Blazermate decided to stay with Geralt and Ace to make sure they didn't get frostbite. She was cold herself, but coldness didn't really do much to her anyway unless she got frozen. And with Mokou's feathers helping warm up those two, Blazermate tried to use the same feather heat to help with her own chassis. Granted, she tried not to touch the two boys if she could help it as right now she was probably the tongue to a flagpole, well the flagpole itself with the cold water on her chassis. Eventually they'd heal up and continue onwards, with Blazermate giving them her buffs before they went to explore, staying back to rejuvenate the Randrix.

Sectonia meanwhile took Sandalphon's little mission to explore the previous area for a 'plushie' like the photo shown. Really she was looking for something of use they missed as they had to rush through the area, but a possible lead on whoever "M" is would be useful knowing these consuls. Now finding such a thing would be a lot more difficult and as such, she summoned some Ice antlers to run around the area to find a location that seemed close to what was show in the photo. Sectonia herself flying about looking for it from the sky.

While the Antlers didn't find the plushie, they did find a point of interest that was missed by everyone else. Some mandrills that were still alive and guarding a treasure chest. They'd inform Sectonia of that when they could, but first Sectonia would deal with the main mission with this 'M' letter. It took a while, but she eventually found the plushie in question and the letter itself in question within the thing. Granted, as Sectonia didn't care much for the plushie itself, she just cut its mouth open to get to the letter.

The letter itself was... fairly mundane all things considered.

and much to her annoyance, there wasn't anything about M. Just more mention of this alchemist and their parasites that seemed to animate or reanimate all the soulless creatures here. Before she returned to the stagecoach, she investigated the chest her Antlers had spotted and through a barrage of swords from both above and below, the mandrills protecting the chest weren't much of a problem. Inside the chest however was just some Quartz. Good looking Quartz that'd make some good windows, but quartz just the same. It was already pre cut though, so perhaps this was some kind of strange currency? Regardless, she could take this back to the stagecoach, as well as the letter itself.

Since Roland was new to Eseka, he'd need to find a way to make steady money. Well, as a fixer, he could just offer his services to do odd jobs around the town while waiting for tournaments; thats how things worked where he was from. But there was also the underground fighting rings that seemed to give decent payouts as well from what he had gathered. He'd try what he knew before trying something new, at least for now, and opened a small one man fixer office here. While in the City he'd have to go through tons of paperwork, here it seemed like he could just offer services and people would pay without the need to pay taxes or go through approval offices. That sped things up, but he was sure if the group spent more than a month here some repo man would come knocking looking for his cut of the profits no question.

Plus, by doing some odd jobs around the city of Eseka for whatever establishment he could get a job from, he'd learn more about the city, how it works, and what he could possibly use to exploit the system. Speaking of, he should probably go and find the other seekers and tell them of the underground fights he had learned about. Granted those that seemed to know Terry were probably in good hands there were a couple seekers that Roland was a bit concerned about. Considering how Pit acted during the conversation with the organization member, he might cause or be the cause of issues. City life really chewed up people like him. Also where was Jr. and Rika?

Sectonia kept her distance while dealing with Tom, especially after the alligator had managed to eat their main healer and witcher. As her spells didn't inflict friendly fire, she could keep throwing large rings of light at the alligator until she managed to get through it, but for now she'd have to provide what little healing she did with Death Pulse and avoid the alligator itself. She wasn't as worried about the two inside Tom once Sandalphon said they were still alive, as they were strong and would find their way out eventually.

As Sectonia summoned some more Antlers to distract Tom, what she thought would happen, happened. Although perhaps not to that degree... Tom seemed to have something happen to him and soon afterwords he spat out the two he had swallowed before retreating greatly injured. Whatever those two did, it was probably some nasty internal damage to let them escape.

