@classpet yo! How does my cs look?

It wouldn't be modern it'd be historical because it would something that is going on in history then. It's recent outbreak because it is a modern themed thread. If it was a historical thread then the out break would have occurred centuries ago. Besides if this had been happening for years why would a vampire suddenly reveal themselves if they know that humans would hunt them down? That's a really dumb move and it would be a lame way for vampires to be discovered. If all of the sudden some person were to just say that they were a blood sucking monster by interrupting like a news crew, people would just label the guy as mental and make fun of them online. Nobody would take them seriously and the hunters wouldn't even be created over one delusional idiot or would be viewed as some weird religious cult. What would be the point of having hunters then?

I personally don't see the problem with it being recent. +Hundred year old vampires seem way over done to me. Besides, this thread is identified as modern meaning recent, not historical meaning that it happened over a long period of time.

@Wraithblade6 this isn't a type of disease that you are born with. From what I understand, the disease seems to have begun with a sudden DNA mutation or one that developed in the body over time as the first vampire was born human and got older. Which then spread via bite. You have to have been bitten in order to get infected. You can't expect to have such a powerful disease to have spanned out for hundreds of years and expect the human race to still be in existence. It's simply not possible. You can have your character be bitten but they can't be born with the disease. That's simply not how it works in this thread, or at least by my understanding.

Name: Saoirse Clarke (her first name is pronounced see-er-sha)

Age: 25

Gender: female

Sexuality: heterosexual

Physical description: Saoirse stands at 5'4" and weighs 118lbs. She has a small thin frame. She wears a red noodle strap camisole, a pair of skinny jeans, a black hoodie, and black leather boots. Her hair is a wavy deep auburn that goes down to her mid torso and has bright blue eyes.

Personality: Saoirse is a kind, warm and gentle woman, at least towards her fellow humans she is. However towards vampires or when she's on the job, she is a cold blooded killer. That doesn't mean that she doesn't know when it's okay to relax. She doesn't like to open up much about herself and tends to keep to herself, even towards humans.

Background: Saoirse had a good childhood. She had a close knit group of friends and two loving parents that adored her. She couldn't have been more happy then when she was a child.

Of course, not all fairytale have happy endings. One day after school, on her way home, Saoirse's fairytale ended and her nightmares began. Blood. It drenched the destroyed rooms her home and on the corpses of her dead parents. What had perhapse terrified her the most was the human looking monster that loomed over her parent's bodies, it's face ans clothes smeared with their blood and it's eyes burned red. It was about to make her it's next meal, when suddenly, she was saved by the hunters. It was those same hunters that took her in and trained her to become a successful hunter.

At the age of 13, she had killed her first vampire. Over the years her names had become well known to both the hunters... And the vampires.

Skills

Talents: +agility: she is a very fast runner and has a high level of stamina

+acrobatics: she is pretty advanced in gymnastics and  can do much more than a few cartwheels and back flips

+is a good shot: she can handle and is a really good shot with a large variety of firearms.

+tracking: she has sharp instincts and senses, it doesn't take long for her to get on the trail of her next target

+self defense: she is a very skilled fighter, even without a weapon on hand
