# One Piece: Alternate Reality Welcome to the world of One Piece, where fruits give superpowers and the seas are the main method of travel. In the original world, you follow the Straw Hat pirates and their adventures through this strange world. However in this alternate reality, the Straw Hats don't exist, instaed we follow the tales of the <Name goes here> Pirates and their exploits. ----------------------------------------------- Basically this RP will be following the Straw Hat story, but with different characters and different powers. Who knows how things will turn out with such vastly different characters? Do note that where the characters go will be like the straw hats, but how the straw hats interact in such areas will not be followed. This also means that where the straw hats got another crew member, say, water 7, This RP crew may not get another member. The RP will also be starting in Loguetown, so everyone meats everyone else there. ----------------------------------------------- ### Rules 1. Don't Power or Godmod. If you have problems with trying to figure out how a character fight should go, bring the issue to me and we can decide on who should win. This also means very few auto hits will work on NPCs. 2. Don't be rude to others in the OOC 3. Post and update characters in the Character section after they've been accepted in the OOC. 4. People have 36 hours to post if their character is holding up the RP before I take control of them for a post to keep the RP moving. 5. Loguetown, the first step for many to the Grand Line and where the previous pirate king, Gol D Rodger, met his end at the gallows. Being so close to the Grand Line, Loguetown is noted to have more than just humans walking about. "Hm... Lots of marines here. Oh well, they don't know me yet at least." Light said, looking over the crowd she was in. Being a fishman, Light was a bit odd amongst humans, but unlike other fishman, she is often seen as cute and thus humans had very mixed reactions looking at her. Her devil fruit power probably went a long ways to helping with this, as it gave her a bit more of a cartoony and less detailed look. Staying away from main street, but still staying near the shops and bars, Light was on the hunt for things to begin her travel on the Grand Line, and maybe some recruits. While she hadn't made too much of a name for herself yet with the marines, the couple fights she had been in were notable, and if the marine captain she had beaten hadn't lost his lower jaw, the marines would probably be more alert. "Where is that blind lady? Hope they're having better luck at this than I am. I can only guess at what we need." Light said to herself, looking over some ship materials, making note of what to come back and grab when she was ready to set sail.

Well thats a good amount of interest. I think we should start somewhere in Loguetown, so we skip the first 5 straw hat recruitment arcs. Unless people really wanna do them? Reason being is that we can all be on the ship from the start instead of having people wait a week or so before they can join. What do you all think? I'll get an OOC up in a couple hours. If you don't like the idea of skipping the east blue arc, just let me know.

I'm fine with more players myself, depends on what the GM wants though.

Light  - snow white skin instead of pink - No cape - no gloves - Long dress with the front open, sorta will look like a trenchcoat with a tabard piece. - very small feet - Hair tentacles dyed blue - Cloths are blue/white - pointed, almost clawlike fingers - 1.7 meters tall Name: Light Age: 23 Race: Majin Gender: Female Power Level: 620 Stats Strength: 285 Speed: 105 Endurance: 200 Ki: 30 Techniques - Name: Void Touched - Type: ki (passive) - Description: Light leeches away the ki of whatever she touches, adding their energy to her own. Does not work on things that don't have ki. - Required Power Level: None, but its power does scale off of ki + strength level. 1/30th of strength, 1/10th of ki (her stats not the opponents) drained per second of her touching them. - Name: Fission Punch - Type: Combination - Description: Light channels crackling dark energy into her fist, dealing a considerable amount of damage to whatever she hits with it. (Basically a physical kamehameha) - Required Power Level: 200 Personality: Light is a smart, observant, playful person who values freedom. She likes to do whatever she wants if it brings her enjoyment, short of serious crimes. Her grip on reality isn't fully there, and due to this she will often play with her enemies unless they show little to no reaction to her playful nature, thus it is rare for her to get serious.Though if she does get serious, she is very good at finding enemy weaknesses. History: Light is an oddity for a Majin. instead of having the classical cotton candy tinted skin, either pink, green, blue, or yellow, she is pure white. She also has some sort of connection to the abyss, or so people who have fought her mention, noticing their vitality draining away as they fight her. Whether the two are related or not no one knows, not even her, but she could care less, being more interested in the joys of life than petty concerns as to her origin. This includes fighting, which she finds fun, as she is able to push herself as fast as she can go. She doesn't know much about her parents, and other majin look at her with either wonder or disdain, although the other races don't really see her any different from other majin, unless they are familiar with the race itself. Thus she tends to prefer the company of the other races. Other: She enjoys all kinds of food, not just candy, and can eat a lot.

How cliche would you say a story is where the characters basically go through the same arcs as the straw hats, or loosely around the same arcs, just changed depending on the characters handle everything? (Basically the straw hats don't exist, instead our characters take the place of the straw hats) If not I can make my own original thing too. and I'd be a fishman character. Though Rin, you can sorta guess who it'll be. lol.

Anyone interested in making a One Piece RP with me? I'm not 100% on what I wanna do with it minus the idea itself, so if anyone wants to help GM, that'd be great.

Light was with the group of fighters near the ring, heading over there when she heard the dragon balls were stolen. "Well, thats wonderful. Guess the tournament is over til they are recovered. Oh well." Light said. Some members of the audiance seemed to rush over to the group and introduce themselves. One a sayan and the other an alien. Light waited a bit for people to introduce themselves, Light saying hi in return. When she thought no more people were coming, she asked. "So... How long are we going to wait before we go look for the dragon balls? They can't be that hard to find. After all, the tournament found them in the first place, right?" Light paused a moment and thought, twirling one of her head tentacles before she noticed the sky hadn't gone dark yet. "Well whoever stole them didn't turn the sky dark or anything like the legends say. So they're still on the run. The longer we sit here, the more distance they get."

Welp, I learned what species of fish/amphibians to base Light off of, Axolotl and jellyfish, yay. Just with no tail. Seriously the Axolotl, which I just learned about, can regenerate any of its organs, including its brain. Isn't that strange?