Roland explored around the middle tiers, a bit surprised he was able to get in so easily. With how nice this place looked over the lower tiers, it was almost like Roland had stepped into a decent place to live. Although what really fascinated him was that people of the lower tiers could purchase places to stay here. Well, technically it was the same in the City, but Nest permits were very difficult to get your hands on in general even if you had tons of money. Granted he'd have to get a source of income here soon but apparently as part of dealing with the guardian he'd become loaded on top of it. Be nice to fully pay off that bar tab of his.

Eventually after looking around he found a place that stroked his fancy. Granted it wasn't all that difficult to find one that did, as everything here was pretty nice. The Silhouette Estates, a low key area with a fair amount of privacy apparently run by someone who tried to represent fighters who hadn't been able to make their debut yet. While the rent was low, this place was more temporary than anything and the apartments weren't all that big. But he was used to a single room apartment so that didn't bother him. The only stipulation was that if he won a tournament he had to advertise for them, but that wasn't too bad.

Blazermate was getting tired of the Mandrills everywhere. Without her zombie ball, she had to be a bit more defensive. While others dealt with them, Blazermate could hold her projectile shield up to protect at least one side from their attacks completely. Sectonia meanwhile could focus on the other side, summoning an Antler into their midst to cause some chaos while she rained swords from above and below. Really they weren't the big threat that showed up as the group made their journey through this menagerie of horrible experiments.

Instead the big threat that surfaced was a giant mean lizard surfacing from the nearby swamp. A foe that got everyone's attention. Being as large as it was, Sectonia had to start by summoning a golden antler to its side as Geralt, Edward, and Fujiwara, engaged with it. She'd start off by putting her Slow upon it to make its size more of a hindrance than a help and would be attacking it from the back as she had no reason to get super close to something that was bigger than her. Maybe when it was nearing death she could get close to scythe it, but for now she'd keep her distance.

Blazermate meanwhile went onto her healing duty as always. Granted as it was a single target there wasn't a whole lot she could do besides summon her engineer striker at mid range for him to start building his sentry, before healing whoever was engaging the creature using a mixture of her healing beam and her divine star projectile. Since she stayed at midrange from the creature, she saw when Geralt had tried something and failed with the creature leaping at him to swallow him whole. Well, Blazermate had something for that, and with a grabbing motion, she pulled Geralt to her with Leap of Faith, the massive jaws biting into nothing.

The creature then focused upon the Golden antler attacking its side with its hefty mace spinning to snap at it. As it did so, Blazermate moved to banish the antler, making the snap miss as the antler was held in a dark sphere for a few seconds. Once the effect ended, three golden antlers, two illusions and the real one, now began to beat the creature's head for a few moments until it recollected itself and spun around to whip them with its colossal tail, taking out the illusions and making the antler's shield fly out of it hands.

Blazermate did wonder how tough this creature was though. It wasn't a guardian or anything, and while it was large it was being attacked from all sides by all manner of attacks and wouldn't last long. Especially if her engineer striker managed to fully upgrade his sentry, being able to upgrade it without any harassment so far thanks to everyone else engaging with the beast and keeping it busy.

Roland wasn't all that happy with his interaction with the organization member, but he did confirm a few things. Roxas was right, they were stubborn and annoying to get any clear answers out of, but that didn't mean he couldn't get anything even from someone stonewalling like this Xilgrev did. Although knowing who this man was before the whole change into a 'nobody' thing, if that is what happened and these people not just taking the name of a cabal Roxas knew. Well, he did mention that organization names were their previous name jumbled with an X in it. Ah, if only his co workers at the library were here, they could figure out this anagram instantly. There was an infinite amount of names and even if one sounded weird, it could be the actual name for all he knew.

Harry had taken to Roland's story thinking things were bad just off that. While Pit was concerned about it much like Roland thought, there wasn't much to be done. He figured that story was pretty lighthearted all things considered, but apparently even a simple story like that was downright horrific to these people. Were they all raised in an equivalent of a 'nest'? "Uh, thanks. I wasn't really trying to go for pity with that one though. That was one of my more lighthearted stories. There aren't many I can say over dinner." he said. Then the question of magic was asked with Zenkichi gave his explanation. Roland then gave his.

