Music?

Magic.
<Snipped quote by Host>

Maybe so, but you helped add a little bit more context. It didn't even cross my mind that something owned by the government might have been for public use.

<Snipped quote by Balance>

That's what I was counting on, but I didn't really know what kind of info.

So let's go for it then.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

I had no idea there was so much to it.

What is it like for you?
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Accurate to what?

Precise, I mean. The more rules I learn.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Why don't you have a perception of what music should sound like?

I do. But the more accurate it is, the better, as far as I've observed.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

I guess so. I don't know much about your magic.

Chaos and order go hand in hand. One can exist without the other, but you need the concept of one to understand the other. So if I don't have a perception of what orderly music should be, my idea of chaotic music is nebulous and ill-defined—and, for me, less powerful.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Huh... I thought it would be something more.

<Snipped quote by Host>

Oh... that would probably make sense if the same applied here then.

I mean, it's still a library. It has info in droves.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Is music supposed to sound like anything?

Culturally, yes. For me to think music has "correctness" of sorts is enough for my magic—you and I both know how perception-based it is.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

It does help?

It super helps. The more I know about what normal music is supposed to sound like, the more accurate my dissonant music can be.

oh right
