I'm here. I'm just not as active on Saturdays and Sundays. Also trying to think up exactly what Ade is going to say. I wanted to see what everyone was gonna say OOCwise about it.
Your character could have a special wavelength that let's her calm down people's souls. You can make it offensive by forcefully removing a person's will to fight by taking the fire out of them. It would also be incredibly effective on madness because it would be purified.
I actually came up with something similar to that right after posting earlier.
As for techniques.
Soul bind: This technique focuses on the chain portion of the sickle, the blade shoots out swerving around in all directions before clasping tight around an object forcefully creating something akin to soul protect and leaving them vulnerable.
Barrier: The chain of your blade fires, stretching and circling around until it forms a barrier around you and your allies, the blade striking the ground and acting for the focal point for you and your meisters soul wavelength that expands and spreads through the chains, defending against the rage of madness and physical attacks.
Soul Resonance Phantom Blade Dance: By increasing the speed, your blade becomes many, each after-image is an illusion that can slice apart the enemies around you.
Human Form: Cassie is a light skinned young female with long brunette hair and caramel brown colored eyes. She is considered very beautiful by many and is 5'5" with a light build and lean muscles. Her attire is exactly as shown in the image with the difference of her skirt being longer to just above her knees.
Weapon Form:
Abilities- Madness Control: Cassie has the ability to siphon the madness from her meister, and utilize it in a constructive manner. Either by adding strength to her and her partners souls or boosting any physical attributes of the two.
Acrobatic: Cassie is very flexible and quick. She can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.
Halfway Transformation: Cassie can fight on her own because she has full control on which parts of her form into her weapon form and what part.
Stealth: Being along the lines of a shadow demon weapon, Cassie has trained proficiently in stealth.
Strong Soul: Cassie has an extremely powerful soul. No where near as good as Tsubaki but somewhat close.
Techniques- Soul bind: This technique focuses on the Kusari(chain) portion of the Kusarigama, the Kama(Sickle) shoots out swerving around in all directions before clasping tight around an object forcefully creating something akin to soul protect and leaving them vulnerable.
Barrier: The Kusari fires, stretching and circling around until it forms a barrier around you and your allies, the Kama striking the ground and acting as the focal point for you and your meisters soul wavelength that expands and spreads through the Kusari, defending against the rage of madness and physical attacks.
Soul Resonance Phantom Blade Dance: By increasing the speed, your Kama becomes many, each after-image is an illusion that can slice apart the enemies around you.
Equipment- Her only equipment is herself.
Personality- A special note to guys who think girls are confusing, this one takes it to a whole other level. Cassie has an extreme case of Bipolar Disorder which would usually just mean switching from some form of a depressive mood to a manic state. However, with Cassie it is much worse. Yes she can at times be depressed, but you wouldn't know it because she puts up a front. Also she does have her manic moments where she is bouncing off the walls with adrenaline, energy, you name it. She also has a third extreme mood she can experience. This third extreme is along the lines of the manic mood, but instead of associating it with happiness and joy this mood is associated with anger and rage.
All that said Cassie can be a really good friend. She is trustworthy, loyal, kind, and sweethearted. It's not her fault she has a chemical imbalance in her brain, and if anyone tries to insult her about her 'issues'. Well, let's just hope she is in her depressive mood when they do so.
History: Cassie's history is somewhat normal despite her mental illness. When she was born her mother gave her up for adoption. She grew up in the home of a very rich couple that spent a lot of time with her. When she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder they didn't abandon her and took even more time to spend with her.
Skip to a few years later and while at school her and her best friend become the targets of a few local bullies. It was really bad at times but they kept it hidden from everyone. However, one day when Cassie was in her manic aggressive state the bullies started taking it a little far. They started fighting her best friend and were beating him up really bad. Cassie's anger got the better of her and she jumped in and started fighting them when her arm suddenly changed into a Kusari with Fundo(iron weight) at the end. At first everyone was stunned, but the bullies then started attacking her friend again. Cassie then lashed out at the bullies with the Kusari and hit one right in the leg breaking it. The bullies grabbed their friend and ran.
Cassie started to run after them, but her friend grabbed her stopping her from chasing them down. The next few days her parents spent doing damage control trying to make sure Cassie didn't get in trouble. Cassie spent the time looking more into what she was. She learned as much as she could about Demon Weapons, Meisters, and the DWMA. Eventually she started asking her parents if she could attend the school. At first they were obviously wary because of her issue. However, they talked about it for a long time eventually coming to realize that she would need to learn to control her 'ability' and the best place to do it would be at the DWMA.
That there is her history. Not as fantastical as many, but she doesn't care. If she hadn't started from where she did she would probably not be in the same place as now. But as they say in the future (maybe) the rest is history.
This is mainly a WIP because I am having trouble figuring out what to do for abilities and techniques. Drawing a blank as of right now. Wanted to throw it up so I wouldn't forget about it. I already have a history and personality for the character just have to adapt it to fit this RP setting.
Photographic Reflexes = Alex has the ability of Photographic Reflexes. He wasn't born with this ability, but due to his healing factor Breytech tried implanting DNA in him. Among that DNA was Taskmaster's and it actually worked to give him the power. Alex now can copy any physical action that his body could naturally do. However, due to not naturally being born with this ability Alex can 'forget' how to do the move if he doesn't work to ingrain it into his muscle memory.
