After the death of Sentinel Prime, Orion Pax took the mantle known as the Matrix of Leadership. He did not choose the Matrix of Leadership. The Matrix of Leadership chose him.

After merging with his spark, he soon became known as Optimus Prime. It was only after earning the mantle that signified his leadership did he prove such leadership by actions. He, alongside the remaining Autobot troops, fought against the forces of the Decepticons.

War always brings chaos to the planet. As such, Cybetron was damaged beyond belief, and the lands were barren from war. As such, both factions had to flee to other planets...

The Autobots and Decepticons find a planet. This planet is very primitive, and has no recorded name. So far, they have not found out its name, however, they are aware that this planet is very different from Cybertron.

It bustles with a wide variety of organic life, and has something known as 'magic'. The concept of magic was but a myth back on Cybertron, with no concrete evidence of it existing. By scanning certain organic beings that thrive on this planet, Cybertronians are capable of assuming magic-wielding altmodes.

Optimus Prime and a small team of Autobots had found a base in the Border Forest, a forest where the Western half is inhabited by a variety of Western Fae, and the Eastern half is bustling with yokai of all shapes and sizes. The new Autobot base is in the centre. The Border Forest is sandwiched by the Medieval-themed Sol Village and the Feudal-themed Tsukuyomi Village, both of which being rural farming villages. With the vicinity being very rural, there is little need for the Autobots to worry about being discovered.

Optimus Prime sends a signal to alert space-wavering Autobots about the presence of this Ground-bound faction.

Megatron and his Decepticons remain on the Sky Fortress, the Nemesis. Using this as their headquarters, they hover above the lands, suspecting that this planet is where the Autobots inhabit.

What I would prefer to have in this RP:

I'll need someone to play Starscream, as well as other incarnations of established characters(Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Arcee, Cliffjumper, Soundwave, etc.) in the Transformers franchise. Of course, new, original gigs are nice too.

Remember, no vehicles.

The GM(me) will be playing Megatron. It is up to a player to play Optimus.

If you want to include Dinobots, they can stay Dinosaurs. The inhabitants of the world will pass them off as dragon variants.

All joking aside, I might have to forgo my combiner idea and just stick with individual transformers so as not to occupy too much character real estate. So without further ado:

Appearance: The wings on his back are bat wings, there is a lion's head on his right shoulder, and the plasma cannon on his left hand is a scorpion's tail.
Altmode:

Altmode Abilities: Shockwave has claws and teeth, is capable of flight, and has a poison stinger that can launch poisoned spines. Shockwave is capable of poison-based magics.
Personality: Shockwave is an emotionless machine who answers only to order and logic. Though he sees emotions as a weakness, he tolerates Megatron's leadership because he understands that Megatron's emotions gives him understanding of the emotions of others, and let's him control them through fear and intimidation. In other words, Shockwave is the only person who would say Megatron has 'empathy'. Megatron's leadership has produced 'results', and that's good enough for Shockwave. Shockwave believes that only the tyranny of the Decepticons can establish absolute order. Perhaps the one emotion Shockwave has is curiosity, giving his already analytical mind the ability to innovate and discover new and often heinous solutions to immediate problems. He is an unethical experimenter, and will not hesitate to modify or 'improve' his fellow Decepticons, against their wishes if necessary.
History: In the split between the Autobots and the Decepticons, Shockwave, very early on, chose to side with the Decepticons and has been a loyal follower of Megatron since, providing their great leader with strategic advice and heading the research department. When it comes to information and infrastructure, you can be sure Shockwave has his hand in it whether it's 'interrogating' Autobots or designing the Nemesis.
Other Information: Purple is the most logical color.

Appearance: The helmet is blue instead red and orange and he has the standard facemask that every incarnation of Optimus has over his mouth. The Maximal emblem ( the wolfhead ) is the normal Autobot symbol
Altmode:
Altmode Abilities: As a mythical bird Optimus can fly. Like mosts phoenixes he has the ability to regenerate, but this uses up most of his Energon reserves and leaves him exhausted. He can fire fireballs from his wings.
Personality: Part of Optimus still believes he isn't worthy of the honor and responsibility of being a leader, but he has sworn to try and live up to the legacy of his predecessors. While he naturally has no love for Megatron, he has a grudging respect for his counterpart's combat ability and tactics. While he prefers not to send his troops on missions he wouldn't accept himself, he knows he can't allow the Matrix to fall in Decepticon hands , so sometimes he has no choice.
History: As Orion Pax he volunteered to fight against the Decepticons, not out of a love for violence but to protect others. While not the Autobots´ greatest fighter he showed both courage and wisdom during the war. These traits eventually earned him the Matrix of Leadership. Those traits along with his humble nature were probably why the Matrix choose him after Sentinel fell. At first he refused stating that there were others more worthy, but eventually he accepted his new duties.