"It... really depends on what you say is magic. Yes it does, but at the same time it doesn't. We have these things called 'singularities' owned by one of the major corporations of the city, or a wing as we call them. They allow you to break all laws of physics through various methods like K corp able to heal anything including death as long as you got the money and the brain is at least somewhat intact. T corp being able to package and use time in nearly any method. M corp giving out devices that make you completely immune to psionics and psychic attacks, soul attacks, and cognitohazards. J corp able to lock and unlock anything even concepts... yeah. But then we also have Distortions which are really complicated but people who distort can sometimes use magic. There was a guy named Pluto who could do anything to someone if they broke one of his contracts and who had access to all sorts of weird energy attacks that used runes. They were really hard to deflect." Roland went on. He stopped there, but the way he did made everyone feel like there was a lot more he could say if prompted.

As Zenkichi thanked Terry for the restaurant location they had all partaken in, Roland agreed. "Always good to get a tour from a local about the local places." Granted, this went out the window when you were in district 23, but district 23 this town was not. Soon plans were figured out on what they'd do. While Sakura had an idea, Roland decided to go with Band and Zenkichi instead. "While I might not be a 'cop' like these two, what they are looking to do sounds right up my alley." Fixer work from the outside could be seen as cop work, but it was much, much more than that. It was anything from rescuing cats from trees to security to making contracts to breaking up terrors of the city... just as long as you got paid for the job. And his specialty was intelligence gathering.

"I've already gained a bit of intel about this city already. I can reshare what I know so we can get an idea of where to look next." Roland said, moving with the two to investigate the city.

Blazermate, having been controlling the ever growing zombie meatball, was informed that the Raindrix hauling the stage coach were getting weary of the giant zombie. It was getting big after all, and it was getting spooky. Maybe it was time to get rid of it? She'd prefer not to, but maybe if the zombie got really big her shield wouldn't command it anymore? Well, she could always build up another one. So when Sandalphon informed her of something in front of the stage coach, alongside Edward's idea to keep the zombie in front of them, Blazermate said. "Oh, if theres something down there, I'll send my zombie down to investigate." and with that, Blazermate told her meatball to roll down into the basin and investigate what was down below. Granted with how slow it was, Ace would probably figure things out long before it got there. Perhaps they could just leave it there... its not like it could roll itself out very easily. Although that being said, she was sure Sandalphon or Sectonia would want to smite the thing themselves. They were free to do so if they wanted once it was stuck.

Sectonia meanwhile was looking around for more points of interest and while some caught her eye, they were pretty far away. She could investigate or point them out later, depending on where the stage coach was going. But for the mean time, she stood guard over it. She overheard the conversation Sandalphon and Ganondorf were having, being partially in the stage coach at the time. While she couldn't really add too much about the power of undeath, as she had very little interest in raising the dead, she could add her own little anecdote to the whole conversation. "What Mobeius does to extend their lives is quite negligent. The core principle; leaching off the life of others to extend ones own, is sound. The problem is the wanton abuse and destructive nature of how they go about it. If the world didn't supply them with an infinitely respawning mechanism, they'd destroy the world and themselves given enough time."

While she wouldn't outright say that Sectonia herself extended her life and those loyal to her using this method, she knew that you could do so in such a way that your subjects never knew or cared. "Even if we have 10 years, and that was all funneled into a flame clock, with how much fighting goes on it seems like the way mobieus does things is incredibly inefficient." She herself had mostly perfected this method, and could make a lot out of very little. No subject would be against losing a single year of their lifespan when that year would be when they were old and unable to do anything but sit and wait for death, but she supposed Mobeius having nearly infinite resources in their eyes didn't care about such things as efficiency or reviewability or stability.

