"Ehh... What are those? Androids?"

Aoi softly whispers to herself as she skulks in an alleyway, peeking out to witness something she doesn't see everyday. Although this is just another experience she has to add in the list of oddities and misfortune that have happened to her so far...

It started during a deployment of the Children. First the B.A.B.E.L. transport helicopter they were using had an engine failure, although no one was hurt when quick thinking by Kaoru lead to her essentially carrying the chopper to land on the ground safely. However that little incident cost them time, which meant she had to teleport everyone in a sustained mode towards the scene. Which meant on arrival she was a bit too tired to function as efficiently as her colleagues. Noticing this Kaoru decided to go all out and end the confrontation quick, and unleashed a massive psychokinetic wave at the bad guys, unfortunately the resulting explosion of debris caught Aoi off guard and she got hit in the forehead by a piece of rubble. This caused her to lose balance from her position on a rooftop and fall through a glass roof of a building nearby.

When she came to she had to go through the shock of not only being tired and hurt, but also noticing that the entire place has changed... Because when she got out of the warehouse type building she found herself in, there was no Kaoru, no Shiho, and no Minamoto... All she saw was a parking lot that has definitely seen better days. Whats worse is that when she consciously tapped into her sense of dimensions and space, she could'nt find her bearing whatsoever... This in addition to what has already happened almost brought her to the verge of tears, but she held it back and kept strong...

After spending a few minutes to calm herself as well as tend to the injuries she sustained she set off to find a way back to where her team was or at least find a way to call for help, as to her dismay she found out that her cellphone has permanently no connection here. Cautiously she began exploring...

And that's how she ended up here. Watching what appears to be two androids about to converse with each other.

  • A nice and friendly young girl that one would consider completely average apart from certain unique aspects... That's not entirely a bad thing considering the personalities of two of her immediate best friends. She's the fulcrum between sharp-tongued sarcasm and barely contained excitable brashness. Though this does mean she can sway one way or the other depending on the atmosphere of interaction.

  • Teleportation is the primary way she expresses her esp, although she also has the pre-requisite and complementary abilities that come with teleportation. Her specific core ability is the manipulation of space and dimensions of which the most often seen example of it's use is teleportation. Parameters are not completely defined but what is certain is that the volume of space she's relocating (which includes things in it for obvious reasons) is inversely proportional to the displacement distance... So she can transport large things short distances or small things for much more significant distances.
    An incomplete list of things that can be one with it and also things that disrupt it.
    
    
    
    • She can teleport things into other objects. An example would be to teleport an explosive device deep into the ground to reduce it's blast...
    • She can selectively teleport parts of things somewhere else. Example would be teleporting a part of a lightpost away to make a clean cut...
    • Additionally she can change the orientation and positioning of things she teleports...

    • One of the things that can disrupt her ability to teleport is interference, If there's a significant amount of substantially large particles or objects in the vicinity it becomes difficult for her to displace all objects in the area of where she will teleport something to, For instance if there's a lot of insects around, it becomes a possibility that if she teleports to any area, she can miss an insect to displace as she teleports into that space, thus ending with the insect inside her, which is very likely unpleasant...
    • Being distracted, be it emotional, physical or psychical can also limit her ability to properly make use of her ESP. In instances requiring great concentration, something as little as talking to her can be enough of a distraction. Of great concern is being incapacitated during usage of her ability. An example would be getting electrocuted while performing her ability, now while this will disrupt her from completing her task, there is a great chance that she might lose control of it.
    • And as per usual, any ESP limiting devices or signals can significantly interfere with her abilities...
  • Spatial awareness and recognition is one of those complementary abilities that she has. While teleportation is the most commonly seen example of her set of abilities, her spatial awareness is one that's most commonly used, because even she is not consciously aware that she's doing it. She can sense in one way or another through her own psychic senses the ebb and flow of space (since space and time is connected, we could assume time as well) and any disturbances within it. This means she can sense the movement and shape of objects in her vicinity as well as whatever other happenings in the space around her. This includes the effect of other abilities. She displays the ability to know the location from which another teleporter teleported something from and the ability to predict where they teleported it to.
  • As a side-effect of being able to manipulate space and dimensions, While there are many ways her ability can be disrupted, she also has the ability to disrupt others. Most prevalent would be other teleporters though any other ability that requires space and dimensions can be messed with to a limited extent.
  • Aside from that, her abilities are what one would expect of a young lady like she is... Above avarge physical fitness and a passable level of competence in unarmed and armed combat without her abilities. Non combat abilities run the gamut from being good at games (hey this can come in handy) to the skills that make a good housewife... She's clever and intelligent as well to boot.

  • A level seven teleporter esper from Kyoto. She ends up working with a group called B.A.B.E.L. with her friends Akashi Kaoru, Sannomiya Shiho and their handler Minamoto Kōichi.

Oh come on, don't pull that...



Even the same scene in the manga shows that she is in fact floating... Teleportation in general (of the instantaneous sort in the franchise, because there's quite a bit of variations in teleportation abilities in the franchise) would be marked by softly glowing green, which she should be doing if she's needing to constantly teleport herself on the spot to mimic flight...

She actually can fly without Kaoru even being in the area, which is shown on both the Manga and the anime, the clip titled "blind teleporation" actually has a short example of her doing it Unless we handwave that as Kaoru is subconsciously helping her from many many miles away. And yeah it's fine for the esper disruption things to not work.
