Owen felt that there was something different about this girl. Again it felt like she knew something that he didn't know. The magic section was his mother's favorite area but Owen rarely went into the section but this woman for seemed to like it. Owen kept that same smile. "Oh. The books were my mother's. She always said that they were important for some reason. She never told me why... So what brings you to my shop?"
Name: Owen Hutchins Age: 21 Appearance: Active power: Telekinesis Passive power: Spell Casting Family: Only living relative is his little brother Alex. Owen is very protective of his 15 year old brother and he quit law school to come back home to take care of him. The two get along even though Owen is still trying to be more of a parent and less of a brother after their parents died.
His mother Jennifer Hutchins was always a mystery to Owen. She would vanish for days on end and return with some old looking book. Owen never quite understood what was with his mother. She gave Owen his love of books and reading. She also used to teach him strange lessons such how to talk to fairies or something equally as bizarre.
Patrick Hutchins: His dead father taught Owen how to fight and protect himself. It always seemed like there was something off with him like his wife. Owen always got along better with his father.
Personality:
It's easy to get to know an open person like Owen Hutchins, but if there's anything you should know it's that he's responsible and even tempered. Owen is always cheerful and the very definition of the dutiful son and brother. When his parents mysteriously died, he dropped everything to come home for his brother. Owen has a bit of a hot head and uses his fists much more than his words. Of course he's also confident, flexible and helpful, but those are often overshadowed by tendencies to jump to conclusions.
His tolerance though, this is what he's often adored for. People often count on this and his efficiency whenever they need help.

Occupation: He is the owner of the Twisted Tome Bookstore. He is both the owner and only employee. The store has a steady clientele from when his mother and father ran the store. Owen was going to law school but dropped it to help his family or what remained of it.
Short history:
Owen Hutchins was born to two seemingly normal family. His parents decided that they had to settle down when he was born and thus they opened the Twisted Tome Bookstore for some semblance of normalcy. The two of them raised Owen as a rather normal kid but then Owen turned five years old and something happened. Owen cannot remember what happened but he remembered the smells of fire and sulfur stinging his nose. There was something that happened. He cannot remember it but he did remember the tattoo that suddenly appeared on his skin after that. His mother and father never spoke about what happened that night but Owen tried to translate the tattoo when he got older. It was something to do with Alchemy or maybe something occult. That was the only true strange thing in his young life. His little brother, Alex, was born when Owen was five and they became inseparable. Owen spent his younger years learning from home. His mother decided that he needed to be home schooled for reasons she never quite explained to her son. Family friends would tutor Owen in different topics and all of their lessons had a strange bent to them. Owen never could place it but they all seemed a little odd. One time, he thought he saw his math tutor turn invisible but his parents told him it was nothing.
As he got older, things started to get strange around Owen. He suddenly decided that he needed to go to a regular public high school. His mother was against it but his father allowed him to go. He excelled in his classes but strange things would happen when he was bothered. One time, a glass beaker flew off the table by itself and nearly hit the captain of the football team in the head. Things like this kept happening over the years but Owen ignored them as just random things that just happened. Eventually, Owen got accepted to a local university to follow his dream of being a lawyer.
He spent three years at the university before he got a call that nearly ruined him. Both of his parents had been murdered by someone or something near the bookstore. Owen was devastated but he dropped out of university and went back home to help his brother by running the bookstore. His tattoo's ink seemed to get lighter after his mother died but Owen never noticed. Things are getting very strange around him but he doesn't know what to do.
Anything else I should have asked:
Sexuality: Homosexual but he is not in the open about it.
Owen has always been interested in that tattoo. It occasionally feels like it is burning.
((Kept it vague to add more later. I left out the magic bit cause I wanted Owen to be an utter beginner at Magic.))
The young man at the front desk didn't know what he was looking at. It was one of his ktjers old books and there seemed to be something different about the book. It felt... Old and yet new at the same time. It was as if he had known this book all his life and yet he had never seen it once. Still it was clearly important since he had found it in his old collection.
Owen looked up at the woman in his store. She was always here and he had no idea who she was. Owen set his book down and walked over towards the "magic" section. He figured it was all just made up since Magic wasn't real. "Pardon me,miss. I always see you here and yet I have no idea who you are. I'm Owen. "He said with a soft smile on his face.
@Nymeria Hail! Well met! I would love to do either of those ideas. You can play whichever gender you want since my guys go all ways. I do not care for gender. I could do either of those. I mean I once did a time traveling medieval themed plot and it was quite interesting. I can work on a plot if you want. Hit me up with a PM.
@Blue2 Hail! Well met! I would love to do a Modern Day magic setting. I know a bit about Charmed and the same type of plot. If you would like to do something, hit me up.