An Organization member just... dropping in to get a bite? And just clarifying things in one fell swoop? And with everyone around not seemingly as on edge as they would be for a Consul or someone else. What was actually going on here? Roland could tell from looking at them, they had some goal that was different from the seekers, but it in a way relied on the seekers to accomplish theirs. A backstab waiting to happen perhaps, but while they were in a helpful mood Roland would chat them up to get a few questions answered. He did try to scope out what was assumed to be their main headquarters with no luck and only got a vague mention of the area, but with one in front of him perhaps he could get information about themselves specifically.

"This is my first time meeting one of you. I've heard about you organization 13 members though. I've got a question, how are you different from the Consuls? The way you talk, you seem to have some sort of existence much like them but far different goals and allegiances."

Though his face remained hidden, the stranger's incredulous look can be felt. "I struggle to imagine how you came to that conclusion. We have no affiliation with Galeem whatsoever; we are not bound in thrall to it or its system, and we do not require lifelight to live." His tone turned particularly flat and curt, as if to indicate something that ought to be obvious. "I'd think that disparate goals and allegiance make a world of difference."

"An enigmatic group that has been around for awhile knowing things about the world no one else knows. You can't help a guy being suspicious." Roland said, putting on a friendly but 'can you blame me?' sorta tone. While his job wasn't 'detective' like Band, intelligence gathering and processing was more or less the same sort of job.

"So, how'd you manage that? Being free from the whole lifelight." Roland said, asking the obvious followup question with genuine curiosity.

The Organization member shook his head with an irate click of his tongue. "Use your imagination."

"Can't say that I know. Unless you use flame clocks too." Roland said. He did know a bit about what Roxas said, with him calling them 'nobodies', but he'd like to get his information from multiple sources or at the very least see how they'd spin things. "All I know is that its something called a 'nobody', but outside of the name I don't really know what it means. Seems like an offensive name to give someone. Like, everyone is a nobody to everyone before they meet others, why would you just say a group of people are 'nobodies'?"

"My sympathies," the stranger told him before taking a sip of water, clearly not interested in elucidating the term's definition for Roland.

Clearly not the talking type. Or the clarifying type. Well, it was time to change tact then, but that'll be much more varied and random on what info he'd get. With a shrug, Roland dropped the topic. "So. If your going to enjoy a meal with us, got any interesting stories to tell? It'll be a bit before our food is here."

The man stared down at the pizza slice he'd been slowly and delicately carving into bite-sized pieces. "I don't recall enjoying the meal," he snarked. He then looked at Roland. "Since you're so eager to chat, why don't you share an anecdote or two?"

Roland thought about that, and maybe he had something that'd strike a chord. Having dealt with this member for such a short amount of time, something was very familiar with them that the other seekers didn't have. Well, maybe that'd be revealed in time by them, what did Angela call it, the "disease of the soul" or something. Roland had very little knowledge on the matter, only that it was what afflicted the people of the City.

"So, are you from my world, from The City? You act just as impassioned as anyone in the city." Roland said, noting his thought process. "If you are, I get it man."

After a moment, the Organization member replied simply, "No."

"Hm... Well, I guess the City exists in other worlds as well." Wait... Could parts of the City be in their home base? If so... That'd be... Well, Roland wouldn't know if that would be bad or good to be honest. "If that is the case, its pretty sickening to think about. Especially with what is apparently needed to 'fix' places like that."

Waiting for a bit, with no replies, Roland knew what or who he was dealing with at the very least. A middle of the ladder member of this organization with no pride or arrogance in anything but perhaps their own silence. A professional with no emotions... Essentially a calculator. Not a machine, something less than that, and well, there wouldn't be much he'd get from him. Maybe the others could get something, but Roland wasn't sure of how much substance they'd get.

