Current Ever had that moment were you've just lost a battle of wills with your dog and think to yourself, "maybe I should be the one sleeping on the floor"? I have. It's oddly liberating.

My Lit Lecturer used Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run to display the effect of narratology in class today. It's the first thing he's spoken about all term that I've actually read.

How good is the Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil series? "Just some guys who are about to walk into a diner for the last time." That line is so manly it could make a toddler sprout a beard.

The Justice League trailer is giving me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I desperately want to get hyped. On the other, Snyder and co have burnt me too many times in the past. I'm a conflicted mess.

What? The Lethal Weapon tv show isn't utter garbage at all, instead being an enjoyable watch. What the fuck is the world coming to?

Red post will be up soonish.
I had a post written down here trying to explain my feelings on why I felt that rebooting is a bad idea, but I'm really not sure how successful it would have been. I'm frustrated by what I see, a willingness to nix all the development we've worked for just for a clean slate that we will no doubt fill up with the same problems we already have.

Call me jaded, but I don't think this is the right move to deal with the problems we have.

And no, this isn't because I'm so attached to the work we've done that I refuse to let it go. It's because I really can't get behind a hard reboot because that says to me we will always be susceptible to another hard reboot if things don't go our way again.

This might be churlish, but if we do reboot I wont be part of it.

Cheers, Sam.
I don't think a reboot is a good idea. Discussing that with KL now.
Well the entire 2020 shared universe has actually stalled some lately, and we're looking at a few different options to remedy that. I'll post a link, and all the interested parties can have a look and have their own say in the matter. Until then I'll keep you all posted.

I haven’t really been paying attention to the rule at all, and I think it should be nullified in general. Forcing someone to tell a story in that many posts is probably seen as a detriment; might be keeping people from joining the RP.

Agreed. It was stifling to work in such a constraint.
Next up we'll be writing out Freeflow in the final moments fighting the wingmen, then going up against that whale looking alien GL [if we wanna collect our money from the UP] for possession of the red ring. Everybody still around?

~KL~

To be honest that suits me. Much as I enjoyed writing Rane I just don't think I have the time to commit to this one if it started heating up again, not with what else I've got going at the minute.
That was what I was aiming for with this current mission against the League. I know the characters don't actually know why they are on the mission, but I was going to tease out the reason for that, one which would finally drive home the nail that Fenrir isn't fit for leadership, and eventually having us move on with a new leader.

Well in the last few days six players have responded, though Wraith might not be available. I think that's still enough people to keep this going, if everyone is committed to moving forwards.
Well I think the point that Sam is making here is that if people wanted the RP to continue they would just simply post in the IC as opposed to sit in the OOC and say "I want to post but..." I mean if enough of us post in the IC obviously the RP will continue.

This is exactly what I'm getting at.

However I know this has been languishing for a while, and it is difficult to jump straight back into a fight (I.E The battle against the League of Shadows) that has been hanging for almost a month. Maybe it would be worthwhile to do a timeskip, or a soft reboot?

Like I said before, I'm open to suggestions if people want to keep this going.

I am still very interested, I've just been getting absolutely rammed by real life and a wide variety of issues regarding the site.

But, if you think there's any point to it, I shall type up a post for Marcus.

Don't ask me if you should type up a post for your character, as that wasn't the point of my message. My point is that I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here. You, the players have to want to play, otherwise I, the GM, becomes little more than a nuisance to you all, constantly demanding attention you would rather be fixed elsewhere.

To me Rping should be an enjoyable experience, a hobby, a game, something you do of your own free will because you want to. It should never hit the stage where the GM has to pester the players into posting, because that just means they are no longer enjoying the experience like they should be. In that scenario we should just stop this crazy train.

Posting shouldn't be an obligation. It should be a privilege. So don't post because you've seen this message and think "Sam's wanting us to post, so I better fire on otherwise he'll bitch like a mother fucker", do it because "I enjoy this RP, my character, and interacting with the other players. I want to post." Anything else is just a waste of all our time, and I hate that.

This isn't a shot at you by the way Hillan, that's just my thoughts on the matter.
Right folks, I've got an announcement.

Since it is over two weeks since my last post and there's only been three replies I'm starting to feel extremely conflicted about keeping this going. On the one hand I enjoy the setting and the characters, but on the other I'm starting to wonder "Why bother?" At this stage I feel like I'm constantly pestering the players for posts, and I don't like that.

So I'm on the fence as too our next move. Either we can call it a day, say we had a good run and just declare Outsiders dead.

Or the players that are still here can reboot and restructure. If that's the road we choose then I'm willing to hear out suggestions as to how we do this, plot wise and such.

Anyway, let me know what you all think, because as things stand I don't think this is productive in the least.

Cheers, Sam.
