The world was made thousands of years ago. The Maker created the world twenty thousand years ago out of his own blood. His two sons, The Cherub known as Gabriel, and Empyron the Great were lauded for their services to The Maker. There were no services for The Maker's third Son, Death. Death was given leave until the time would come for him to collect the dead. For then, at that time, all the dead went to the Maker. Death lauded himself in pride, and rebelled against The Maker. Death's armies attempted to conquer The Maker and his armies, but it was useless. Death's forces were destroyed and Death was defeated, only to bring the down fall of immortality in the Elven, Human and other races. Now, Man dies young, and even Elves die in many hundreds of years worth of time. The Cherub insisted on carrying as many forces to the world of Eliwyn as possible to wipe out Death and his armies, but the Maker knew that the world would be doomed from the infighting.