"I've got another story for everyone while we wait, the story of the Demi-Glazed sauce. It was an Urban Nightmare level case. Apparently these cooks had managed to make this sauce that tasted so good it gave people almost religious like clarity and epiphanies. Granted they all didn't turn out super well, but it gained a notorious reputation. So I took the job with a partner and well... I guess we never learned what made it taste so good. You would think it was drugs or something, but no, it wasn't. We'd have figured those out right away if they were. If I had to guess it was probably angel wings or something by the name which is pretty illegal on its own. I tried to get a taste to see, but well, I never got the chance." Roland then continued the story, giving a few details here and there to make things entertaining, but also trying to keep it lighthearted. Granted when he mentioned his theory, he wondered what Pit thought, being an actual angel and everything.

After some time, Roland's food arrived. He had ordered the chef special, Lomo Saltado - diced filet mignon, smoked cherry tomatoes, onions, red wine vinegar, ajiamarilllo peppers, au jus, roasted garlic, Maggi, potato medley, topped withcrispy potato strings served with jasmine rice + aji verde on side. Roland was a foodie, and he liked when he got access to food made with passion. Well, as long it was food and not... district 23's version of food.

Roland was a late arrival at the meetup place, dropping into the current conversation between Nadia, Band, Zenkichi, Richard, Terry, and everyone. So much so he only caught the tail end of what Zenkichi said. "For one, the people here are on an average combat level much higher, and things are much more organized. Add in some nebulous magic and that should be a plan B, not plan A. At least not until we learn how the heavenly kings control things. It wont be as simple as 'politician with political power, but no actual combat prowess' like it was in Midgar." Roland said, shutting down that plan right away as he moved to grab a seat and grab some grub.

"I'm not sure which tournament I'll be in, but I heard something about Tekken. Granted I'm not too fussed about any of them. The mortal kombat tournament is more or less what I did every day. What did you all choose?" With that, Roland engaged in chit chats with everyone while he waited for his food.

Blazermate, having gathered quite the mass of zombie animal parts, was now having fun messing around with them with the hostiles in the area cleared out. All this while Heismay came to the group having found another person named Erik and some weird items informing everyone that the animals reanimated when they died. Blazermate giggled when he said that, saying. "Yep! They did here too! In fact they're over there!" Blazermate said, pointing at the mass of animal parts that was now trying to do an animated dance, bits and pieces flopping off and merging with the mass as it tried to follow Blazermate's instructions. "Its been awhile since I've seen actual zombies I can control again. Most are either too smart or are like, not actually zombies but something else."

As she was 'playing' with her new massive zombie, Sectonia took a look at the stuff Heismay and Erik brought at their request, telling them what she could figure out about them. None of them were all that interesting, and the one that she really disliked, the Ratshaker, Edward couldn't even disenchant to make into a useful item! While she was doing this, Blazermate was informed that there was a bit of a blockage on the other side of the door that she could probably clear up being the only flier small and agile enough to go through the windows to the north and get behind the door to clear it up. Having charged her shield she decided to give it a go, telling her zombie to stay still until she got back.

As she made her way around and behind the door, she found a bunch of growths around it. Well, her shield would deal with them and she deployed it. While the shield did indeed take out the growths, they'd also explode when destroyed. And that'd be bad for anyone else, but Blazermate's shield would stop the explosions from going through especially when they started to have a big chain reaction when one exploded, causing the others to explode. And once the growths were cleared, the door could be opened by the seekers on the other side, although being heavy, it'd take a collective effort to open them.

When the door opened, the team could get their first good look at the zoo proper. From the outset, it was clear that a blanket of winter snow was insufficient to hide the devastation that had befallen the place. Ahead of them lay a large open area bifurcated by the manmade river of what had once surely been a beautiful aquatic exhibit, where zoo guests standing on the boardwalk or perimeter of the central plaza could look down at frolicking seals or otters without fences to obstruct their views. Now, though, it lay drained, frozen, and littered with debris. More cages could be seen around the plaza itself, with additional mandrills imprisoned inside, though for how long one could never be sure.

