Since the beginning, there have been 2 major races: the children of the light and the children of the darkness. However, this is not a story of good verses evil. No, no. Neither side is considered "good" or "evil". As a matter of fact, both children or light and dark were once allies. 

The children of the light and the dark stayed on their sides of the border and on occasion, would interact with each other. This is because neither side can last very long on the opposing territory, often meeting at the boarder between the two wolds. Both worlds and both races were very different. The children of the light are beings of beauty that rivaled that of the dazzling sun. They are healers and creature of life. Their world is bathed in sunlight, warmth, and life. The children of light are, by nature, kind, warm, gentle people. They specialize in fire, light, lightning, healing, and water magic. They are have slender, thin, lean builds, and are very quick, agile, people. Physically they are weak and tend to rely on their speed more. The children of the light are elves, angels, humans, fearies, and any other being know to dance in the sunlight.

On the other hand, the children of the dark are beings shrouded in darkness and mystery. They are also very beautiful beings, however, their beauty reflects that of the Moon. Like the moon, their beauty is best seen in the dark, where they thrive. Their world is that of eternal darkness, cold, and death. Very little vegetation grows there and their world is always covered in a thin layer of frost. From a young age, the children of darkness are taught to be ruthless, cunning, and cruel. They are trained to be the perfect warriors. They are strong and fast. Their builds tend to be tall, broad shouldered, and muscular. On some occasions there will be a few with more lean slender build. The specialize in dark, ice, Earth, illusion, blood, and black magic. The children of the dark consist of demons, phantoms, werewolves, vampires, and any other creature that has been known to lurk in the shadows. 

Everything was fine and dandy between the two races for many, many years. However, like all typical stories of light and dark forces, things didn't go to well and war broke out between the two nations.The cause of this war? Simple. Growing populations. The nation of the dark had a sudden population BOOM, and with a larger population comes the need for more land for citizens to reside and the need for more food to sustain the new lives. 

The king of darkness went to the king of light, asking for a small portion of land to sustain this sudden large growth. The king of light, fearing that if he gave the land would cause an uprising or the king of darkness to ask for more land, refused to give up the land. Thus the king of darkness returned to his hungry, crowded kingdom empty handed.

Time went on and the population of the children of darkness continued to grow at a rapid rate. The kingdom had become desperate and finally decided to take the land by force. This is where the war official begins. At first it was just a few raids from against the farmers. It was an annoyance, to say the least, for the farmers to come home to find their crops stolen or destroyed. However, what caused the children of light to retaliate was when a child was hit in the crossfire and ended up succumbing to their injuries.

More time passes and the war is full swing between the two nations. Both sides have created well fortified armies. Raids and loss of innocent life has become fairly common for both races. So much so, that the population has dropped to the point where both races would be able to live comfortably in their old borders. So why is both races still at war? Over the years spent fighting, rumors, bitterness, grudges, hatred, and the need for vengeance have consumed both races. What was once a squirmish over a small bit of territory, has become a war over old grudges, greed, hatred, and pride. It has become a war in which no side can win. The only way to stop this war now and to save both sides from destruction, is through love and forgiveness. But how can such a thing occur after years of blood and senseless slaughter? That's what you are going to have to find out.

Will love manage to somehow bloom on the battlefield and save both races?

The King of Darkness

Races:
Creatures of Light
Humans are fragile beings that are susceptible to illness and injuries. They can be one of the most weakest races and one of the strongest races. Their life expectancy ranges from  70 years to 90 years of age. Humans are very intelligent creatures and are easy to adapt to their surroundings. They specialize in healing and lightning magics. 

Unlike the other beings of light, humans can be bitten by creatures of darkness, such as vampires, werewolves, and demons, and join their ranks. Some to when a human dies, they can become a phantom.

Elves are very quick and agile beings, yet are physically weak and rely on their agility and speed. They have a thin taller build, pointed ears, and incredible eye sight and accuracy, making them ideal archers and long distance fighters. They also are the second shortest, along with faeries, in life expectancy at 500 years to 1000 years of age. Elves tend to specialize in healing, light, and lightning magic. However, some elves have been able to perform fire or water magic.

Faeries are spirits of nature and life. They are not known to be fighters, however, there have been a few cases where faeries have been soldiers. Faeries are one of the only light beings that can fly (along side angels). They have small, thin builds, butterfly/dragonfly wings, and pointed ears. It is said that, when flying, faeries are nearly impossible to spot. This is true to a certain extent. Faeries are quick and cleaver creatures. They specialize in lightning, fire, light, and water magics.

*Iron is very dangerous to faeries

Angels are extremely rare amongst their race, with only a few handfuls left in existence. They are immortal beings that are the most pacifistic race by far. They have slender builds and bird like wings on their backs. They are known to be gentle and warm creatures by nature and try to avoid conflict by all means. They specialize in fire, light, and healing magic.

Creatures of Darkness

Phantoms are the spirits of humans that died before they were supposed to or died a gruesome death. They are able to be seen and heard, yet very few are able to actually touch them. Phantoms tend to wander aimlessly, as they cannot touch most people making them essentially harmless, until they are able to move on. They specialize in illusions, ice, and black magic.

Werewolves are beings that appear to be human, however, they are anything but. Werewolves that are born, have the ability to change between wolf and human at will. Werewolves that are bitten, on the other hand, are influenced by the moon and only change under the full moon. Those that are bitten are guided by pure instinct, which also effects when they change. Werewolves have incredible sense of smell, hearing, and sight and are pack animals. However, while they live for a long time, they're not immortal beings. Werewolves are very strong and very fast beings. The males have large, muscular builds and broad shoulders. The females have more lean builds. Werewolves are the only race that cannot perform magic.

*Silver and Wolf'sbane are very dangerous to werewolves

Vampires are more uncommon and while they can live for thousands of years, they are not immortal. They are very beautiful beings that sustain themselves on a diet of fresh blood. They use their good looks to draw their prey in close, where they can finally strike. Vampires are very fast creatures with a strength of an average man. They have slightly muscular and lean builds, giving them a more delicate look to them. When they are feeding, or about to feed, their eyes glow a bright crimson. Of course, by the time their victims know what's happening, it's already too late. Vampires specialize in dark, illusion, and blood magic.

Like angels, demons are very rare, immortal beings, and only few are left in existence. They are the exact opposite of angels and are considered the aristocrats of the dark world. However, like angels, they can have bird like wings on their back, except their wings are black. They are beautiful creatures with with a diverse build range. They are fast and strong, perhaps the strongest of all dark creatures. They specialize in all types of dark magics.
