"I didn't realize a seat next to me was so sought after!" Lugft chuckled at the way the brides tried to bond and stand up for eachother, it was hilarious. Aery had immediately volunteered for the seat, trying to become a martyr perhaps? No, she was trying to look strong to them. He was about to declare her the lucky lady, and then Tirza spoke up.

She was... good at persuasion. That was going to be fun when they were back at Lugft's manse. It was hard to resist... but he wanted Aery next to him, he wanted to learn more deeply about her... she was his blank slate, and he needed to know how best to paint her. "Fireheart", a perfect nickname, never spoke up herself, which surprised Lugft, he had expected a biting comment or snappy comeback like before, but she remained determinedly silent. So, as they exited the Grand Ballroom, and began down the halls to his carriage, "Now, now Tirza, Aery clearly asked first, so to the quicker goes the reward. Aery," he smiled at the tiny Gem, his eyes taking in every inch of her, then removed his arms from the other two Gems, allowing them to walk freely beside him, but also took Aery by her waist with his right arm, pressing her against him, "you are so perfect, so small and delicate, and yet you volunteer to sit beside a murderer like me? Truly you must be terrified, aren't you? Well, of course not, your shaking with fear. It's alright... I've no reason to hurt you yet." his avaricious smile again graced his face, his hungry eyes still stuck on her.

In no time they arrived at his carriage, two guards stood beside the open door of the resplendent vehicle. Lugft lifted Aery into her seat, then helped Tirza and Fireheart to their seats across from Aery. He then sat down, and pulled Aery close to him. As the carriage set off, Lugft's still blood covered arms had dried, though he did not sit idly. His right hand began on Aery's knee but, as he spoke, worked it's way up her leg, stopping just short of her waist, "Well, now that we have a bit of time, let me ask the three of you a few questions, but let's start with any interests you have? I know, strange that I'm asking right? Well healthy and happy brides tend to both look better, and bear healthier children, and if I'm to show you off you must look your best" however, under his breath he also mentioned, "a happy bride's also less likely to off herself". He then waited for his brides answers, while practically groping Aery, for his hand wished to explore other areas... Though Lugft restrained himself for now.

I was just waiting. I'll post soon
As soon as @The Whackoposts again we can get the bridge massacre over with, unless he wants to wait like Quel for the fighting to begin
Corillia was a strange world. Technically classified by the administratum as an agri world, due to its rolling fields and large heards of strange cattle. The planet has only a short dry season, and a very long and aggressive wet season. While this all seems very standard, a surprisingly large number of pilgrims from nearby systems flock to the planet. This is due to the city of Acane, a city of towering steeples, grand cathedrals and the Graves of veritable thousands of minor saints. Recently, pilgrims have dropped of, mainly due to the inexorable approach of the Black legion, and those on the planet now have no way of leaving, but one force of the Imperium has no wish to leave the world. The Lamenters are a lone space marine chapter, charged with the defence of Corillia and it's people. The city of Acane, specifically, has been assigned to the fourth company. Due to the stressed nature of the chapters forces the 4th company stands alone, and virtually unsupported as the chapter can spare no resources to defend the shrine city. The 4th company is bolstered only by the cities garrison of 873 pdf, and 3 rhinos allocated for their use. As they prepare for the coming siege, the clouds above begin to gather, the invasion has fallen directly upon the beginning of the wet season. This season however, brings not only the life giving rain, but also carries the weight of innumerable traitors, who's true goals for conquering the world can be only guessed at... by most at least.

But captain Vergil had more important things on his mind than the seasons of an agri world, he had a city to defend. Vergil had left the isolated cathedral only twice since their arrival. He had been so bogged down in logistics he had been able to speak precious little with his own men, and with the Mortificators abandonment of the world had only increased his workload.

Suddenly, a commisar and Arbitrator walked into the cathedral, but with a strange gait. Since the Dreadnought could not hold paper myriad cherubs and servo skulls carried documents for him to read and brought pict docs to be interfaced with his hud. The servo skull with the commisar told a very different story. The Inquisition? Why here and now? Vergil hated to keep secrets from his men, but he knew better than to disobey the Inquisition.

He tilted his sarcophagus toward the Inquisitor, "Well met Commisar Marian, I shall relay our previous plans for tge PDF to you for briefing. However I wish to speak in private to you... I have questions regarding your assignment here

With that he looked to his command squad, "We will re-convene shortly for final planning" and moved to a room that had been appropriated foR the massive Dreadnought, making certain the Inquisitor followed suit.
Yes, I redid his bio and personality... and his gear... shush

Arabar strode through the dark halls with purpose, but had yet to see another marine which was unfortunate. He had put his helmet on shortly after leaving the hold, unlike his flock the dark was harder to pierce for him, so he had to rely on his helmet's vision in the dark corridors. Of course he imagined most of his flock would likewise be wearing their own helms to tell friend from foe, so they needn't discover his reliance on it.

As he moved to the bridge, he saw two of his disciples conversing, no doubt on their way to the bridge. The first, carrying a power sword was Lentus, a loyal marine, largely due to his insanity brought on by his guilt, and service to Arabar seemed to Lentus as a way to "redeem" himself, and would follow Arabar without question. The other was Udan, a member of the "Fourth claw" as the night lords called their squads, one of Sorthraal's men. Like Sorthraal Udan was implacable in his lack of faith, and would be difficult to sway to worship just like his sergeant. But a third figure rounded the corner, one less friendly.

Arabar took the opportunity, and charged the loyalist night lord, crozius raised. Before the surprised marine could react the crozius had crashed into his helmet, and the marine fell. Arabar finished the job with a quick shot from Araghast, who's lone eye situated on the left side of the pistols body, writhed with the pleasure of the kill. Arabar approached his faithful then, "Lentus, Udan, my children. We make our way now to the bridge, and soon shall begin our final pilgrimage. Come, you two shall be my personal retinue"

It was not long now, the rest of the flock would be working their way through the ship, soon to arrive at the bridge. Without breaking stride, Arabar continued to the bridge, expecting Lentus and Udan to fall in behind him. There was no time for idle talk, the gods called for the blood of infidels.