The Midnight Walk led along the boardwalk to the right, where an arched metal footbridge spanned the widest, deepest part of the exhibit. Even from here, though, the Seekers could tell the bridge was broken, and while pretty much all of them could just jump across the gap, the same could not be said for the stagecoach. In fact, the enormous vehicle was much too wide and heavy to embark upon the bridge at all. For the Seekers' ride there seemed to be no way to continue along the Midnight Walk, at least without a little improvisation.

Well, Sectonia had something for just that. With some silent vocalization of a spell, waving her hands above her and a bit of focus, she summoned a giant portal that a crystal platform came from that filled the gap. Next was the mandrills inside the cages who, having seen what was basically new prey enter, were trying to bust out and attack the seekers. Seeing this, Sectonia summoned some Antlers to deal with them and the Antlers held the cages shut as best as they could... until Blazermate's giant zombie meatball from the previous room lumbered in at its masters call and rolled its way to the mandrill cages crushing them and basically 'absorbing' the mandrills and the antlers into the mass of limbs and bits. Being big, it was not a fast processes with the crunching of metal and the screams of the mandrills could be heard before all that was left was the moaning sounds of whatever in the meatball could make sounds.

"Wow. Would all of our fights go like this if things didn't poof into spirits? Just turn the previous things into a giant meatball and roll over everything? That'd make things so much easier!" Blazermate said, probably a little too excited in the destruction she was causing as she conducted the zombie meatball to roll over and crush each cage, antlers doing what they could to keep the mandrills in them before their time came. Although not all cages could be held closed, and while some did escape, Blazermate used her zombie meatball to chase them around like something out of a horror movie.

While a bit distressing to look at, Sectonia knew that eventually Blazermate would cleanse the huge ugly ball she made or allow someone else to cleanse it later and instead looked around for something of interest. A bit hidden, but near the entrance of where they entered was a door partly covered by moss and made to blend in with the exhibit. While a door was in the way that seemed to open via a scanner, unlike the previous door it was much more flimsy and with a blast of magic, the door was thrown from its hinges and crashed itself into the office that it revealed. Apparently this was a staff center that controlled and monitored this area, but since it was made for people of much smaller and less grand stature as Sectonia or her antlers, she instead informed the other seekers of the office for one of them to investigate instead.

Having used her new powers to find and manipulate useful ores in the earth, Sectonia pulled a fair amount of coal and iron from the earth and with Ed's armory access, placed it into the Avenger. She then spent the next fair amount of time resting, not really interested in the other goings on of what was happening until some Reavers attacked the coach, which she defended with her magic, Antlers and support from Blazermate and Sandalphon, with some help from Ganondorf.

As they continued, they came across another place called the Hall of Adventure where mutant, almost corpse looking animals patrolled about in a place called the Krat Zoo. While Blazermate would like to go look for things with the others, first they had to get rid of all these hostile creatures and as such, she began to overheal people and stay out of the way of these things. Sectonia, not wanting to get into range of them either, used her ranged magic and her antlers as a buffer between the seekers and these creatures. Although even her Rings of Light weren't all that final here, as even cut apart, these things still moved. Her Antlers did some work themselves, smashing or bashing things that got near with their maces and shields, but these things wouldn't stay down unless they were completely annihilated. This would soon be an advantage of the seekers though.

As Sectonia's Antlers and her own spells sliced up or smashed some of the mutated animal corpses and their bits started to reanimate, Blazermate got an idea. She used her suffering shield's ability to manipulate the undead to see if it worked, and it did! While these bits of various animals had various but less effective powers over the whole, she could use these reanimated parts to distract or possibly overwhelm another mutant, adding another corpse to her zombie horde as they fell. This in turn made things easier for Sectonia or the other seekers to push into the mutants, and at some point either there would be a mass accumulation of parts that would make more than they lost, or the place would be cleared out. Either way, as the fight went on, it got easier and easier as more and more reanimated mutant bits joined the Seeker's side thanks to Blazermate, even though the ability was quite ghastly.

