Want to open up my first Roleplay, need some help though

Here you have a little more control and a community that's better with what you described. Railroading is frowned upon, but if you shift people to a natural course and keep things fresh, you should be able to move just fine. Keep people active and make sure they are engaged; a week without posts either IC or OOC isn't a good thing. I suggest you learn how the guild at large works and read up a little on multiple other roleplays first, and ask perhaps advice from some GM's you find inspirational text from. I might be able to find a few folks who would be willing to give some tips to ya. To keep an interesting story line... plot twists, a clear goal, unity in how things operate and a clear end in some cases should keep things going.

Visual elements to enhance RPs

so, if you just use words, why do you post in a discussion about using more than words, about using visual elements to add to your words, @Vilageidiotx?

@Foster, nice expansion on images. That adds to some of what we wrote nicely.

Finding the "right" image is always a struggle. Sometimes a character concept can end up on the shelf because the images cant be found, or more often, an image is shelved because the character worthy of it doesn't reveal itself.

It's been more than once that I have omitted images altogether for lack of finding the right one.
