She might not be a good friend at first because she never had a playmate and my brother is not the playing with children type. He has tried but he has admitted that the only thing that he really has done with her are tea parties. She does have a doll but not many clothes. She has the female mind but I'll think of ways that the two of you can play.

"Are you sure that you want to take her on? She is a selkie that can't finish her transformation due to calcification of her lower limbs. They are very rigid and are heavy. There is no cure but excersises. It is hoped that in time her limbs will become less rigid.
I am told that she can be a handful. She is strong in the arms and very determined to do what she wants to do.

I will say that she has accepted everyone including myself. She now knows that I am a vampire....... She is quite different from any other child that I have ever known. Not that I have known many..."

"When would be a good time to learn the system?" Mystique asked as she sat down in a chair.
"I start to work next week..... And I'll need to figure out what to do with Fiona." she just realized much to her dismay.

"So it really is true that scientists are lazy?" Mystique chuckled.
"Perhaps I'll volunteer my services if I can figure out your filing system. Particularly if you happen to show me some interesting sites in outer space."

Once she taken off the protective gear, mystique followed loan and Toma to the computer room. She saw various piles of paper on the desks.

"Do you have anyone that files the paperwork that you and others create? It looks like some of the piles will soon fall over." Mystique asked as she carefully moved around the room.

"I hadn't noticed. But now that you mention it, I am a bit cool. Thanks for showing me this telescope." Mystique smiled as she walked towards the door.

"Then I suppose that it would be best to sit in the computer room. loan, I just can't get over the massive size of this telescope. There must be a really good filtering system in here so that there is not a speck of dust inside. A speck of dust could be as big as a meteorite if it landed on a lens...."

"That would be nice to see. May I sit in one of the chairs?" Mystique asked as she looked at a chair nearby.

"So unless we some day can build a self sustaining ship, there is no chance in going to other places. But we can dream and look for plausible places that life could exist.
What can we see out there tonight?"
