Chris nods as he understands. "I just wanted to help." He puts out his hand to shake James's hand. "My name is Chris, and you must be James. It's nice to meet you and hope you have a good time here at camp."James shook his hand and simply nodded, as if to return his greeting.
James knows the consequences. Because they tried it once, using Ashlyn's music. And it almost killed him.
Ashlyn blushed brighter as Chris said she was cute again. When he went over and asked James if he could help, James shook his head. He'd grown used to not talking.
Eh, he's used to it. Besides, cutting off that much power at once could have disastrous consequences.
Ashlyn blushed as he said she was cuter, then looked at him. "No. He can't. His power automatically activates every time he talks. He gets a sore throat really often though, because there's so much power flowing past his throat at once."
Chris chuckles as he hears it and smiles at her. "Well then I guess I can call you a legend of the present day." He smiles at her more, she seems really nice in his mind.James yawned as he noticed Ashlyn talking to some random guy, and his yawn caused the ground to shake, as if a minor earthquake was happening. Of course, Ashlyn, being as clumsy as she is, fell over, off the spot she was sitting on. She sat up again and glared at James. "Dammit brother! Can't I talk to a cute guy without you screwing it up?"
um, could he stop James's power? Because James's power has so much power flowing out at once that he can't even speak because even just yawning causes an earthquake...>.>
Chris smiles back at her. "Nice to meet you Ashlyn." He looks around a bit and smiles more. "This is nice. Being around other people like me." He shakes his head and looks back at her, his smile not leaving now. "So what is your power? Bet it's something amazing." Him trying to be nice since now these are people that are nice to him, not like the ones hunting him.Ashlyn giggled. "I'm like the bards of legend. If I play a song, it has magical effects. It helped calm down all the nervous people earlier."

He also has a photographic memory, and a supergenius-level intellect, which helps him summon things of such complexity as a mini-mecha or a vehicle of some sort.
Weaknesses Even with his powers, his body is still that of a human, so he can die like a human can.

History Only a year or so after James was born, his parents died in an accident. He was soon sent off to an orphanage, but his extremely high intellect made a group of scientists take interest in him, and they took him for some tests. They experimented on him constantly. Well, up until he was 15 years old, when he finally got tired of the torturous experiments. That was when his powers awakened and, in his rage, he murdered everyone in the facility. If there were any survivors, nobody knows, because nobody wants to talk about that place. Ever since, he's just been a drifter, going from town to town and never staying in one place too long.
Personality James is very quiet most of the time, only speaking when needed. He's also very calm to the point of seeming emotionless, and he doesn't seem to care about most things. He tends to ignore people who annoy him, especially if they talk all the time.
Family he has none. They died when he was still an infant.
Friends None. He has no friends.
