If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

Monday — Morning — Hallway

Kat was putting himself back together, bit by bit, but being pulled away from the scene didn't seem to help overmuch. Even with his composure returning under a squint of unwanted tears, it was clear that leaving Rebecca effectively unattended stressed him. The catch of Dulac's eyes grated nails on his already brittle sense of danger. It was... not safe.
his duty to stay with the wounded

"Okay," he said finally, holding Keone's shoulder and giving it a brief squeeze, with what warmth he had, as if he wasn't the one being reassured. "It's okay. I see it now. I..." Kat looked up, squinting through the haze. He didn't see. He couldn't see at all. "What's going on? You know. You got hurt too, didn't you? I don't... know."

He couldn't see.

He couldn't see through all this rain.

"...Something's broken." Kat wiped his eyes. He never felt sorry for himself. He shouldn't. He was fine.

I'm not opposed to having Lei parent him herself too tbh. She and Promus are busy messing around in the water right now anyway. So we got options.

@Eviledd1984 PM me about it, we'll see what we can do.

A solemn wind disturbed a dune of stellar ash, sweeping dead stars, like dust, across the galactic sea. The thing that looked like a man gazed on, wishing it all away.

"Why?" said the thing that looked like a girl. "Why did we let it happen this way?"

"Because we were afraid," said the thing that looked like a man. "Because we wanted them to live, and never gave them room to breathe."

"Then let them have it," said the thing that looked like a girl, clenching her quivering hands into fists. "Let them have it all. Let them make this world their own; let no limits be upon them. Let them laugh and cry and hate. Let them go out there and be happy," said the thing that looked like a girl, laying her hands on the thing that impaled the man. "Set them free."

"You know not what you do."

"I don't care," said she.

The thing that looked like a girl wrenched the javelin from his chest and raised a great cry. Then she hurled it into the darkness, where it tore a wound so bright that quenched stars lit in its gaze, and she braced as the winds of dawn blazed against her, burning her, igniting the dune and the body and all the stars therein, blowing it apart and carrying its dust into a new galaxy.

She stretched her hands against the force of the wind, and felt a mass growing where the gale met her palms; and when the mass grew too great to hold back, she stretched out her other hand, and a smaller mass grew there; and when the gale overcame her they slipped from her palms and she tumbled back, laughing, as the two orbs spun one around the other.

As they fell into the cool distance, she grabbed the greater mass in her hands and twisted it; she felt it warm, and fizz. She clutched its warmth to her chest, and kissed it, and the moisture of her lips enveloped it.

And the thing that looked like a girl fell onto its surface, where the sun warmed her still, and she laughed, and her joy rose on the horizon in a hot, clean blue that covered the sky. She struck her palm at the ocean, and a plume of cyan entered it. Again and again she struck, dancing along the shore, until the sea was filled with life and oxygen.

Then she fell to her knees, exhausted.

"Take it!" said the thing that looked like a girl, laughing as the tears streaked down her face. "Come and take it all."

This RP was inspired by an OldGuild roleplay, named Divinus, GMed by ActRaiser. It found new life in the early summer of 2015 and developed tremendously as Divinus: They Deity Roleplay Mk.I. A new iteration, Mk.II, has since been and continues to be an astounding success. We would now like to launch a new version, reconfigured and refined for the Free Section.

@Eviledd1984 You're accepted, but please make sure to read the OP in detail, as well as at least two or so pages of the game so far. Try to keep up with the standard of effort we've seen so far.

You're free to ask for clarification if anything seems wonky to you. Note that the hero section is out of date and will be scrapped.

[@everyone else]

Turn has changed, you may regenerate Might according to your level and number of sanctuaries.

I'd also like to make something as clear as possible, given that it's lately caused some problems:

If you want something to be canon, you should write it.

Creation sheets and summaries are fine for writing details that don't fit in the prose. Implying minor details is fine too. Writing details as they become relevant is also, generally, fine. Don't sacrifice your prose for the sake of clarifying everything.

But if you want something done, you must do it, and if you want something created, you must create it. If you try to bring something up as canon that you haven't actually written about, you're liable to be overruled.

For example, in this post, Lasis created a species of insectoids to defend her holy site. They're created in two sentences and we know absolutely nothing about them other than what they look like and that they resist corruption. We don't know what they're called, what they're like, what they do, or how many there are. More importantly, none of them have actually done anything in the prose, even in non-speaking roles.

For now, this is fine. You don't need to flesh out a creation as soon as you create it! Sometimes you don't necessarily need to flesh it out at all.

But at the moment, because they're not anything in particular, they're also not disciples of Lasis in any appreciable way. I'm extremely disinclined to hand out 2.5 Might for a footnote.

Divinus is a very free-form game and every rule can be easily changed or bent when the time is right, but claiming Might without the required prose, or writing prose without the required stats, is both against the rules and against the spirit of the game.

Because it's the first time this has come up and because I've played with WrongEnd before, I'm going to let it slide. In the future, if you want rules to be relaxed for you, contact me about it. If you have questions or concerns, contact me about it. The you feel like the rules are bothering you or restricting your natural writing, contact me about it.

That's all.

Malkut folded his records and slowly stood. His desk was soon swept of its load by the sprites that attended him, and with a gentle gesture of the hand he lowered the edifice back into the floor as the little host filed his documents.

He returned with his lenses to the as-yet-unwritten library, selecting a new book, this time a large, thin pad for sketching. It was empty, like all the other books. Maybe some day.

The sprites brought him charcoal, and he extended one of the hovering lenses into a wide circle, through which shone the Frontier. He crossed his legs and hovered, sketching. It was important to record the vision of the river before it was settled. One day, someone might have an interest in looking back. One day.

A wet thud echoed through the temple.

"Welcome back."

Alto looked at him, pawing the heap of bog-trees and sand he'd dumped on Malkut's floor.

This was how Malkut received specimens for his growing museum of Galbar's history. The selection process was very random, but he was grateful for his brother's contribution, and tolerated the mess. He set about labelling the various branches and soils before they died. Alto stared at him with his big unblinking eyes. You got used to that.

"Is Mother well?"

"Last I saw, she was bathing in a pot of soup," said Alto.

Malkut looked at him.

Alto looked back.

"...Was it pumpkin soup?"

"No," said Alto. "It was cream of leek."

A long pause reigned.

"Oh," said Malkut, returning to his science. "I see."

@Eviledd1984 A few questions.

-Is his domain Mind (Memories) or Memories (Mind)? If his domain is Memories, what other portfolios would you consider taking under it?
-What kind of divine knowledge is he looking for?
-Do you intend to create his 'realm' as a separate plane or is looking through bubbles of memory just what he does?

Otherwise, the grammar somewhat patchy and I'm pretty sure he's more True Neutral than Good, given that he considers mortals to be playthings. Feel free to keep working on it though.