"Hopefully once this is all cleared out we can go looking for things. We'll have an army of... well... not saying I'm happy about it but an 'army' to protect us for a little while as well." Blazermate said, having to give uniform orders to everything at a point as there were lots of bits to command all at once.

Joining a dojo... Well, Roland had found one he was vaguely interested in so might as well get that done. Often Fixers swapped offices as they went up in grades, so this would just be that but hopefully much faster. As such, he entered the dojo Last Bronx. While he wasn't expecting much, this place looked much like a nicer backstreets establishment but still less than a low grade fixer office or workshop.

Applying for a spot in this dojo was more straightforward than Roland figured, but also a bit different than he figured. Instead of having him fight someone to join, they did something more akin to what a fixer office would have you do... well, after the paperwork was done. They had him do a little task for them. It was picking up some weapons for them from outside the city, something he could do as the guards of Eseka wouldn't recognize Roland as he came and went, but it was odd that they didn't go pick up these 'critical tournament weapons', but once Roland got his hands on them and seeing they were molotvs, switchblades, and other stuff like that, perhaps they didn't want to be seen bringing in such things? That or smuggling them in could be illegal or something.

Regardless, Roland did his job and got his spot in the dojo. And unlike the people here, he didn't have any need for these weapons. Really he wasn't sure how he'd use most of these as his weapons were just better.

After giving her information and watching as the others were getting ready to leave, something was nagging at Sectonia. IT was... something that she saw during her tour with Papyrus, but with how fast he was rushing her through town, it took a bit before she remembered. At the center of town, hidden by a lot of snow and the dark, she found the Christmas tree that Papyrus pointed out was at the center of town with gifts underneath it. There was something else odd about this tree though, and as Sectonia investigated, she saw what that strange thing was... a Flame Clock! Well, a small flame clock anyway. Mostly drained, she made note of its size and tried picking it up to study later. However she'd find the clock was unmovable, and with her new ability to sense and manipulate minerals in the earth, she could tell that this clock wouldn't move without a proper spell. A shame, but they knew the location of another one.

Christmas was something she was aware of, even on Popstar it was celebrated. So she knew the custom. And while she could just take all the gifts, as she opened up the first one and found a simple compass, she was pretty convinced these were nick nacks instead of items of great power. So she followed the custom, refilling the box with a beautiful conjured crystal that could be worked into various things. Not saying a compass was bad, but with no concept of what was north and south, it could be not as useful as it should be? Edward would probably find use for it though.

Blazermate meanwhile, after picking up the spirits of the robot zombies she had slain, went back with everyone to get ready to move out. She'd ask Edward to store these in the Avenger for now, or crush them if he needed to. Having gone on her little errand, Sectonia came back, making note of the store run by Minshu, perhaps they could come back so she could browse his wares. With everyone ready, the moved out.

As the group moved through the wilderness, Sectonia's new ability to sense valuable minerals went off as they passed by an area. It was populated by coal and iron ore, which while not beautiful, she knew could be used to make Steel. Steel was very useful, even if it wouldn't contribute to beauty, and the coal could be used for fires otherwise. Pointing it out as she could now sense such things, she was curious if anyone else would 'assist' her with mining it. Although in her case, it was more mining with magic than a physical pickaxe. Regardless, she'd keep her physical labor to a minimum by using her Antlers to secure the area and move things that weren't all that important. Two gold antlers being the bruisers of the area made things easier as when a Coal Tar decided to take a look at what was disturbing its home, it was quickly bonked by maces bigger than it as the golden antlers defended their queens operations.

Roland too a bit to get back to everyone as gathering intelligence took some time. As such, he bumped into the group after Terry had made his introductions. "Phew, for a town where advancement is based on fighting, getting intelligence here was a bit more complicated than I thought." Roland said, appearing out of seemingly nowhere and slipping into the group. He told them all the things he had learned, most of which they had already known thanks to Terry, Kim and Harry. However the name of some of the dojos and groups or even fighters might be of interest to them. Meanwhile he was told of the limited time to sign up for a low tier dojo and getting into a tournament.

