What's up? I'm just a user - you might even call me AGenericUser. Sometimes I do an obscure little thing called roleplay - maybe you've heard of such a thing before? At any rate, there's not really much to tell you about myself. I like JRPGs though, so there's that I guess.

Nice! It’s good to see a variety of different abilities being brought in. My only question: if her sword is wooden, how does it conduct electricity in her sword attack?

... Oh. Oh.

My bad there! I changed the shield to metal for that ability, but when I was doing that, I think I must've neglected to change the sword, as well. Quite the blunder, I'll admit...

I'll change it in a bit, but one part of me's entertaining the possibility of her not being able to use her electrical abilities until she gets a metallic weapon. That could be a potentially interesting thing... maybe, not sure on that yet.

But yeah, that was an error on my part. My bad, and sorry about that.
Pushed out a few edits to my form, which are in bold. Most notably is that I changed her from being a Water element user to the Electric element user I was hoping to make her. Her water abilities admittedly weren't doing it much for me.

Unfortunately I didn't add a theme, so I am just one half as cool as you guys. Maybe. Feel free to pretend I did, though! That's what I'm doing, pretending I did it. Maybe I'll get to adding one sometime.
I was getting some major Xenoblade 2 vibes from this, so I'm glad to see that it wasn't just me! Always a good thing to hear that something's inspired by the Xenoblade series. However, if there aren't soldiers that are yelling 'don't forget me', then there might be a bit of a problem. Jus' sayin', because those are always highlights.

Anyways, for my character sheet, I'm planning to make a few changes in eight to twelve hours or so. In particular I'll probably be revamping her Aether Abilities - and maybe adding a few more tabs that should flesh her out a little more, motivation wise and all. I'll be putting any changes in bold text on my form, just in case some of it's been read already, too. Won't be able to get these changes in immediately because school and all that, but I'll have them in... soon!
It hasn't even started yet - and these shenanigans sound great already.

I'll probably make a few fleshing out changes as well where I can, too.

Kobalt Zaffre

Kobalt strayed not from his path - he didn't know if it headed to wherever he needed to be, but all he could do was hope that he was heading the right way. It wasn't exactly the most thrilling nature walk - the Emerald Forest wasn't the most diverse forest he'd seen. Sure, if you liked trees, you were in for a treat, but so far? He'd seen nothing but trees. It was much like some sort of forest maze. It wouldn't be too hard to get yourself lost in such a vast, similar looking place.

'Still... can't believe Ozpin just flat out dropped us into a place like this. Didn't think he'd be the type to do stuff like that - but that ain't a bad thing by any means. If you can't handle this place, you aren't fit to be a hunter.' Kobalt reminisced, a hand onto his peaked cap - as the previous fight had thrown it slightly ajar. When he felt that his hat was back in the perfect place, he boarded his train of thought once more. 'Speaking of which, can't help but wonder how the other guys are doing. Most of them looked pretty capable, so I doubt any of them got splattered onto the grass or bested by some second-rate Grimm. Hell, I haven't run into anybody, now that I think about it.'

'Anyways, that partner system Ozpin mentioned... first person you have eye contact with, you're teamed with. Wonder how they enforce that. I'm sure some dumb sod's tried to lie about who they saw.' Kobalt continued his walk, still not noticing anything of interest - but emerald green trees, as far as the eye could see. 'I'll need a partner here, anyways. Apparently that's a prerequisite to whatever we're doing here, if I ain't remembering wrong or something like that. Sounds like I'm gonna have to be on the prowl for a partner, then. May as well get this whole business over with.'

After a few more minutes of walking, something finally caught Kobalt's eye, far off in the distance. He was equally curious as to what it was, as he was excited to finally have seen anything of note within the forest. What he spotted as a mass of black - likely a Grimm - being assaulted by some form of thin blue projectile. Kobalt assumed they were arrows... though it didn't matter what they were.

What mattered, is that a person was nearby. It was in Kobalt's best interest to get a teammate, so he needed to catch up to whoever had shot that arrow... not that he'd seen them, but it was still worth a shot.

"Running ain't gonna get me very far... so, looks like it's high time for me to bust out a trick." Kobalt muttered to nobody in particular, as he pointed one of his gauntlets at the ground, then fired off a rope as far as he could. Said rope dug into the ground firmly... and then, Kobalt motioned with his fingers inside the gauntlet. With an audible click, Kobalt was pulled towards the rope with high velocity. Another motion of his fingers withdrew the rope from the ground, which almost instantaneously retracted back into his gauntlets. Eventually, Kobalt came to a stop utilizing his gauntlets to root himself to the ground. He'd reached the area where the Grimm was... if it hadn't been killed. The source of the arrows had killed the Grimm. 'I think I'm close, at least... keep this up, and I'll find whoever this archer is, hopefully. Would suck if they're already in a team, though.'

There was no sign of whoever this archer was, but they couldn't have gotten far - unless they had a Semblance or a weapon that allowed them to traverse the landscape quickly and easily. So instead... Kobalt thought it'd be best to yell out and hope that the person heard it.

