Ivor would do his best to stick to hovering behind the investigator. It seemed the questions were about to head somewhere, instead of moving through the circles. He tried to slip back into standing tall, and looking in control once more but his poker face was slipping. Especially as he recalled trying to fight those things. It was hardly a fight, at most, the troops were able to suppress and slow them down. It didn't look like those things wore armor, but it nearly took a clip of regular ammunition to keep them from moving again. At least knocking them down was fairly easy.
But with standard weaponry, he doubted they could handle more than a small skirmish with them.
It was a good thing his job had mostly been to help evacuate the area and help firemen put out what flames they could.

Ivor's face only darkened and drooped as Eric had continued their descriptions of the ships.
Lasers? Teleporters? Blocky and hovering in the air without mentioned rotors? This was definitely some horror out of a science fiction radio play. He couldn't scramble his brain for how any of those would work, and if these things could teleport.. Where else could they end up? Just how fast?
Would the higher ups even be able to scramble troops fast enough to slow them down?

A bead of sweat dripped down the side of his head as he thought about the possible implications.

"Did, the laser damage the bird or did it shut it down? And was there anything out there that they were searching around, or were near in those woods? Anything that you might've seen on the ground?"
Ivor spoke out, before wincing and pressing his back against the wall.
He, wasn't supposed to talk much on this investigation, at least not yet.
The worry starting to crawl across him was cracking through, though he'd do his best to hide it back behind his cover.
Hope you don't mind i added a bit too.
Thought it'd be interesting for the national guard member to add some details.

Let ne know if I need to redo anything
Ivor Knight was in his camo standing at the back of the room. He was a tall deep tan young man, with a black hair curvy french crop haircut. His eyes were constantly shifting and darting around the room as if inspecting something to come out of the corners at any moment. He held his cover (military hat), over his mouth to hide his expression as the investigation went on.

He was there to monitor, for anything that seemed suspicious about Drake's tale, or perhaps if one of thse aliens came out of the woodwork. There was also some, small fears that the aliens could possibly replace or bodysnatch people though that was more out of fear of the unkown than any evidence thus far.
He still couldn't fully believe that aliens were real, and had land on earth. It seemed serious enough that someone from a higher agency had to step in, a tactical group of the CIA & Airforce from what he could tell from the rapid deployment.

The massive forest fire & the reports of weird combatants had summoned the national guard to clear out the original encounter.
It seemed the investigator was repeating themselves over the looks of those things though.
Those things, aliens, what have you did look mostly identical and weren't very well equipped, despite their unnatural durability.
The 'Greys' was the closests category, it almost looked they were formed from the ground with occasional mud or clay like splotches. Humanoid monsters with faces that Ivor couldn't even define in his report.

Ivor would lean toward the investigator and whisper:

It was better not to overstep a superior officer of any rank.
Especially not now with hell about to break loose.
whatcha up to
Power rangers could be fun. Speaking of which did you hear about Armorsaurs?

I have not heard of armorsaurs, but I could certainly look into it.
SPD & RPM, are a couple of power rangers series I've watched lately.
Not counting Kamen rider ex-aid, buuuut that's around there.

Would ye be okay discussing stuff in PM's?
@TrippyNightmare
Thanks? O:

Greetings,

Just throwing this out there as a bit of a fun experiment.
Essentially it's an urban fantasy adventure, which will probably develop into some action by hunting down the supernatural later down the line.

I'm leaving it fairly open, and feel free to collab or throw out something to add into the world.
Do try to aim for 1-2 paragraphs, or more. If fighting occurs, the defender resolves the result of aggression or attacks etc.

If you have any questions, feel free.
The world can be a dangerous place, much more than most know. It could be a simple car accident, being mugged, or things far worse. There were, monsters out there and far fewer that were able to fight against them. Beasts, and spirits from legends of old, and people, or former persons who had harnessed the occult for cruelty. In the past few decades, monsters have become emboldened and increasingly noticed. The border of supernatural occureces and everyday life was getting thinner. Now strange disappearences, inhuman carnage left behind that used to only be rumored on over years, was starting to prop up monthly. Beasts could hold grudges.

Monsters always lingered behind a thin layer leading to other worlds. Typically the most willful or simply the luckiest could find their way in, but there were other methods. A few families had deals, or bloodline connections spanning back well beyond memory to bring over supernatural creatures to the earthly realm. Summoning pacts, that could empower both the supernatural creatures and the human forming the bond. Monsters & people were, fluid by nature like any they had the capacity for good or evil depending on their individual goals.
Wardens, were those to keep in charge of the both the supernatural entities and those who knew of them. Lately the number of wardens had dwindled, those with the capacity to summon even far more miniscule. Those who had the capacity for it were oftened determined at an early age.

This one, had been slightly different. A dishelved mid-twenties accountant had been pulling an all nighter in their small-office, when an unusual door had appeared. While in their younger years, they had long been informed to be cautious of supernatural occurences. Their heart yearned, and begged to go toward it. This door, could possibly be the one spoken of in their youth. They begged it was doorway to a pact meeting! Something, that had long been given up on. They'd be lying to themselves if they weren't at least elated at the chance. There was also, a possibility that it could be a gateway to something else entirely, maybe even a disastrous end. A risky choice, but now, they had few to leave behind.
They would dust off their thrifted sports-jacket, brush through their curly hair & step through. No matter the choice, there was going to be some form of sacrifice made tonight, whether it be something big, or small was a risky.

On the otherside of the door was a place that felt familiar. A race track, with small cerberi running forth. Whether the place was an illusion, or entirely real was uncertain. This 'space' could be simply a refracted look into one of the 'otherworlds', a space conjure purely for comforts, or something far worse.
The accountant tried calm themselves by watching the numbers constantly flick and change across the betting boards.

They were meet someone here, or even multiple someones.
For all they knew it could be some form of spirit, angel, fae, demi-beasts or even a demon if luck was short.
It would likely require some sacrifice to form the bond, to empower both of those in the pact and bring the supernatural entity to the eartly realm, or at least partially so. It was extremely rare that nothing at all had been required as payment.
Stopping by yo give a simple hello!
