Current So I'm not cool enough to do it, but I think a Pokemon based Nation RP would be cool. Jussayin.

Today is a day of sadness. It is the day I quit partaking of the drink of my lord and savior, Lord Coffee Bean. I shall be very grumpy for the next three weeks.

I'm all about that fantasy. I can mix it with other genres, such as sci-fi, slice of life, etc. but I generally stick to fantasy settings. As long as something supernatural or mystical is afoot, I'm interested. I generally like adventure, exploration, and conversation more than action and fighting in my roleplays as long as everyone is having a good time. I enjoy tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons, Scion, Dungeon World, and Ryuutama.

Just by-the-by, anything my character says/thinks in the RP has no reflection on how I feel about you/your characters. I'm finding reading all of it amusing, if a tad disjointed/janky at some moments.
Ambrosia liked the fact that Yuki was easy to get along with, and that Ved was always willing to lend a hand – especially when in comparison to Cash, who had taken off to who-knows-where, and Spencer, who thought it was a wise idea to make as much noise as possible when they should be laying low.

Instead of wasting time, she had sat down to inspect what she had brought back from their last trip and began divvying up the lot into individual sized portions to account for everyone's well-being (cans of soup, beef jerky, dehydrated vegetables, and bottles of water), and first aid equipment (bandages, antiseptic spray, and numbing cream for wounds). She was nearly done with it when Cash barreled back into camp with his new car, and she was about to ask Punch to come with her on her rounds to check the traps when the druggie started whipping his gun around.

“For fuck's sake...” She muttered under her breath. Honestly, he had no idea of conservation or rationality. Even if it was a joke, he pushed it too far. Ambrosia knew getting involved in the situation wasn't worth it, especially when Ved could deal with Cash more easily than anyone else here. Instead, she merely finished up divvying out the food and first aid kits, and then let out a whistle to catch their attention.

“If you're fucking done doing retarded shit, there's food and medicine here.” She pointed at the brown backpacks on the ground in front of her. There was enough for each person to take one, and enough food in each to last each person at least two weeks, if they didn't waste any. “You know the rules, one each. I'll be on my rounds. You wanna come with me, Punch?” She asked, scooping up one of the backpacks for herself and strapping it to her back. She knew the kid was jumpy, and offered him an escape route out of whatever the hell Cash had planned for him.

Bryan strode through the gates of the Rondorio Academy, her giant hammer, Judy, slung over one shoulder and a look of excitement on her face. She didn't have far to travel, but her oversized bag slung across her other shoulder could have fooled anyone – stuffed to the brim with all manner of things, one might have guessed she had come from far, far away to attend this Academy.

She had arrived just in time for the speech of the Headmaster – a man whom she had become familiar with during her family's dealings with Rondorio – and just shook her head in disbelief while she listened. He was always like that, but she knew he meant no harm... maybe. After the speech had ended, a large amount of chatter followed in it's place. Most of the chatter revolved around the perverted Headmaster, but it was quickly replaced with laughter and regular school-yard chatter: Do you want to room with me? I wonder if the classes are going to be hard? Where are the dorms, anyway?

Bryan smiled to herself, happy to finally be among other aspiring warriors, and continued about her way. Her eyes scanned through possible friends – a large dark skinned guy caught her attention. An extremely unusual sight to behold, especially in this area. Something about him, perhaps the fact that he seemed so interesting, sparked her to go introduce herself to him, but as she called out to him and waved, she accidentally bumped into Jin. In surprise, her grip loosened enough on her hammer, causing it to fall onto the ground behind her, which resulted in a resounding BOOM! as the pavement cracked beneath the weight of the hunk of metal. Several students nearby stopped and stared.

“Oh god, sorry, I'm such a dolt!” She apologized quickly, her cheeks flushing red beneath the hood pulled over her blonde hair. Despite her earnest apologies and embarrassment, she looked more angry than apologetic – perhaps due to her muscular body and tall stature. When she reached down to grab her hammer, still apologizing, “Sorry, so sorry, gah!”, her comically overstuffed bag swung violently behind her, towards Jin, threatening to knock him over if he didn't react in time.

When Cia came to greet him, Zeddicus beamed with delight – and then a horrified look spread across his face as the giant gorilla, Lucy, came barreling at him to give him her usual hug-and-tackle. Just in time, Zeddicus managed to leap-frog over the gorilla as she descended on where he had been just a moment ago, and landed lightly on the ground next to Cia. “Oh, yes, just... lovely! If only the rest of the female population felt the same way as Lucy...” His eyes became overcast with a dreamy expression as his mind wandered, then he shook himself out of it.

“My darling Cia, this year we have quite a promising collection of impressionable – I mean, capable! – young delicious flowers – I mean, students! – and I would love it if you could get some of them to join the Sports Club. We will be needing their bodies – I mean, talents! – honed to perfection for the tournament this year, it seems we will have quite the competition from the other Warrior Academies.” As he spoke, he glanced around, making sure that his assistant wasn't anywhere in the vicinity.

