Satilla Valen

Location: The Tower, Floor 1 -> Outside the tower.
Interacting With: Ancient cosmic powers of the load bearing boss cliche and the sturdy floor... and Thomas!

The world felt like it was crumbling down around her as she tried to move. Hell this was not how she wanted to go, but under the adrenaline and the threat of death you didn't really have much chance to think about anything complex while attempting to flee for your life. She managed to get some distance as she walked, but the tower finally looked like it was giving up because it started really crumbling down.

At first the witch thought this was going to be her grave. She didn't want it to be, but it wasn't too bad, she mused. She did some good managed to defy her upbrining so that was good, then something else happened. She was hit by some kind of shockwave or something as the back walls crumbled first. The force of it knocked her off her feet and she slit towards the exit. Now this was not something she ever expected to happen and all things considered she was grateful for it. Then she hit something and said somethign turned out to be a very poorly located Thomas who got knocked down and fell on her and she then hit Keystone, who stood like a mountain there." Aghhh... I'm out...!" She mumbled in a painful groan, trying to get up, but not really able to move at all since there was somethign heavy on her and her body was screaming from the impact.

She was in a very uncomfortable position at the end of it, but at least it was only a thin Thomas on top of her and not Keystone. Granted she was covered in puke and everything, but that was mild concern when it got to the overall situation of the area with the tower coming down. That said they were still not out of dodge as she realized a stone could very well crush them all down into pancakes.

Cyne

Location: Outside the Tower
Interacting with:N/A

Having just barely avoided the castle wall trying to kill her, perhaps it was a rather poor idea for Cyne to stick around right where she was. But damn it, she had decided to stay and see what would become of Keystone, Thomas and Satilla, and she was going to see it through. Even if she couldn't actually well see the other two behind the big, burly figure of the cook/monk/whatever else he was. It was then that she noticed the remained structure of the tower begin to collapse on itself.

The gust of wind the came from the event was far more powerful than she would have expected, and the resulting spray of dirt, flecks of stone, snow and shrubbery were enough to make her instinctively shield her face and eyes with her arm. It was only after she felt the wind settle that she lowered her arm to see the final result of the last several days. She blinked three times before she truly worked through what she'd seen. They'd all made it out. The healer had only just gotten out by the skin of her teeth and they were all covered in disgusting bodily fluid, but they were no worse for wear than at the end of the battle. At least, that was the case as far as she could tell. She dearly hoped it was.

It's The Final Update

Finally the last living person was out of the tower and it wasn't a moment too soon. In fact hadn't the healer slid out of the building as if she was steeling home base she might have needed a necromancer of her own. Hundreds of tons of stone was now piled up on the ground and the dust cloud that kicked up from it collapsing on itself would billow up and around the little hamlet for weeks to come.

The necromancer was dead, this meant that there would be no more undead roaming the area. This was a good thing. Why he had been there in the first place though, that question was still unanswered. Why had he been there? Why had he kept that one person alive? Why cause the strife between the humans and the orcs? What was his name? Who was he? How was he able to bring so many back to life so quickly? How could he control them over such large distances? So many questions left unanswered.

Yet that was how it was sometimes. Some questions just were never answered. The main thing was making the town safe again, stopping the conflict between the orcs and the humans. That was done. They could rebuild now that they didn't have to worry about a necromancer. It was only one worry in hard times off the table but it was a large one. It was the most important. At least that is what the gypsy told herself. She knew much of the time the bigger picture was more important and that a single necromancer dying didn't mean that was the biggest piece to this puzzle.

Clearing the tower away would takes weeks, if not months. Would it ever be fully cleared away or would it just be left there? Picking from the rubble as stone was needed or more likely than not, left and avoided. Fear of cursed and tainted places could last for generations to come and even then perhaps that wouldn't dwindle. Who knew what facts would be turned into myths over the years. And what facts did they really have? Not much.

That didn't matter to the town though, not right then. They were happy once they found out what was going on. They didn't have much because of the constant war between the orcs but as the dust settled, metaphorically speaking, certain rewards were found. Not only from the village but from the Orcs as well. The Orcs had more treasure wise than the town could ever have. Generations on generations of warring tribes taking everything they could added up. Much of it they never used or wanted even, they just hoarded it and kept it deep within their caves.

How long each member of the group remains in the town is up to you. They all stay a minimal of two weeks before setting out. One must get paid. Payment comes two weeks after the tower falls. It takes that much time to inform the town and the orcs what happened, what they know, and to gather rewards for the work they did.

Patching up, getting equipment mended or honed, and the like is also needed. So downtime was a must before leaving. Does the group stay together or not? Who knows. That would be another story. Ours has drawn to an end and what an adventure it has been.
