Shiranui addressed the museum's curator. "What could they have been after here?" he asked.

A man who introduced himself as Capt. Stern stepped up. "They were after these parts that were brought to me by Steven Stone."
"Wait, as in Hoenn's champion?" Liam inquired.
"Indeed." Stern replied. "But, I have to thank you for dealing with Team Aqua."

"You're welcome, Captain," Shiranui responded before recognising the parts, "Do you know why they're after these parts?" He had recognised them as the same parts they saved from Team Aqua back near Rustboro City.

"No, I don't young man." Capt. Stern replied. He then recognized who he was talking to. "My apologies, Champion Tsukiko. I didn't recognize you immediately."

"I accept your apology," said Shiranui. Despite winning two Pokémon Leagues he was still not used to being addressed by his title. He was trying to piece together in his mind why Team Aqua sought the Devon Goods and their goal of using Kyogre's power for their nefarious ends.

"Well, we won't know anything else until they saw up again." Looker said. He thanked the heroes for the assistance.

"All in a day's work," replied Shiranui, "Speaking of which, good luck with your investigation."

"This might not be the end of team Aqua, if they achieve their goal things can get bad" lance said

"No doubt," replied Shiranui, "From what I read about Kyogre, if they succeed the world will be flooded until it becomes a water world."

"Well, until they show up again, there is nothing we can do about them. We are better off advancing to the next town, which features a gym." Liam stated.

"Sounds good to me" lance said getting pumped

"According to what I've read in my guide about the next gym leader, with a name like Wattson you could guess his speciality type," stated Shiranui.

"Well, let's get going." Liam said.

The heroes set off north along Route 110.

Along Route 110, Liam was training Treecko and Mudkip, both of whom evolved.

Shiranui was training as well when Niwatori evolved as well.

Soon enough, the next town came into view. Liam immediately went to the Pokémon Center.

Shiranui was awestruck at the modern look of Mauville City.

Most of Mauville was actually enclosed within a big building. Liam felt like riding his bike thorough the indoor areas. Liam overheard a young boy with green hair talking with a man about the gym. The boy wanted to face the gym, to show he had been getting better. But the man, apparently his uncle to him: "Now, hold on Wally. It's certainly true that you've grown quite stronger alongside your Pokémon. But don't you think that jumping right into a gym battle might be pushing it?"
"I'm not pushing it." Wally replied. Ralts and I can beat anyone!"
Liam did notice that this Wally kid did look a tad sickly, and his uncle may have a point, however he could see that Wally wanted a chance to prove he had been getting better. The uncle firmly put his foot down and Wally sadly accepted that he wouldn't be allowed to challenge the gym that day.

"How about giving one of us a go?" Shiranui offered to Wally.
