I've found a mantra that's been doing a good job at getting me through things as of late: "I love how much this sucks."

Favorite quotes from games I've played (No order, rhyme, or reason. I just think they're neat.)

"Don't worry ma'am. I know what the aliens like." -Sgt. Maj. Johnson, Halo 3 ODST

"I might be big, and not as strong as the other guys... but the one thing I'm not... IS WEAK!" -Murray, Sly 2

"The important thing is not how long you live... it's what you accomplish with your life." -Grovyle, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

"You're a slave to history. Even after Calamity, you fight against the only order that can guarantee the safety of your people. You, solely, are responsible for this." -Crimson 1, Project Wingman

"Raven. Let's meet this new age... together." -Ayre, Armored Core 6

"It took me a while, but I finally figured out that this isn't about me, about what I want. Not anymore. It's about keeping this city safe. And once you're dead, no one will ever threaten it again." -Cole Macgrath, Infamous.

"You think she's free? Now she has to live with her decisions." -Starkiller, Star Wars: Force Unleashed

WIP Character. Thoughts?

Baron reached out to the side of the train, taking a moment as he grabbed a flag pole that flapped from the side of the train, and broke down the pole with a snap. He sheared the flag off the pole with his kukri, tossing the thin rod off the moving train as he began to roll up the flag to improvise himself a red-and-black armband. Chimeratic didn’t keep track of who was who for the most part, so a guy no one recognized wouldn’t immediately raise alarm bells. So long as he wasn’t recognized, although that shouldn’t be an issue given the few that did know what he looked like weren’t able to access the metaverse anymore.

“Doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea. But if an actual Chimeratic guy comes through for the inspection, they might be a bit harder to fool than the average shadow.” Baron shrugged, as he started to tie the impromptu armband around his bicep. “Or easier, depending. Some of these guys are just dumbasses.” He said with a slight chuckle.

There was the off chance something went wrong, though. So, almost casually, he pitched an idea to them as if it was an afterthought. “If I get into trouble, I’ll make a lot of noise so you know the score. Hopefully, that won’t happen, and Chimeratic won’t realize they’re being played until it’s too late.” He then turned back towards the train’s controls, and paused for a minute. Fortunately, shadows weren’t always the smartest creatures, not to mention people on occasion, so the large lever and overhead handle that made up the brakes and whistle respectively weren’t hard to miss, and were clearly labeled. He figured that was about all he needed to know, anyways.

The rp is still open and will stay open. As for someone playing a Gen'dai character. I have to say no to that, but I understand where you are coming from with playing a species that is not used much. Which I encourage but, just not a Gen'dai character.

Fair 'nuff
@Theyra

One: Are you still looking for people?

Two (apologies for length): Is it godmodding if I pick a cannon species that is infamously difficult to properly kill? (Gen'dai. What Durge from 2005 CW and Rayvis from Survivor were. Intense regeneration, with a nerve cluster in their brainstem that is just about the only part of their body they can't regenerate, making it the only way to truly kill them shy of leaving nothing to regenerate back from.)

The caveat to that would be sure, it's incredibly hard to kill them, but not nearly as hard to incapacitate them. Sufficient damage in-lore takes them minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or even years to regenerate fully depending on the extent of the damage.

If you aren't alright with a Gen'Dai character, I can always just run something else. They're just one of those species in Star Wars you don't see a lot of, and are weird/potent enough to be interesting. Not to mention that they can have plenty of character beyond 'horror movie monster' as they live for centuries, and aren't just dumb brutes.

Character concept would be a Gen'Dai security guard for another PC. The quiet big guy kinda character, who in a more political game would be mostly be stopping attempts to intimidate/assassinate his charge and making the occasional observation/comment. Or maybe, for a more cutthroat/corrupt politician, being an intimidating wall of sentient meat to go menace political opponents.
In that moment, it struck Baron that it might not have been the wisest move, drawing the beast’s attention to himself. As the pillar of fire formed, he braced himself and felt… nothing. Not the heat of the flames, not any other attack. The blue arrows that struck back clued him in on what had happened.

He didn’t share any further snide comments towards the beast as it started to slow down, some hint that they’d worn the creature down. Now, it was finally time to put the damned thing out of it’s misery.

Baron lowered his machine gun and raised his phone as Thespian closed, opting to avoid fratricide if possible. Instead, he tapped the button on the app, summoning his other self once again. “Persona!” He exclaimed, as he called the lanky armored figure into being in that burst of crimson flames, before leveling a hand at Cerberus once again, a gesture Lackland mirrored.

Mafrei

He turned briefly towards Signora as she summoned her own persona, he nodded to her briefly as his attack launched in tandem, her crossbow bolts striking at the same time as the burst of searing radioactive light.
Baron scowled as his attempt to take the brunt of the aggression was promptly ignored. As if even these shadows didn’t recognize him as something worthy of much notice. Rage set in, as he reaffirmed his stance, brushing off the scorched section of his armor and doing his best to ignore the searing pain underneath.

Then the pain was gone mere moments after it had come, as the wave of healing light washed over the group courtesy of Signora. “Thanks!” Baron said quickly, as he shifted towards one of Cerberus’ sides as best he could in the narrow space, to avoid catching the others in his line of fire.

Finally, deciding his abilities weren’t the best call at the moment as they had already been strengthened, and only faced one foe. For a moment, Baron couldn't help but think of himself as superfluous, just another body to throw at the problem. After a fraction of a second to catch his breath, Baron opted for the most reliable of his options; his belt-fed machine gun. With a bit more panache than it warranted, he dove towards one side of the engine car so as to not catch the others in his line of fire, before bringing his weapon to bear against the beast before them.

Attack

Baron simply held down the trigger as he attempted to stitch a line of fire across the creature’s side, hoping to draw more of the thing’s ire. Still, one particular power of his was in the back of his mind, though he’d rather avoid using it unless the fight started to appear dire. Still, Thespian had raised a point. It was better if they knew what each other were planning, or capable of.