"Oh! Well, so its like we have to rank up like Fixers. I mean, I've been at the bottom before, I know how it is. Lets hope it goes faster than actually going up Fixer grades." Roland said, almost relieved that things were quite simple. Although with all the fighting styles and dojos, he'd need to find one that was more based on weapons and such instead of hand to hand fighting. He was just hoping that didn't put him on the Mortal Kombat track. While he wasn't new to fighting for his life every day, he'd much prefer to not have to do that. He decided to go with Nadia's group, as Pit's group was a bit too big with all the people seemingly knowing each other.

Moving with Nadia's group, Roland had to find a dojo that worked for him. A lot of them were hand to hand combat based, but he did find a couple weapon ones such as WeaponLord, which seemed to be about old styled weaponry. While not something unheard of in the City, it lacked the ability to use guns and more high tech melee weapons that he had. He then found a dojo that fitted him well, Last Bronx, a street brawling type of dojo that used a lot of the weapons he used. It was almost at place with the City... if it wasn't so nice and neat. He'd have to sign up for something using them.

Seeing the 'guardians' at the entrance to Eseka as he got in reminded Roland of a much less extreme version of what he was used to, something he has been trying to get used to. Much like before, as it seemed some of the seekers were noticed as 'fighters' in this city by some of its citizens, Roland decided to go and grab some information to learn how this city worked and how they'd go about finding the Guardian.

Being inside the city itself, things were easier to find here. Much like he thought, fighting was the way to go up in the social standing here. Although HOW people went up the standing was a bit more nuanced than he thought it'd be. While winning a tournament was the best way to go up the tiers, as long as you made the top 24 of a tournament you'd have some upward mobility with top 8 being a bigger jump after that, and winning being a huge bump.

Then there were tournaments sponsored by the four kings of the city, those being Bison, Rugal, Shao Khan, and Heihachi. Some had slightly different rules than the standard tournament, with Shao Khan's being the most popular, but the lowest fighter participation tournament type. Speaking of fighting and tournaments, it seems the matches would end when someone was in a critical state instead of being fully defeated. However there were the occasional deaths, with the winner owning the losers spirit. In the case of any tournament run by Shao Khan though, all matches were supposed to be to the death with massive penalties for showing mercy. Although his tournaments gave massive rewards to compensate for such a risk.

Although one couldn't make a living in this city as a fighter alone unless they constantly placed well enough to be in the top tier of the city and could run their own dojo and many of the lower tiered fighters had to work day jobs from what Roland could see. Even so, the amenities here were better than what midgar had for the lower tiers, but worse than the tip top of midgar. Things were a lore more... close together in the class divide which made sense since there was always upward motion available.

When looking at the dojos, he saw some names that seemed to be big such as Zangief, Leos, Ermac, Annie, girl of the stars, and a few others. While not directly owning a dojo, Zengief and Ken seemingly co owning a dojo alongside a few others named the World Warriors with other dojos having names such as NMO, Guilty Gear, Shaolin, and the like. All together this place gave Roland the feeling that this place was run by the Middle, a bunch of martial artists beating people up, something he was all too familiar dealing with. But some fighters also specialize in weaponry, which was something Roland was hoping he'd see as he wasn't an unarmed fighter like some of the others. Granted a hat that turned into a buzzsaw that you threw or a mop were kind of impractical.

After gathering his info, Roland made his way back to the seekers who hadn't split up to explore the town yet and informed them on all of this. "Seems to be a varied mix of fighters. From creatures to ninjas to buff men to idols. Honestly that last one confuses me unless they have K corp like healing facilities here. All fighting styles seem to be allowed, just be wary of any tournaments sponsored by Shao Khan unless your really confident as only fighters confident enough to risk their lives for glory are going to be there."
