If Gandalf the White fought against The Coven from AHS, who would win? All the witches are more powerful than the average Middle Earth magician, not a "Wizard" mind you, IMHO, but the magicians are quite more based on making magical things, even more subtle than a Middle Earth Wizard. Horror Story Witches are quite easily capable of scaring the crap out of Orcs, Goblins, and maybe even Nazgul. . . Gandalf is easily the better than any single Witch, except, perhaps someone like Fiona Goode, and Marie LeVeau.
