Evner was riding through a main road- no side roads around here, dammit- lost in thought once more when the smell hit. Blood. The odd, off smell of metal that churned his stomach. That was odd in itself; the sight and smell of blood usually didn't really even bother him anymore, since there had been so much of it around him as of late. There was something else making his stomach churn, there had to be. It was so familiar, but his mind was still oddly blank and focused on the tugging in his head. He...he couldn't...think. But there was something he should worry about and something he should be doing if only he could just focu-

"Shit-!" Evner cursed as he looked up. He twisted his motorcycle and leaned, trying to work with the breaks and avoid collision with the sideways car. No such luck as his wheel catches a pothole and launches him at the car he'd tried to avoid. His back hit the hood with a resounding THUNK and he continued moving, the momentum from being thrown off his motorcycle sending him crashing to the ground on the other side of the car and rolling several more feet into a warm, sticky substance. It smelled suspiciously of metal...'Oh, right.' Evner thought blandly. 'The blood...'

The gravel and foreign blood grabbed at his skin, scrapes and already forming bruises, causing them to burn in an uncomfortable manner. He rolled onto his stomach, ignoring the blood and the pounding in his head, and he pushed himself onto his hands and knees. He lifted his his head and paused at the smell of rotted flesh that wasn't there a moment ago. At least not as potent as it is. Two clawed hands passed through his field of vision and he cursed inwardly.

'You do this on purpose, you ass.' He hissed in his mind to the tugging feeling, as though there were chance of a response. He knew there wasn't. Whatever was pulling his mind wouldn't, or couldn't, answer. His eyes stung as the wretched smell invaded his nostrils and he chanced lifting his head.

Only to come face to rotted-face with a demon. 'Shit...'

I'm so sorry, I've been busy with school. I'll try and post during my program!
“You're really good at this chemistry kind of stuff. I can't believe you made this by yourself.”

Daemon scratched the back of is head and gave Koyaani a disgruntled look. "What're you talkin' about, dude, I graduated all of school- which, by the way, includes college- when I was 14. I'm a fuckin' genuis, you think I can't make some skin strengthening cream?" He felt slightly insulted, before remembering that Koyaani still didn't really know that much about him. "Oh, right, you just met me." He shrugged. He was about to continue-in a less crass way- explaining, but his cell phone rang. He answered the call without looking, holding his finger up to Koyaani, and put the phone to his ear.

"What." Was his curt answer.

"Your father wants you to come i-"

"No."

"Bu-"

"No."

"He ordered i-"

"No, I'm not fucking coming in, I told him I wanted as little to do with it as possible and that he can't just fucking call me in. I'm his son, not a dog. Right now I've got a sister who practically cried herself to sleep because of that bastard, I'm not about t-"

"DAEMON AXEL MALONE YOU GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE THIS FUCKING INSTANT!" Daemon winced and pulled the phone away from his ear as his father interrupted, screaming through it so it could practically be heard through the whole apartment.

"HOWABOUT YOU KISS MY ASS INSTEAD, OLD MAN!" He yelled back, his short fuse already blowing. His eyes glowed a malicious green. "I'M NOT LETTING YOU RUIN MY LIFE BY PULLING ME BACK! DAMI ISN'T EVEN APART OF THIS AND BECAUSE OF YOU SHE CAN'T MAKE ANY CLOSE RELATIONS! HOW MANY GODS-BE-DAMNED TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE?!"

"YOU'VE GOT A DUTY TO YOUR FAMILY-"

"LIKE HELL I DO, YOU PRICK! I'VE GOT A DUTY TO DAMI, I OWE YOU NOTHING-"

"THAT AIN'T GONNA MATTER WHEN LUCID STARTS GOING AFTER EVERYON-" Daemon threw his cellphone across the room and it shattered on impact, leaving a small hole in the wall. His breaths were short, let out in angry huffs. His fists were clenched and he glared at the opposite wall.

"You and daddy had a fight again." The voice was small, and Daemon's eyes softened, returning to their brown state. He never really took into account if people would hear him and his dad fighting, he never cared when he blew his fuse. "He just wants you to come home. He told me."

"He wants to pull me back into the business, Dami, and you know I don't swing like that." He whispered. She nodded.

"I should go see him, calm him down. It was nice meeting you, Blaine." She said, leaving before Daemon could stop her. Oh, and Koyaani just heard all of that.Great.

Daemon sighed. Far too much was happening. It seems like everything he was keeping hidden about himself decided to crop up on the one day a Recruit-Hero-to-be was there. Everything he'd kept from H.UN.T; his identity, his sister, his father...it's all coming down on him today.

If that's not Karma making him her bitch, he didn't know what was.
“What? Of course I don't mind! Everyone's different, you know? I'm all for accepting people.”

"Ah, I'm glad." Daemon murmured, looking down as the other man took the mask off. He'd only look up when asked, give Koyaani a sense of control over his identity.

“Do I look anything like how you imagined me?” Daemon looked up and caught his breath, before revealing a smile.

