.

the whole world is freezing over. That's part of the current lore. And it's also not a natural cold. It's because of the Starless Night.

Edit: The Starless Night, the death of the gods, the loss of the flames, the freezing world. It affects different places more potently than others. The storm Daen is currently in, which for convenience sake, is called the Everstorm because it never goes away. Isn't natural at all. It's magically constructed.
