This account is pretty inactive now. But I pop on from time to time to see if anything of interest pops up. I tend to drop out of things with writers block if I find myself lacking in interest, but do try to keep things long=term. Been offline for most of the last 12 months but hoping I might soon find something to get me back in that RP saddle.

Not bad, still here. Didn't want to post so soon after my last post though.
"A Pyro... and Aeromancer, interesting." Though interesting as it were this handshake was starting to get a little discomforting, and what was with that look? Jake was starting to get concerned for the retrieval of his own hand until Margie presented an opportunity for him to wrest it free without making it so blatantly forceful. "Likewise." He replies to Margie's greeting with a soft bow of his head, thankful for her interruption. Though tempting he resisted the urge to eavesdrop on yet another conversation as the announcement of orientation was made. Deciding not to take a seat but remain standing he leaned back as though to have the table support his weight.

Jake listened to the orientation, most of the rules were ones to be expected and Jake found himself lapsing between concentration and lack of as he watched the presentation. He raised the apple once more to his mouth to take a bite during the crunch of the fruit seeming somewhat louder since one of the professors was currently holding everyone's attention. Conscious of the fact, he slowly chewed the mouthful as he continued to listen.

No coconuts, due to an allergy. Now if nothing else that was worth making note of, a strange request but the reasoning for it seemed a sound one. Plus even if they were available in any store, coconuts weren't exactly a common purchase for most. There only seemed to be three professor's currently in the room, Lovette, Schippers and... well he wasn't sure who the third one was. Could said problem be related to one of those three perhaps? A weakness was a weakness regardless of its origin. Though most of the rules were pretty common, in a place like this it'd be hard to continuously enforce. After all most would rather not follow the rules then conform to them, natural rebellious behaviour if nothing else dictated that.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly throughout the presentation then the room allocations, accompanied by student names came up. "Aw, shit..." There it was his name written out with his room allocation. "Well see ya around." Jake spoke before heading over to the room keys not waiting or expecting any response. Once he had his key he looked around noticing that Professor Lovette was still in the room he headed over almost immediately after grabbing his key wearing on a smile on his face.

"Professor Lovette?" Jake as customary with any introduction he'd plan to make stuck out his hand toward the professor. "Jake... well no point not saying it now huh? Jake Lucshen." He reached up and adjusted his hood with his other hand which had shifted in his movement for his room key. "You said we're free to ask questions and I'd like to pose one if I may. I'm particularly interested in your response, being the history professor." Jake paused as if trying to find the best way to pose the question. "I understand that this may be difficult given your position... so, unofficially I guess? I'd like to ask your thoughts on the Lucshen?" As his intent was to ensure the conversation was just between himself and the professor he'd kept his voice down. "The contents, matters not so long as it's honest. After all I've first hand experience in painful opinion's." Jake shifts his hood again revealing the scar that marked one side of his face.

"Had I taken the sword..." Lance pops one of the candies in his mouth before continuing. "I believe he may of ended up losing that thieving hand." His tone was somewhat serious as he raised the swords sheath and slung its strap back over his shoulder. "Perhaps that'd an overreaction... or perhaps he'd learn something from it, who knows?"

Lance glances to their wolf companion. "So I knew you was good with animals, but what's up with this guy?" Ash just seemed to be contently following Tawny around like it was the most natural thing for a wolf to be doing.

Whoops my bad again >.< edited that out, it never happened. >.> <.<
Just dumped mine straight into CS from the previous board. Hope that's ok.

Smart ass, eh? Well could be worse I suppose. Plus given the context some might even consider it a compliment, but obviously on this occasion, not a compliment. The rebuttal seemed fair and hardly worthwhile being followed up on less he cause un-needed friction between himself and the staff, further than what was likely to already exist from any feeling bitter due to the war connection. As he thought on this Jake came to end of the meal he had gathered for himself. This was somewhat disappointing, did this mean having to mingle with the fellow students?

Just a Jake was about to make a move he saw the battle breaking professor grab another, who was likely serving a similar position at the school and pull them aside. A small frown on his face as he was unable to eavesdrop on whatever it may be they were talking about. "What strange behaviour..." With a sigh Jake got up from his seat sliding his plate onto the nearest flat surface as he made his way back over to the food table. "Missed?" Jake scans over the room with his eyes. "Not a whole lot unfortunately, rather uneventful so far. Although..." Jake points out the Norrevinter & Sterling pair. "You missed a dispute, rather minor one between those two. Though without the intrusions maybe they would of gone for each others throats."

Jake grabbed an apple from the fruit on offer as he tossed it lightly with his left hand and swiping it into the grip with his right as he rubbed it softly against his hoodie. "Lemme guess..." He points at the close pair before taking a bite of his apple. "Siblings?... at a push cousins, but I doubt that. Should never underestimate the bonds of family, there's a certain closeness to be observed." He smiles before continuing. "You will be a force to be reckoned with in combat classes. Even if you don't realise it right now. So long as you're not too heavily invested in sibling rivalry?"

"Names Jake, you'll have to forgive me I'm not a huge fan of family names. Words such as family names can dictate a persons actions. Like our squabbling duo from before for example, were they oblivious to their family ties would they really still hate each other?" Jake stops as he thinks to himself. "Apologies, sometimes I prattle on to much. As I was saying, Jake and you?" He finishes as he extends his free hand before taking another bite from the apple.

Sorry my bad :(
"Quite the bizarre method for making a choice." Lance chuckles as Tawny reveals her reason for picking a spear. "Won't be so pretty if you need to use it though." When Tawny gestured towards the stall Lance glances over as he listens to her comment. "Well I guess we can. I got this covered, back in a sec. Uh... maybe you should hold this for a sec, seems to be making people uneasy." Lance removes the sheathed weapon which he'd had slung over his shoulder resting its tip against the ground before leaning it toward Tawny.

Lance then made his way over to the vendor stand wearing a smile on his face as he gathered an assortment of the sweets on offer before swinging the coin purse into his hand opening it up. He peeps inside as he fetches a few of the coins from its contents before placing them down on the stall. Little surprise but he wasn't really sure of the value of the currency he'd tried to hand over. "Eh... enough?" He asks as he looks to the vendor, who simply shook his head. "More."
"Well alright..." Lance stated before handing over more of the coin. Although he had no comprehension of the currency the amount of coin he was handing over felt a little like he was being ripped off. "There you go."

Lance goes to take the goods and leave when the vendor reaches over and grabs his cuff shaking his head. "More." Was this vendor serious. Lance smiles as he leans forward toward the vendor. "Look, hehe..." Lance spoke softly as he looked back to Tawny still wearing a smile. He turned back to the vendor. "I may not understand the currency, but I do understand when someones trying to rip me off.
So here's the thing."
Lance's voice got quieter with each word. "You're gonna take your coin, and I'm gonna take what I purchased. You'll let go, or I'll snap your arm in two." Upon finishing Lance yanked his arm free as he took his purchase. "Thank you and good day." He walked over to Tawny still wearing his smile. "So should we head back?"
