I just wonder how many of them will hit on the female members when drunk? That'll be interesting.
Also, on a side note, does anyone know how to make props, electronic circuits, or metalwork?

Actually what it is is that only powers that alter a persons body work underwater. Ace wouldn't turn into flame if he was struck, but puffy is still made of rubber. Lights body is not altered, she just heals. So she's fine to get wasted submerged. Also, Dani is used to getting drunk on a regular basis, so she could keep up with heavy drinkers like Hertha.
You know, I think this is where the effects of sea water on devil fruit users (And even sea prism stone) are really murky. Because there are lots and LOTS of instances of Luffy still having rubber powers when being affected by both of them. Since his whole body is rubber, this would also mean that all logias, ahving their bodies made up of something as well, would share in this ability, but they don't. So body changes don't seem to count, but fruit type. After all, chopper still stays in his semi human form when he hits the water, instead of turning into a reindeer like he should. So maybe only Zoan and Paramicia types keep their powers in water, and Logai lose them to offset a Logia's natural immunity to pretty much most things that aren't haki.

The former will not work, the latter will however. Though the latter will be remedied whenever the cuffs come off.
Only reason the former wont work is due to one standard the show/manga gave. Luffy was underwater in the Arlong arc for a mssively extended period, however his rubber powers still worked, which means all devil fruit powers work underwater, they're just not under the control of their users. Light's powers are completely passive with her having no say in when they work. This'll become apparent with her degen ability later on. lol. Though I might rename that to atrophy, that sounds like a better name, lol.

lol. Light is drinking age by US standards, only problem, her regeneration makes it so she can't get drunk no matter how much alcohol she drinks. Which basically means she can drink anyone under the table :P.

Well to be fair, even if they had no good skills, Luffy would invite an alien onto his ship in a hearbeat if said alien got along alright with everyone and gave luffy a box lunch. Or basically anyone he likes tbh.

Aye, it makes sense, the roles of the One Piece crew in the show don't have to be hard and fast, some spill over to other jobs can't hurt.
Pretty much, though remember that the One Piece crew didn't start out with a bunch of members right off the bat :P.
