Over the past few days I've fallen in love with the Australian Ibis. It's technically a waterbird, but flocks of them have become urbanised where I live, and despite how big they are (turkey size) they're not particularly shy around humans- Whole families of them chill out around ponds, parks and landfills. I see them flying overhead alone or in groups pretty often, and they move around with a weirdly deliberate grace. Also aesthetically speaking they're basically living proof that Death once had an affair with an angel.