Superhuman Longevity = Just like most with a healing factor Alex also has a superhuman level of longevity. This causes him to, just like Wolverine and X-23, age slower during his young adult years and further on.
Regenerative Healing Factor = Alex has a very strong healing factor due to having DNA of Wolverine and X-23. When Breytech did tests on him they did something to increase the power at which Alex's body and mind can recover. It has not been attempted, but before escaping Alex overheard that some Breytech scientist believed that Alex had a better healing factor than Wolverine.
Animalistic Instincts = Similar to Wolverine and X-23, Alex has heightened senses in the form of various animals. He has faster reflexes, stronger sense of smell, better eyesight, and an innate sense of incoming danger. Alex has yet to train these senses to their peak potential so as of right now they feel more of a nuisance until he fully understands what he is sensing.
Hyper Speed = The only ability that Alex can call his own is his speed. Not quite the levels of those such as Quicksilver, but still faster than the average human if only a few MPH's higher. It was estimated that if he trained his speed that Alex could quite possibly reach Mach 1, but so far Alex has maxed out at 48 MPH.
A side note is that Alex is fairly intelligent. This is primarily because Breytech drilled various lessons into the boy's mind. He learned a lot and retained nearly all of it.
Weaknesses: He doesn't stand a chance against magic users. (Trust me on this one)
His mind is somewhat broken causing him to, at times react very slowly. Especially under heavy pressure or stress.
Doesn't work well with or not at all with people he doesn't trust, know, or like.
Usually fights without a plan unless on the hunt for a specific person.
Personality:
Untrusting: Alex has a hard time trusting people. It is extremely hard to gain his trust yet it is very easy to lose it.
Loyal: If one good thing was said about Alex it is he is loyal to a fault. He will stand by his allies no matter what. The only way to lose his loyalty is to harm him or someone else close to him.
Direct: Alex is not my any means of the term rude. He is just cold. He is blunt and straightforward. He rarely lets bias affect his decisions. The only time they do are in regards to people he dislikes.
Experience: About a year and two months.
Appearance:
His costume is currently just a hoodie that he wears.
Bio: At a young age Alex's life began fairly normal. His father died when he was young so he only knew of his mother, Laura, as his family. He was very close to every other kid at the Xavier Institute seeing many of them as family. When he was around seven his powers started to rise to the surface and he quickly began training. He was very good, but often slacked off whenever the X-Men left for a mission.
Within the next few years Alex began to hate being in the mansion all the time. He got extremely bored and just felt as if he was trapped. One day, when the X-Men were out on a mission, he and a few of the other teens ran off to have an adventure. They had planned a trip that would last a few months. Who could have guessed it would be much longer than that before they would make it home.
Breytech, a corporation that more recently started up, which unbeknownst to many kidnap, experiment, and use young mutants for their benefit finds this group of mutants and captures them. At this point they began experimenting on Alex by implanting DNA in him and altering the already preexisting DNA. They taught him various things and began attempting to brainwash him. This was very difficult due to the boys healing factor. The brainwashing was only partially successful. Most of what they had him do was assassinate the various enemies of the company.
Years later a mutant that they captured succeeded in tricking the company into thinking they had brainwashed him. This mutant had organized an escape plan getting a few of the mutants out in the process. Alex was one of the ones to escape.
Now Alex roams the streets of New York searching for any employees of Breytech and usually kills them. He occasionally fights against crime. It is more of whenever he feels like it.
Key Differences: Very brutal. Sorta like if Wolverine had the mindset of the Punisher. He doesn't care if he kills a bad guy. He does refuse to let an innocent be harmed in any way because of him.
Sample Story Arcs:
Prodigal Son - Gets found by the X-Men and brought/forced to come back. Maybe eventually leaves to join a new incarnation of the Brotherhood of Mutants.
Day of Reckoning - Breytech finds where Alex and the other escapees have gone and uses nearly all assets to capture or kill them.
The Power of a Movement - Many vigilantes across the city come together to protect the city from crime.(Pretty much just how in the Arrowverse a bunch of Vigilantes start coming out of the woodworks)
Supporting Characters:
The Good - X-Men, Various vigilantes/heroes in New York, The other escapees from Breytech.
The Bad - Breytech, Brotherhood of Mutants, J. Jonah Jameson the Fourth.
Other: Has an overbearing desire for revenge against Breytech. He has a weapon that is a collapsible kendo stick. Collects various weapons from those he fights.
So the claws skipped a generation. Does Alex regret not having claws?
He doesn't regret it. He's actually happy about it. Anything that makes him different makes him happy about it.
Based on my knowledge of Logan's abilities even if X-23 was sixteen when she became the Wolverine she would still be in her physical ass kicking prime. Logan was born around 1882-1885. He was over a century old, when he kicked the bucket. Laura is a baby considered to him. She can go on for numerous more decades.
It is not proven or disproven yet whether she has superhuman longevity or not, but the odds are that she does. Even if she didn't she'd probably still fight because of her abilities.