"Near exact, actually, though I gave you a bit rougher features in the illusion where your mask was." He answered. "I can give you a cream for that. The creases, I mean." He continued. "I use it for my own mask. I created it myself, actually. You put it on before you put the mask on, and you don't get creases afterwards. You can use it after getting creases, of course; it's just easier to use previous." He got up and grabbed some out of the cabinet in the bathroom. He returned and uncapped the lid, putting a bit on the creases on Koyaani's face. They started disappearing almost instantly.

"It toughens the first couple layers of skin, the ones easily torn. You don't feel it at all, but it makes the molecules denser without inhibiting movement. I based it off a formula I had originally created as an intravenous thing for the Heroes that couldn't block or move as quickly. It didn't work too well, it messed up the muscles- made 'em too stiff- in the original testing phase. I tried it as a topical cream next, seeing if it was just because the inner body couldn't handle it. It's been working great for a year. I sell it to a few who really need it, but I'd never release the formula to H.UN.T. Gods know what those dubasses woyuld do with it, even under Mercy's watchful eye..." He rambled, a bit of his Chemistry genius shining through. He took his hand away as the last crease on Koyaani's face disappeared.

"There, good as new."
Ummm...is this going to start or....?
"Uh, sure...I could keep the illusion up if you want, but it is a little dangerous without the chemicals from my mask keeping my powers at bay." He explained "There's a chance of it warping the illusion, and I'd rather not give my baby sister nightmare." He scratched his head.

"You...don't mind that I'm..." he trailed off. "Y'know. Some guys get real uncomfortable about that sort of thing." He thought back to all the times he'd kicked guys' asses when they tried to jump him and a one night stand outside a gay bar. Needless to say, the one night stand usually became him consoling the fear filled man instead.
"Um, yeah, right! Dami, howabout you head into my room and rest a bit, take a nap. I'll leave some water by the bedstand." Daemon said softly, ruffling her hair. Dami nodded tiredly, walking towards Daemon's room. Just before she loses the door:

"Try not to be too loud with your boyfriend while I'm here." She whispered, closing the door right after.

"Dami!" Daemon sighed, heading to the kitchen and then dropping the water off in his room, before returning to Koyaani. "Sorry 'bout that. She doesn't have much of a filter..." He mentioned as he sat back down in the chair. "I really didn't mean for you to find anything out about me, let alone that much that fast..."
Lucid stared as Koyaani turned to a British soap opera. He honestly couldn't care less as his eyelids drifted closed where he sat. Loathe as he is to admit it, he's found himself watching the very same soap opera when he'd ended up on the futon. Not that he watched TV a lot, but sometimes he needed noise from the outside to get him to sleep. To fend off any nightmares. He passed out in the chair sometime around one of the guys professing his love to another, only to get turned down for their teacher. He honestly never understood the show, but him and Koyaani both zoned out to it so who cared.

Five hours later, both men were shocked back into reality by harsh, quick nockings on his door. His head shot up and his eyes bore into Koyaani's.

"Daemon! Daemon open up! C'mon bro, I want to come in!" A voice cried through sobs from the other side of the door. Lucid sigh and went to answer the door before remembering his outfit, and who he had in his apartment. 'Way to go, Dami; you don't even know I have a secret identity, and you still blew it!' he thought, staring at Koyaani.

"Shit." Came the slightly muffled swear through his mask. "This is useless now. But this stays between us, kid." He spoke as he threw his outfit off, leaving him in his boxers as he hid his outfit in a panel in his closet. "Coming, Dami! Just hold up!" He called, not finding it hard to make his voice tired. He looked to Koyaani and though for a minute, his eyes flashed green as he looked to his sister through the peephole. He didn't know what Koyaani really looked like, but to Dami- and now, subsequently, him- he was also in boxers, with a toned and tan body, square jaw, and slightly rough features. His eyes returned to their chocolate brown and he opened the door and got a stomach full of crying 17 year old.

"Jason broke up with me when he found out about daddy!" Was the first thing out of her mouth. Daemon sighed and wrapped his arms around her.

"Why do you always tell your boyfriends about him?" He sighed. She looked up.

"Well, because they should know that daddy's a-" he stiffened, but she'd paused and looked over his shoulder. "W-who's that?" She asked. Daemon's eyes widened, he hasn't really thought of a backstory. "Oh my gods! He's your boyfriend, isn't he?!" She exclaimed, and Daemon's head snapped between Koyaani and his sister. Well, he did make it look like some random guy in boxers was in his apartment. "I knew you were gay, but damn you got a good one-"

"Dami!" He interrupted, covering her mouth with his hands. "Um, this...this is Blaine. He's...a friend." She coughed.

"Boyfriend."

"Dami!"

"Hi! I'm Dami, Daemon's little sister." She said, walking passed Daemon to Koyaani. "You are very handsome and far out of my brother's league. Shame you're gay."

Behind her, Daemon smacked his head in embarrassment and exasperation.