“Ahem, yes, as I was saying,” He continued, after confirming that the coast was clear. “Do you think you can handle it, my succulent orange blossom?”

@Cuccoruler

Elysia, a.k.a Mistress Ellie, looked ready to bludgeon nearby students as she marched to the main building. Zeddicus, that pompous, perverted old mongrel, had made his escape of her, but she had more important things to do than to chase him down. She could punish him later, after all.

Her responsibilities now were to make sure new students signed up for the clubs they were interested in, as well as to make sure they eventually found their way to the first year class, taught by a certain Miss Katherine Rosen. Who seemed to be late, which caused a vein to throb violently in Mistress Ellie's forehead. She stood in the large entryway of the main building, her feet planted squarely as she folded her arms, glaring at the all students who passed by. Many of the ones who avoided her completely were second years and beyond, while newer students finally came to ask her questions because they recognized her from the welcoming ceremony, if you could even manage to call it that. A debacle, at best, was what that was. And it was all thanks to that idiot, Zeddicus, that the event was ruined.

@BlackCat
Sorry if my post seems a bit like I'm ignoring all of the interaction between characters, but my character probably wouldn't give two flying fucks if a kid had a porn mag. It's not hurting him, or anyone else, so she'd probably just worry about other things.
Spencer's driving was horrendous, and she found herself making sure to check on the younger members of their party while simultaneously glaring daggers at the back of the hyper-active driver's head. If looks could kill, she could have probably killed Spencer a thousand times over. That was, until Cash brought out a porn mag.

"Whats the matter dear? Are you disappointed that i am giving this magazine more attention then you"

“Don't hold your breath on that one, you'll die of asphyxiation. Like one of those turkeys looking up into the rain. Be a damn embarrassing sight for you, I'd almost feel bad.” She retorted to his comment, hopping out of the jeep when it finally came to a stop at the camp and stretched her muscles. She didn't feel the need to try to yank the porn mag away from the youngest member of their group, the vagabond named Punch they had recently picked up and had been taking care of. If the magazine, no matter how inappropriate, motivated the child to read, it would be better than denying him it. It would be an important skill to have if they could manage to get their world back from the monsters that had been created. She held out hope for it, anyway.

“Don't make lewd insinuations towards the females of our group,” She pointed at Cash, then rounded on Spencer. “Your driving is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen, I'm done letting you chance our lives. Ved will take over next time, no discussion.” She didn't wait for a reply from either of the men before walking over to Yuki, and looking down at the girl.

“Yuki, mind taking a look at the jeep? Make sure nothing is broken?” Her voice was less harsh with Yuki than it was with the men. Being one of the few people there with any sort of mechanic experience, save perhaps Ved, made Yuki an integral part of making sure things ran smoothly and that their group didn't suffer horrific deaths because of a faulty break – which was now a very likely possibility, considering the way Spencer had been driving.

She ran her fingers through her raven-black hair, and glanced about the camp while waiting for Yuki to reply. There were so many things to take care of – so many things to check – that it seemed staggering. They had, or rather she had, set traps around the camp to alert them if anything was coming. Simple traps, fishing line with bits of metal attached that she had strung up between trees. If any of them were broken or displaced, they'd know that something – or someone – had been in the area recently. Precaution was everything, now that even the simplest of insects could chomp their body's in half with a single snip of their mandibles. Then there was food preparation. Her stomach rumbled, but she ignored it for now.

Name
Ambrosia “Amber” Fields

Age
30

Occupation BT
Ambrosia worked as a park ranger for the Yosemite National Park before the tragedy struck, and was in the front lines when the animals began mutating into horrific beasts. She barely escaped, and has scars – mental and physical – to show for it. She is exceptional at identifying animal tracks and edible plants from her years of working in Yosemite.

Personality
Ambrosia can be bossy, overbearing, and sarcastic. She has a deep seated sense of loyalty and responsibility for the other members in her group and assumes a self-appointed “protector” role, though she may never say so outloud. After all, she doesn't trust that druggie, Cash, with a bunch of young adult girls as far as she can throw him (though she often tries to look out for him too, in a roundabout way).

Weapons
Her crossbow, two machetes, and a couple of smaller knives.

Short Bio (optional)
To be discovered via roleplaying.

Other

  • She makes her own arrows, and can often be seen carving and fletching new ones even as she walks.
  • She has a fondness for candy, and will search for some pretty avidly whenever they venture close enough to gas stations, grocery stores, etc.
  • Will be speaking in this amber-ish color.

How do I put a laptop keyboard in rice?

Also I'm going to do my best to make post using my kindle and my iPad when I get it this Friday.

Ah sorry, didn't know that it was a laptop. That's quite a bit more complicated :/ You could still try placing the entire laptop in rice, or atleast try covering the bottom portion of it with rice. It's an idea, but it could work still. It's revived my mouse and my ipod a few times, so...

I'm sorry to hear that, @booksmusicanime. :/ Did you try putting it in some rice? It could help absorb the moisture and it -might- work... no promises. :/