"Good shootin', whoever you are! You got a partner!?" Kobalt yelled out. "We're screwed if we don't have a partner, don't think we'll be allowed to finish this whole course thing without one. I ain't a fan of that, and if you ain't a fan of that too, it'll probably be best if you join up with me or somethin'!" Kobalt ceased his yelling. It wasn't particularly his style to yell so loudly, but hey - he needed a partner... but, he could only pray that the archer was nearby and didn't have a partner, for it'd be incredibly awkward if that were the case. Hell, it was already pretty awkward to be yelling about requiring a partner...

Here's my currently kind of incomplete character sheet. It doesn't have a picture yet, and I'm admittedly pretty iffy on the abilities, so I might end up changing those. Sorry if there's any major flaws.

Edit 3: Well, big revamps have found their way to this. New stuff's visible in bold, just in case you guys have already read it - I wouldn't want to make you lot have to read through the entire form a second time, just for a few changes. Most sections have at least something new, though the section that really got a revamp was Aether Abilities.

Kobalt Zaffre

'Well, looks like this is the right way after all.' Kobalt mused, his trek through the forest having brought him to a small gathering of jet black beasts, each of which seemed to wear a white mask decorated with red. They were Grimm, three of them - two Boarbatusk, and one Beowolf. Kobalt laid eyes on the enemies that stood before him, as if analyzing them. 'Yeah, definitely the right way. May as well mash these monsters. Been a while since I've had a good scrap, anyways. Let's see if I can get through without getting hit.'

Twin Thunderbolts at the ready, Kobalt slowly began to walk towards the three Grimm. It didn't take too long for the shadowy beasts to take notice that someone had approached... precisely what Kobalt wanted. The Beowolf of the group didn't waste a moment - as soon as it noticed the presence of a human, it charged forth, baring its fangs. It didn't take long for it to get close to Kobalt... who suddenly dashed out of the Beowolf's path. With a snarl, the Beowolf didn't shift its attention to anything else but the prey who'd entered its territory. Kobalt noted the beast's movements. It had rushed forwards in a straight line towards its target, at high speed... knowing was half the battle, and knowing that could make his battle significantly easier.

'Finally... time to let loose...!' Kobalt waited for his target, the Beowolf to get close. That was the prime opportunity for Kobalt to deliver an attack of his own. Though, he knew not to shift his attention away from the two Boarbatusk, who were on the other side of Kobalt. He deemed this not a problem. In fact, the presence of the Boarbatusk opened up a new possibility... though, he thought it best to wait until he'd defeated the Beowolf before he explored that idea of his. It didn't take long for the Beowolf to charge forth again, in a rather similar pattern to before. Again, Kobalt dodged this, though this time he delivered a quick punch to his opponent. It wasn't aura enhanced, but it'd do. However, the two Boarbatusk saw this as the prime opportunity to attack. And this time, Kobalt didn't evade. A claw slashed against his arm, and a slight wave of pain rushed through his body - though, dulled due to the effect of Aura. 'Was hoping to get through this without getting hit once... not gonna lie to myself, I'm a little pissed off now. Since that ain't a thing anymore, I'll just clobber these freaks into next week!'

Turning his attention to the Boarbatusk that attacked him, Kobalt unleashed a flurry of punches - with each punch, he stepped to the left in a circle around his foe until he'd traveled in a full rotation around the Boarbatusk. For his final strike, he began to channel Aura into his dominant hand - and swung his fist with all the force he could muster in an uppercut, sending the Boarbatusk slightly into the air. "Don't tell me you're already done - because it's only just started!" With a finger motion, Kobalt fired forth the rope from his Twin Thunderbolts, which embedded itself into the Boarbatusk. Channeling his strength, Kobalt began to swing the aerial Boarbatusk in a clockwise motion - with this attack, he managed to smash the Boarbatusk's body into the Beowolf, though he couldn't keep it up the attack for much longer - Grimm weren't as light as one would hope. So, Kobalt retracted the rope from the Boarbatusk, which sent it and the Boarbatusk flying into a tree, creating quite the loud thud. Kobalt couldn't help but smirk - he thought this was a clever move.

"Guessing that means more of these Grimm will come and stop by, huh. That's good. Wouldn't hurt to get more practice." Kobalt stepped over to the remaining Boarbatusk, which he narrowed his eyes at. The beast didn't move, though even still, Kobalt saw fit to give it a good, aura-empowered hit. This strike knocked it onto its back. "I say bring 'em on. Kobalt Zaffre'll welcome all challengers. And, just know... next time, I won't take a single hit." He boasted to nobody in particular, as he began to leave the scene, sparing not even a look behind him. He wasn't worried about more Grimm - no, he hoped more came. Though... whether that was wise or not was another question entirely. Though, what was for sure... was that his actions would bring forth Grimm Tidings.

Interactions: None. Kobalt's playing it solo right now.
Yeah, I like the sound of this, sounds nifty. You've got my interest.
Don't just think you gave him a cool weapon, you did give him a cool weapon. Bowblades are always pretty nifty.
Well, speaking of bows, is it a bad time to mention that I was very close to going with bow gauntlets for Kobalt?

Anyways, Team AARK sounds groovy. Radical, even.
