Aisling — Roleplayer Guild

I have RPed for a long time (since2003)and have done many kinds of RP, created a lot of RPs and helped with many others. I have made a list of RP Ideas because I would like to start a new one or two. I want a committed group of people to tell me what to put up for grabs. These are the ones that I have selected at the moment.

Basic Idea: A few circus performers drift together to form a ‘family’ and try to make their way in the world. Accidents follow them, an old curse pops up.  
Very open to side plots and themes.

I am thinking of this circus being a permanent circus complete with housing for ‘the family’ . There can be gory side shows, carnival area, rides, anything that  the group wishes to have.


THOUGHTS:

Must leave body with an attendant BEFORE embalming process.
Wake up in Coroners box, hospital bed, ambulance with an Attendant.
Attendant can be an angel form or devil form and will become the one who guides the newly dead to a destination of their choice.
This place is no place in the physical sense of things but a place to wait in while a decision is made about whether or not you are given a second chance at your life, being reincarnated into a new being or sent to your ‘reward’.
There is no time, no need to eat or drink or even sleep. 
RP will be a series of mini RPS
You will begin at Designation Hotel with your Attendant. When you ‘check in’, you will be given a number that will be your ‘calling card’ name. The Attendant will give you a piece of paper to fill out about what kind of a ‘vacation’ you would like to share. Once you give the paper back to the Attendant, you may be up for a partner or partners to go on a vacation. The Paper is given to Spirit who will ‘arrange’ the vacation while you wait for your Second Chance at Life.
This is where you find someone else to RP with.  You may even go on a vacation with an Attendant.


Reincarnation version
General Set Up:
You have died recently; you could feel the life sliding away,
Briefly all you saw was darkness; you heard and felt nothing,
Then a song broke a silence,
You felt a compulsion you could not explain; you had to follow it, As you did your eyes seemingly opened though it was fuzzy but you could kinda make out a few things,
A land, was it a sunken city or island? A mix of forests and plains? A group of foothills and mountains?  Too fuzzy.

Welcome to the Afterlife. A place that is not hell or heaven. Nor does it really exist. It is more of a rest area before reincarnation. A vacation if you will but there are some rules around. The music that you have just heard was your own ‘theme’ song. You are the only one that can hear the song otherwise you can’t be recalled.
RULES:
Believe in that something is around after death. If you didn’t believe in Reincarnation, you wouldn’t be able to remember your past lives.
Each incarnation is meant to prepare the person for the next life whether it is to  be relaxing, learning a new culture, or some other set of lessons.
 You always wake up in your own corner. 
 You get to choose what kind of life that you would like to try out. Even if it is your own life. 
You may even choose to be an alien or an animal  if you want to.


This RP starts with a scene in a lawyer's office and deals with reading a will of a dead man. The will is a strange one and the children were very greedy and did not like a poor relation.
This poor relation is getting a very large area of prime wood that was very valuable. The children want the wood for the money but the mother id not want it at all. In fact, she refuses to even go there to see the land. Morticia who an outsider is given the land. 

Of course there was a uproar and then the children find out why the land was not given to their mother but to Morticia.
Morticia and the lawyer are Vampyres- there is a difference between Vampyres and Vampires in this community which is what this story is based on.

The woods is in Transylvania, Romania.In this woods was a small community of vampires who lived off of wanderers that came into the woods. There were two main families that were enemies from childhood days. The older vampires felt thay it was their right to dink to their fill and the young didn't need much blood. The young vampyres and vampires felt that they needed to feel their tummies too. They began to drink animal blood but not to the death of the animal which is another problem between the young and old. The waste of perfectly good food.
As  the younger ones experiment with drinking the animal blood, some found that they loved animal blood while others just liked it, hated the the taste or didn't care one way or the other.

When the adults find out, the children were rounded up and finally was sentence the death sentence. There is more but they did escaped to other parts of the world waiting until it was safe to come home once more.
There are many things that I have ready to go for this RP. It would be a slice of life of a vampire kind.


Far into the future, people were interested in genetics and creating new species that were for pleasure. In fact there was a special lab that was doing just that. It was funded by the government. To get test subjects, the government would buy or steal children and take animals from the zoos. The ages of children were infants to 2 years old. Young enough that the test subjects could protest much. The animals were under 6 months.

The lab was a large underground place with just several places to enter or leave. Each area is section off from the rest in case of emergencies such as an experiment gone awry. Below is the map of the underground lab.

In this lab, scientists are trying to combine the DNA of the two subjects to make one living being. If successful, the scientist would study his/her creation. The government will only allow 2 creations per scientist. The scientist would live in the lab and will be solely responsible for the creation and it's care.


It is the year 2040 and the earth has gone into chaos. The rich keeps get richer while the poor keep getting poorer. There are too many people on Earth and not enough food to feed them. The air quality has gone bad to worse and almost nonexistent due to the lack of trees which were chopped down for paper and wood. Farmers are no longer and most of the food is manufactured synthetic environments such as greenhouses instead of grown in the fields and orchards. Water is more expensive then gas and gas is not always available so most of the world's population either walked or biked because the electric car is too expensive for the common people.

A group of scientists were debating over whether or not to go into space or underwater. They were split in half as to which way to go. The government would give the winning scientist team the go ahead if their prototype will work. Each team of scientists hurries and scurry about for they need to have prospective subjects to show how the new environment will work. They go out and scout out likely people to populate their new environment and prove to the government that theirs was the better choice.

You have been selected to be a participant in this set of experiments that will go awry though you have yet to know of this minor problem. You may have a character for each environment if you want.
Team Aqua was ready to head under water for the next 5 years.  The underwater domes have been made, supplied with all that could be needed and some of the comforts of home.  Each participant was allowed to bring a certain amount of personal property.  All of the participants have been fully trained in how to live under the ocean. The participants have said their goodbyes for the next 5 years and are on the ship heading for the spot far out into the ocean. It would take several days for the team to acclimate to their new environment. Prepared foods are waiting in their new home. In fact there were enough prepared foods for the next several weeks. After the meals are gone, the team was on their own.

Team Space was ready to travel to their new home. It would take several days to get there but the team would become acclimated as they traveled to the space station. The space station was already built and most of their personal belongings as well as supplies were already been sent to the station. All of the participants have been fully trained in how to live in space.  The team had said their goodbyes to their families and friends for they would not see them again for around 7 years. Now they are strapped in their seats, just waiting for the final countdown ……10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..blast off!


A new amusement park just opened up. It has many new rides and all of the old rides. Many people have been there several times but never been on all of the rides. The biggest ride is the Thriller Coaster. For that particular ride, you must reserve a spot for it is the highest, scariest and the longest ride in the world. The ride not only is outside but also has several houses to ride through. It takes a full hour to ride if you are able to make it to the end. Very few people are able to make it to the end however. Most people end up getting sick or needing to use the bathroom or some other ‘excuse’. 
In one of the houses, you have to literally get off the ride and walk through the area….. but no one returns from that house. No one at the ride even cares if someone doesn’t come back either. They are just doing their job.  If the riders become lost in the jungle  then they are pet food….
